Great video, just one thing I want to comment on: vampires historically were never in any danger from humans which is why they lived so openly among mankind (mostly as ‘gods’) before the Volturi rose to power. The Romanians and Egyptians were the most notable among these vampires. It should be noted that even a single vampire could destroy entire human armies, in fact when the humans in Eastern Europe at the time grew tired of their ostensibly cruel Romanian vampire overlords, they occasionally amassed armies to overthrow the coven. These armies were treated as easy and bountiful feasts by the Romanians. The sheer invulnerability of the vampires was the main reason the vampires of the time scoffed at the Volturi’s insistence that they be more secretive during their initial rise to power. The volturi’s excuse for this secrecy was that it made hunting more convenient for every vampire, a flimsy one at best. In reality, creating laws of secrecy was a way for the volturi to maintain and enforce control over the entire vampire world, a tactic that continues to be effective to the present day. When the volturi couldn’t convince the ancient vampires into submission, they destroyed them instead. They also created many more vampires, indoctrinating them with their laws and setting them loose into the world. These tactics ensured their dominance would spread and be all encompassing. Fast forwarding to the 20th century, humans advancements in technology gave birth to weapons of mass destruction. These weapons were proof for many vampires that the volturi’s laws of secrecy were justified. However it is mentioned in the official guide that even with weapons as powerful as nuclear bombs, the vampire race as a whole is under no threat of annihilation by humans, if they wished, they could still topple human civilizations and regain their initial status. The volturi’s dominating laws prevent this from happening and still remain an excuse to rule over the vampire world. Also, Demetri was created by Amun centuries after the volturi destroyed his original Egyptian coven. They only let him live because he and his mate Kebi disavowed their own coven and switched sides in an effort to save themselves. Secretly, Amun wanted to turn humans with exceptional psychic talents with the hope of one day getting revenge on the volturi and overthrowing them. Demetri was his first foray into this project, but Aro caught wind of his incredible tracking ability and with the help of Chelsea, stripped Demetri away from Amun. The only reason Aro let him live is because he enjoys toying with Amun, who is terrified of Aro and the volturi. Even knowing Amun’s true intentions Aro does not consider him a real threat to the volturi. With Benjamin, Amun was neurotically careful and has mostly kept him hidden in ancient Egyptian tombs, in fact the first time any other vampire outside of the present day Egyptian coven came into contact with Benjamin was when the Cullens sought out their help in breaking dawn.
@@Makkaru112 genuinely I think Meyer got the inspiration for her vampires having marble like skin from the vampire chronicles. It’s such a niche and odd characteristic. She just decided to go the full route and make them more like invincible superheroes than the more traditional Anne rice vamps.
I would love a vid on vampires origins. Where did they come from? Who was the 1st? How did the whole thing started? And I mean like with VD, Esther Mikaelson and her sister were abuducted by Bezerker vikings, abandoning Dahila, asking for a fertility spell, *WAY* before coming to America, and everything else after that. All those is part of the 3rd question. SO. Where did they come from? Who was the 1st? How did the whole thing started?
There is nice stuff from the main enkil video of his! He did great explaining the Vampire Diaries as well as the Originals or whatever that other show was called. It had some pretty cool authentic celtic stuff going on.
Why couldn’t Twilight have been this story of a newcomer vampire coven rising to power through cunning and selecting the right people to overthrow a dominant clan who ruled through strength alone? It’d have been AWESOME! 🤩
This was an Incredible Masterpiece Origin Video for My All Time Favorite Vampires in The Twilight Saga. Hey Vampire Folklore can please make a video on how Sebastian/The Merciless The Old World Pirate Vampire from Legacies Played by Thomas Doherty got Desiccated and how he got buried under The Salvatore Boarding School for The Young and Gifted?
Love these! You should do a video on the vampires from Vampire academy! They have such good lore even tho it hasn’t come to screen all that well 🤦🏾♀️🤣
I thought Marcus' gift was an ability to know how things would turn out. Not specific precognition, like Alice, but a broad general understanding of whether or not the Volturi would be successful in an endeavour.
Do a video of Michael Corvin from Underworld. Don't forget to include his role in Underworld Endless War. You forgot or left Underworld Endless War for your Selene video.
I wish there was a book dedicated to the Volturi!!

Akasha and Enkil for sure
So firebombing them and “nukes” won’t be a threat to them? I think so….

Twilight Vampires are vulnerable to fire, meaning that a sufficiently irritated group of humans could potentially overpower a lone vampire.
