Ive gotten some really good deals and I've been had. 2200 for a completely gone through Super A isn't bad compared to buying a junker for 750 and sinking 3K in it to make it nice. In the end only one guy really needs to be happy
I had a guy look at a H we had gone through and fresh paint and decals, new clutch, magneto, seat! Everything was top notch! We asked $2500.00 for it the going rate at that time for some in not as good condition! He said I can buy those for $500.00 each! I told him to go for it you won’t get this one at all! I’ve overhauled and reconditioned many Farmalls

I had my Farmall H GIVIN to me. I stuck around 7 grand into it with the turbo and new tires. It's definitely doesn't take long and you sunk a lot into them. That's why they call it...a labor of love....

BTW a very good looking 1086 auction coming up in my county in May along with a pair of weathered but look serviceable 1066's and 684 with a loader. Plus there's a W9 for sale in the western neighboring county and a fully restored 1954 Super MTA diesel over in the eastern neighboring county.
Some bargains to be had and few thing's that you couldn't give away over here lol. That's why I like watching the auctions over there with you so different to us up here in the Highlands of Scotland mate tc until the next one.👍

Very surprised the David Brown 880 at only $900, very good price. Little surprised the combines only getting what they did, but then again you have to get them home after, which could be a chore. But very nice Super A at a fantastic price, wow. You paid for the tires and got the rest of the tractor. In restored condition at that!!!
Nice little Super A. You did well. Paid good money for them, but YOU got them. That's what I like to say. Paint that buzz saw. I'd get it sand blasted first. Don't ever want to see that green again.

That 300 looked good! W-4 looked sweet! Pass on the Massey combine! Second 300 not to bad! The Allis is a pass! That Allis B is nice! That Super A is my weakness! That 9600 sounds solid! Sold ours for $11,000.00 15 years ago! That A sounds good!
The A’are my favorite tractor I was 22 years old standing in the rear cultivators for my zgrandpa in 1988 to make sure the rears were digging his garden on the lift all s system Gid knows along with everyone in my family how I lived that tractor he promised he would leave the tractor to me but my uncle sold it with the farm I was more crushed about that tractor being gone tgem and he grayest place from my childhood being gone I was so broken up thinking how some stranger was getting that tractor that was promised to me I still hold that against my sun le I know I need to let it go a therapist told me the memory was causing me ptsd snd that made me feel worse

More than I would have paid for the 520. I think it's been sitting and someone did what was needed to get running. New manifolds, no sediment bowl and a home made fuel shut off into an in line filter. Was going to need a water pump and or radiator. Would be a good solid project.

At Crawford fair one year had several full pull offs against a case. The exhaust manifold got glowing cherry red. Told the fireman that was about to spray it with water, that if he did he would kill him.

I owned a WD 45 once. They are a awkard tractor. The PTO is weak. Hard to climb up on. It did not suit me at all. felt lucky to sell it and get my money back. The letter series Farmalls are easy to operate.
Yeah, that Super A with the cultivators was a really good deal. The A was nice, but paint don't pull the plow. The 93 going for $600 was a good deal also. They used to be sell for about twice that not too long ago. Might have brought more if it was closer to Rantoul. And was that $550 for a non IH FH plow?? Haaaaaahahahahahaha!!!! I got a few to get rid of at that price. Jeez Louise! Gonna buy me a mansion. Oh boy!
@@FarmallFanatic I have a 6' & two 7's. One of the 7's is an actual IH blade with the tubular frame. IH did not make a square framed one that I've seen. There's another sitting on my gooseneck, but I forget the size. That has the small prongs for a Super C, so I'm thinking that's a 6' also.
I gave 2400 for my 140. It has good rubber and runs like a top, but it's no restoration. I have about 300 bucks in home building a 3 point hitch for it, and I can do just about anything you can do with a new 25 hp compact tractor that'll cost you a good 12 or 13 grand if not more.
The price on that 520 JD would of been insane in my area. Dirt cheap for a JD that style is about 4 grand for something in that same shape. Most of the time that style and a few bigger models would be 6 to 7500.
Let me tell you most my family is red only but we do have one that is green..was a Ohio/Michigan now I'm Florida. There is a campground here has a 4? Tractor sitting out front that some jackass painted green I just like to hurt someone

I think someone wound out the cold start on the David Brown injector pump. They run rough and smoke like that if the cold start is on.
