Joe, I've been a subscriber for a little while now. I enjoy your reviews very much. I just have to ask one thing. Are you on a first name basis with the local PD and FHP? If not, I would hate to see the number of tickets in your glove box...lol
The design of F430 is an improvement of 360 Modena that it replaced. I love the beautiful design all around, except the oval front air intakes. I prefer to have it more angular like the F430 Scuderia. Engine sound isn't to be overly excited about, however. I would rather hear F355 or 350 Modena any day instead of this F430.
It sure is one of the greatest, but again just my opinion, I think that award goes to the 458 Italia which this car replaced. The F430 is amazing, way better than the 360 it replaced, but if you want a naturally aspirated V8 which is good on the road and on track with a much better transmission and looks sexy as hell, I think it is the 458 Italia.
There really isn’t much of a difference though until you’re well past 100 mph. I think this is what separates the F430 vs 360 and other lower hp Ferrari’s. After 70-80 mph the 360 is falling way behind.

Everybody who has driven one does. Don’t go falsely accusing me as to what the manettino switch does. Looks like he had it in Sport mode at the beginning and left it in sport mode which many do. While just cruising and warming up the car I keep in Sport.
