I had no idea the Desolation Squad guns looked actually good and cool underneath the giant stupid rockets, a giant anti tank rifle with a chain feed. That’s what a heavy bolter ought to look like!
Damn man, love your style of vids and conversions so far, keep up the good work! Also; nice garand thumb style intro! Also, Also; love the positivity, you did it just right!
If you have more mechanical limbs like the Skitari leg you used to position the launcher, you could use them to hold the ammo drum with the belt feed just off the bottom of the back pack. This would give the impression that their equipment adjusts to their position so theyre not uncomfortable or hindered by their equipment.
Absolutely fantastic. You mete the Emperor's will with purity and bring a great honor, battle brother. Is this your custom chapter? The paint scheme is pretty neat. Keep making videos this was a really great production!
I honestly still love the original design because I love the goofiness of 40k but this is honestly as hell. You gave me ideas on how to make a primaris Devastator squad too!
Looking good and sounding swell man. This is a simple, elegant albeit fiddly approach, but it really looks the part I dont think there's much can be said about the video itself, the flow will naturally improve even more with comfort talking aloud. You're off to a stellar start, keep it up I tip my hat to thee, sir
Good job, with this box the main problem is the absurd weapons' shape, a more realistical shape would've been welcome. At least with this conversion the figures became more realistical. I hope to see other jobs of yours, and the paint scheme is intriguing, remember me of the early RT space marines in late '80s!✌
I've seen Pete The Wargamer doing conversions by bulking out the chest with a thin layer of greenstuff after scraping off the chest decorations to give a more heavily armored look, and aside from looking reminiscent of earlier marks of armor I think the tacticool aesthetic would fit in well for devastators. Also what about using the existing loading arm on the devastator packs to mount the launcher tubes to?
crushed it, they look absolutely sick, though I think the guy with the single giant rocket is the worst-looking guy in the vanilla kit and could have used some fixing. maybe just using a straight up OG Devastator Missile Launcher
Thanks brother, personally I like how over the top he looks, but the devestator missile idea still seems like a banger of an idea! Thanks for watching :)
Ohhh god my friend trims SUCKS (im a Black Templar ....) and what a nice conversion ! Here take a thumb up my friend ! (im now planning to make my Templar with less trimmed shoulder pads ^^)
@@LordCrate-du8zm I was planning on using the arms and missile launchers from the Weapons upgrade pack. I will probably add them to Intercessors and then go with Cadian grenade launchers from my bits bin. I may put the grenade launchers on the backpack if they don't fit along the missile launchers
@@ConversionBeam Bro it's not like i see it as Cringe is just that it's Missile Launchers are on the Back of the Primaris marine which the Power Pack is located... Whoever greenlit that original nerf blaster should be given a very gentle talking to over some tea and cookies.
Great vid, concise and clear and the conversions are awesome! Nice to see them painted at the end too.
Thanks heaps brother!
IMHO, the main issue with these models are their guns. They are 'do everything' weapons that fit better to ork flashgitz than space marines.
The guns are so orky!
You actually turned a complete trash design into a decent looking one, with so few extra bits. I'm impressed.
I had no idea the Desolation Squad guns looked actually good and cool underneath the giant stupid rockets, a giant anti tank rifle with a chain feed. That’s what a heavy bolter ought to look like!
Honestly, as a newbie the desolation marines look like a fun first kit bashing project

Super refreshing to see a marine with a different loadout / kit. Awesome job man. Kudos!
Oh wow those rifles look good without the missiles

It sure is and I most certainly will :)

Yeah it’s certainly not as bad as I gave it credit for, hey thanks for watching though!

I appreciate the feedback brother, very glad you’re enjoying as well :)
Huge fan of how these came out
I must have brain damage, because these are the only primaris models I like.
I actually would have preferred if they had simply been true scale Devastators with rocket launchers, but with multiple tubes instead of just one.
Halo style
Very nice. Love it!!… more please!
Yes sir!
nice video! love the humor 😄
Thanks brother, glad you enjoyed!
I wouldve just left the missile being launched upwards. VLS systems are very real and very useful even today.
I plan to try this but using Gravis armor bodies.

You fixed them very well good job!!
Really cool conversion, looks great
this is awesome, I subscribing just cause I think you're cool
Well I think you’re cool for subscribing!
great job pal!
2:51 the top part of the rocket rifles sorta look like space marine sized ar15s
Awesome stuff!

Bit better but the kit will always look like giant nerf guns.
I didnt know I needed this video, what a joy to watch someone normalize some of the worse looking models in any sci fi setting.
0:08 I'm gonna need you to credit that artist there chief. For ummm...
I’ll let the Commissar know that you’re looking for it
Nice results. I may go with the Horus Heresy Missile Launcher from the upgrade kit and then mount the grenade launcher on the backpack.
Are the hands compatible?

I see@@mayofrench5170
You should zoom out a bit during the intro, so we can see the plaid shirt.
I converted from the old rocket launcher guys
nice
Aaaaaaaand.... Subscribed!
How to make a conversion:
Step 1. Remove the aquila
Cool
Good work. But you have to possess a endless pile of bits :)
Yeah not bad tbh!
Thank you, kind and comfortable seat
cool video! what is the name of your custom chapter?
My chapter is called the Iron Angels :)
perfection! great job!!!!@@ConversionBeam
