Sir, I'm studying in a private medical college. In our college, when a student wants to leave from the college for a few days, as in leaving hostel. It has to be approved by the principal directly. The principal is not approachable at all. It makes harder for us to leave. I'm 22 yrs old, and I even have to send applications one by me and from my parents asking for a leave, and even after doing so, it's highly unlikely that he would grant permission to leave.
Without his permission, if we leave the vicinity, there's a huge amount of fine for the punishable offense.
I m recently suffering from a medical problem, for cure of which I need a surgery.
I can not approach him for leave. He is on leave. And if I leave this vicinity they will charge a fine for sure.
I don't know upto wht extent my rights are, or wht to do.

Write an anonymous complaint to the jurisdictional SDM and/or SDPO(ACP/DSP), explicitly stating that your fundamental rights are being curtailed in an unreasonable manner, owing to the preposterous procedures regarding casual/medical leave set up at the institute you are studying. You may submit this complaint via speed post or email it. The foolish, arrogant principal (based on information shared by you), has no sweeping authority to control your freedoms in such a totalitarian manner. Also, what did you sign at the time of joining this place? Can any undertaking/statement be used against you? - Not A Lawyer!

@@karansharma2352 thank you very much for the information sir. At the time of admission, they have a certain procedure. Parents come from far away, thousands of kilometres away from here and at the time of admission, they tend to rush the process. They have a lot of documents which are to be undertaken and signed by us. There isn't enough time to go through the conditions and people usually just sign it one by one, without reading it thoroughly. My parents were lucky tht they did not sign as they pleased. But I signed something in person with other students. And I don't have a copy either.

dont do fight the case...it will take years and years to put u behind bars as maximum imprisonment is 3 years in this offense..u can appeal up to supreme court

@@johnsnow3279 But my client doesn't want the prolonged proceedings as he wants to sell the vehicle involved in the offence ..and also the victim is the family member of the accused so they won't file any MACT application..
