With the release of VRR on the PS5 you can now have 1440p at up to 120Hz or 4K 40+ fps on Spider Man 1 and 2 or Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart Note the PS5 is 48-120Hz and anything falling below 48 fps will need to switch the LFC or Low Framerate Compensation mode to prevent stuttering and tearing which is a game dependent feature at the moment).

Great video man! I’ve been needing exactly this device in order for me to be able to play my 120HZ games while streaming into my Elgato 4K60+ but since the Elgato doesn’t have 120HZ pass through, I haven’t streamed as playing Warzone at 60Hz is almost unbearable to me now lol.

I have an Elgato HD60X which is 120hz passthrough. Do you think that if I have HDCP disabled, this would let me send the signal in my PS5 compatible monitor and In my Elgato while still outputting in both in 2k 120hz?

Nice I’m about to test my vrroom and see what 8k at 60hz looks like then compare to 4K at 120hz. Anyone with a cpu or next gen console needs something like this in my opinion. This setup ain’t cheap to run but it is a game changer for sure.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the Video and recommending the switcher. Great Job. I have one PS5 console connect to Philip Sync Box which can only support 60hz in 4k or 120hz in 1440p/1080 to my Sony x90h TV in 120hz option, Dolby or VRR. Philips Sync Box provides lighting effect colors via the hdmi 2.0
Im wondering if i can have this OREI switcher connects PS5 to the Philips Sync Box for option 1 output to get 4k 60hz and while option 2 output to get 4k 120hz bypassing the Philips Sync Box. Will i be able to switch between those 2 options? Im not looking to display both at the same time but im looking to switch between those 2 options..
Option 1 ouput: PS5 > Philips Sync Box > Sony TV = 4k 60hz with philips sync box hue lighting effect
Option 2 output: PS5 > Sony TV = 4k 120hz without philips sync box lighting effect.
Also is there any OREI switch model with the same specifications but supports 3 hdmi output rather than just 2?
With the same scenario as explain above due to the limitations of philip sync box output, im thinking of connecting the 3rd hdmi output for my PC to display 4k in 120hz with and without the philip sync box.

I’m planning on recording my ps5 on my laptop but I don’t really want to get a $500 capture card that can passthrough 120 hz for output. So hypothetically,
If I connected my PS5 on here as input and and have 2 hdmi as out, one for my monitor and one hooked up to a budget capture card (60 fps passthrough), would that allow me to play 120 fps on my screen (the monitor) and still record that gameplay on obs at 60 frames?
Because buying budget capture card with an “in” directly connected to the ps5 basically does not allow the 120 hz to go through because it’s a 60 output so it doesn’t matter if the ps5 can give 120 but through this method I can still play 120 on my separate screen and the other connected to my laptop on the 60 fps capture card thinking it’s another display

After weeks of searching I think I've found what I need! I'm using the astro optical adapter for my headset which means I can't get hdmi 2.1... Would this splitter allow me to use one output to go straight from ps5 to monitor at 4k120hz while using the other output to use the astro adapter and take its sound? Would really appreciate a response!

Hey Steve I am struggling to find an hdmi splitter or switch for my Xbox series x. When my series x is directly plugged into The two displays I am using I can achieve the max qualities the displays and system allow. So with the direct connection my insignia firetv supports it’s full UHD 2160p at its max 60hz and my asus achieves its max 1080p and goes up to the max 120hz allowed by the series x. But with Every splitter I’ve used that support hdmi 2.0, HDCP, 4kUHD and 60-120hz does not allow UHD gaming on my insignia f30 series and downscales it to 1080p, even when using manual scaling switch’s or being the only output plugged into the splitter the UHD gaming doesn’t work. Is there a splitter I could use on my series x that would allow me to simultaneously use the tv and monitor at both their highest qualities that I listed above? Or at least an hdmi switch that could keep the tv at 2160UHD 60hz and the monitor at 1080p while using 120/or 60z whenever switching between the two outputs on the hdmi switch?
