This video saved me from an unneccesseray purchase. I almost bought a DVI to HDMI even though I have a DP cable and a HDMI cable. If it werent mentioned I never would have realised that my PC has both HDMI and DP input. For that I am forever grateful
This had to be the most simplest and helpful video I have ever seen. You helped me solve my remote dual monitor issue in 10 minutes. Prior to this video it had taken me two days. Thanks so much.
I just got two additional monitors and I needed help I went through about 5 videos and yours was the one I needed THANK YOU!!! Time to get to streaming ❤
omg. after multiple videos this is the ONLY one that worked....i kept checking settings on my computer and didn't think about changing monitor setting to display port. TY TY TY!!!!
So glad you mentioned the graphics card and the obsolete ports above it. I was banging my head into a wall trying to figure out why the hell they weren’t working.
I think you can sometimes use the on board graphics from the Motherboard as well if you enable it from the BIOS software firmware. The onboard graphics card is disabled when you add an additional graphics card, but you can override it in the BIOS if you want to (more often than not).
I had two monitors on my last computer but I got this new tower and tried to set two monitors up and the mouse would not go from one to the other. I had to take the mouse and go off of the Right monitor all the way to the Right then the mouse would enter the Left monitor from the Left. Your trick of DRAGING one monitor to the other side WORKED GREAT!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
straightforward content is SO refreshing! Might you help? I set up a touchscreen portable monitor and am having an issue with separating the touchscreen function from affecting the main monitor. As for the mouse, I can use it independently on each device, but when I try to use touchscreen with finger or pen tool, the mouse action is on both monitors. I'm a novice busy-minded Grandmammy and really will very much appreciate your assistance. Thank you in advance.😊 My tower is a refurb HP Elite Desk There are two display ports, no HDMI, therefore I am using display to HDMI for connection to each monitor. I have verified that drivers are up to date on any port I and employing. The portable monitor is a UPERFECT Y touchscreen model.
Each monitor has to connect to the computer. A splitter is used if you want the same display to be shown on multiple monitors. If you want to use extended screens, you'll need to connect the 2nd monitor to the computer somehow. You may be able to use a USB to VGA adapter. It may or may not work
Do you have a video that shows how to duplicate monitor to TV? Cant get mine back to duplicate, Just shows etend option. no matter what i do it goes back to extend3ed monitors. Please help!!!
I purchased a cheap splitter on Ebay and it did exactly what you said (duplicate image). What splitters do you recommend that will do the job without paying a lot of money? Most splitters don't mention their capabilities online. What word(s) in the splitter specifications should we be looking for that will do the actual splitting of multiple screens? Thanks!
I have a portable monitor that I want to use as a second monitor for my gaming setup. The portable monitor has mini hdmi to regular hdmi but my pc only has DisplayPort and hdmi on the graphics card. And my main monitor is connected to the hdmi port on my pc. If I get an adapter, will the mini hdmi to DisplayPort adapter work with the portable monitor?
Thank you for explaining that only the lower hdmi port is connected to the graphics card! was my main issue the entire time as I kept trying to connect using my upper hdmi port. Such a silly mistake.....but so glad you explained it!
Love that you're using old monitors could you assist me connecting a thinkpad laptop with only one hdmi port with the 3d asus monitor and the asus vg27a
I want to use my main monitor for desktop and gaming on my oled tv without the desktop displaying on tv so when I start a game it's starts on my oled....can it be done?
For some reason, my Multiple Display option is gone, I'm not sure why or how it happened but, I can't display my Wacom Tablet 13...the only thing that works is the Pen itself and the touch screen. Do you have any idea how to fix it?
And how to change hz so one could have 144 and another 75? Cuz when i try to change main monitor from 60 to 144 it doesnt let, i think because of second monitor cuz its limited to 75 hz

Question..I have 2 large monitors and I need 1 of them at eye level., when I put the other one to the side my head moves too much..is there a solution?
Hi, how to adjust the display color? It seems the other monitor is darker than the other one. I have the same model of monitor, one is attached via hdmi and the other one is via display port.
If you need to switch back and forth between computers on the same 2 monitors, look into a KVM switch. Make sure the KVM switch supports 2 computer inputs and 2 video outputs. KVMs can be pricey though. If both monitors have 2 video inputs, you can plug each PC into both monitors. This will work well, but you will need to manually change the input on the monitors as needed. You will also need to use a different set of keyboard/mouse per computer OR manually reconnect them to whatever PC you are actively using.
@@JJFlores197 Yeah, it sounds like a KVM is the answer. Now I just need to find one. They seem to be hard to find locally and I am not too sure on the brands that are solid.
