What would be a good compromise for sponsorships (which let’s be honest, he deserves the money that can be made with sponsorships with this pure quality of content) is if at the bottom corner of the screen there is an overlay like “to skip sponsor go to (time)”. Revanced does have an auto sponsor skip option but far less people use Revanced compared to normal TH-cam or TH-cam Premium.

I've been greatly enjoying iOS 17 since installing the RC (now the final build), and I have been very pleased with performance. One thing I'd love to see is just how different the iOS 16 image processing is compared to the iOS 17 image processing, something I suspect some of the photography-related channels may illustrate. Great video & update. But haven’t we always been able to see weather animations in iOS 16? I’ve always been able to see the rain animations & storm etc.

I have some questions:
About the new "HEIF MAX" and "RAW 12" and "RAW MAX" options. how does that look like on iPhone 14/14 plus or iPhone 13 pro max? Since you tested it using Iphone 14PM which has a 48MP sensor.
Basically how will it look on an iPhone that does not have the 48MP sensor. What are the available options in that case?
If an older phone that has a 12MP sensor, then wouldnt the "RAW 12" and "RAW MAX" be the same since 12 MP is the max?
Also, it would have been nice if you took couple pictures using all formats and compared them to see which one looks better and what are the quality differences and file sizes as well.
Apple is adding too much to the Camera both hardware and software that it's hard to keep track of everything

Here is good news, iOS 17 RC build is the exact same as the final version, so with people like myself that have installed the RC build on the 12th, I’ve had the final version a week early, which is amazing.

I updated to the RC from 16.6.1 a couple days back on a 13 pro. It’s probably the same build.. still checking.
Battery life is the same, there are a few new micro stutters here and there. Keyboard lag on spotlight search is fixed (whoa they managed to fix a year old bug!). The screen wake up delay bug stays on and notifications jumping around stay on, disappointingly. Reported to feedback once again but who's looking!? I was expecting a lot worse though.
Edit 2: The carplay lag has gone away after a forced restart and in fact it now feels faster than ios16.
how good or bad is the battery life and lag on the 13 pro?

@@mrnino5086 There's no change in battery life. No real lags, apart from a very long lag when starting music playback on carplay and a slight lag when opening a mailbox on mail app.

Running iOS 17 release version… I noticed that when viewing a Contact with the new Contact Poster, the storage size of the Phone app or the Contacts app (depending on which app you’re viewing), keeps getting larger every time you view the profile. it reached 4GB!!! That’s ridiculously large size for Contacts App.
iOS 17 has been incredibly smooth for me on my release day iPhone 14 pro (97%battery health). Easily getting 8.5 hours of SOT! Love from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰
Depends on what apps you use. But I get 9-11 hours on a 100% bh iPhone 12 on iOS 16.6.1
How you could get the SOT if it’s just released?
@@cjjk9142 iPhone 12 is good to take phone calls , answer texts and take basic photos. The 14 pro rocks an amazing camera, a16 bionic chip, 120hz, dynamic island and much more. Thus more power consuming in addition to more features on iOS 17 😊

I just found out something really interesting about the ringtones! So, apparently on some of them if you listen, carefully, you will notice that Apple has decided to use the taptic engine as a woofer speaker. Daybreak is one such tone. It really just makes everything very nice. Having that bit of bass boost is a game changer, especially in an older phone like mine such as the iPhone 12 Pro.
I tried Daybreak on my iPhone 12 just to try and listen but I decided to go with Chirp that new ringtone was making me dance 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

The screen in the standby mode gets turned off within a second even though my phone is being charged and in landscape position! Any one with same problem?

Thanks for the update! I just updated my very first iPhone with this version. I made the executive decision to switch from android after at least a decade! Hey Aaron, so the bugs seemed to remain in the 'Final' Build, as its exactly the same as the RC version.
This Notification Center bug seems to affect all Face ID models that has the 'Search' function Enabled in the Home Screen settings in the Settings app.
If you scroll between your pages on the home screen, the swipe down to open the notification center, it is very noticeably lagging/dropping frames.
It can be reproduced on all models.
Sadly, since no new Build has been released, this issue still persists. (And everyone who installs the update will have it as a bug, as it seems..).
Can you explain to me what this notification bug is exactly? Thank you. I have not updated yet..
It exists on ios 16 also so you can update. Overall iOS 17 seems to be more stable than 16 with less bugs.@@jaap3646
I see stutter almost everywhere on my 13 Pro.
And it's the most apparent on 3rd party apps that uses Apples API's.
Also have the notification bug, among other things.
Pretty frustrasting that these issues has remained for over a year now!

Hi Aaron, should I upgrade my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 17 right now? Or wait for the iOS 17.1 version to be released for a more stable experience?
Because my 14 Pro has battery issues, scrolling stuttering, lags in games, and other bugs and glitches. Currently on the latest iOS 16.6.1.
You need backup your iPhone and do a factory reset. Then, do a software update. It should be fine after the update. Then you can restore the backup.

If I have issues with my 14 Pro? I tried with iTunes before with the previous iOS 16.3 and the iOS 16.3.1 versions which is a cleaner setup, but it still didn’t help it.
And should I update now or wait a bit like waiting a week at least?
@@arcreactorz Should I both 1- reset and restore and 2- should I update from iCloud - via over the air? Or via iTunes?
I’ve tried iTunes for iOS 16.3 and iOS 16.3.1 versions but it didn’t help fixing those issues that I mentioned, including overheating and scrolling stuttering with just regular apps like X or Spotify.

I will tell you my honest experience but everyone’s is different-I have a 13 pro and download iOS 17-Now I have spent all day on it checking all the new features and customising it and the battery has fallen-I only got around 3 hours-However the fact is that it’s only the first day and only it took battery while updating-If you are worried you can wait for iOS 17.1 with the journal app and more but the truth is iOS 17 is not actually that bad and the features are really useful and fun !-Also this is my first day so it might be better tomorrow and not to mention that everyone’s experiences are different.

The new notification sounds are awesome. We’ve needed them for years. Also they’re not deleting custom ringtones, most of them on the tone store are incorrectly sorted, and apple is no longer allowing you to use “ringtones” as notification tones and vice versa

Great video as always mate. The only issue I have regarding standby mode is that it doesn’t show you that an unread notification is waiting. You’d think a simple dot or ability to swipe down to see notifications would work.

All of my apps like instagram, twitch and TH-cam keep making a different notification sound than what I have picked in my settings.

Is there a way to stop the blur effect on wallpapers? I have a photo that fits perfectly fine and it keeps blurring the entire top half of the photo and I hate it!
Hi Aaron. After updating two iOS 17 I found the new feature called call blocking and identification in the phone settings. When I go there I saw the business ID option to turn on and off. I tried that, but sounds like nothing different. Can you make a video and show us what that feature is used for? I enjoy watching the latest iOS tips and updates that you release throughout your channel from time to time. They are very useful and I found most of the videos work out very well with my phone.

I am absolutely loving iOS 17 after I downloaded it yesterday. One strange thing came up I didn’t expect. Tips is the only widget I have that freezes and won’t load data. Everything else seems to be faster and better!

Question: I love the standby mode using the phone as my alarm clock, but i don't like that the feature seems to fail once the phone is charged. Any way to keep the clock on all the time, I don't want to have to create a motion to see the time or touch the phone in the morning to see if it's time to face my day. Well organized and comprehensive account as usual. As the cook of the household, I am excited about the multiple timers feature. Now I don't have to use the oven and microwave timers in addition to my phone.
