Good video. :-) A couple other points about the Timer. Timer now works great with Siri. Example... "Siri, set a 20 min Potato timer" sets a named timer, which allows easily creating multiple named timers. Also, and even more important if you like using a "Stop Playing" timer as sleep timer... "Siri, set a Sleep Timer for 30 minutes" will set a timer with the alarm sound set to Stop Playing (only works when actively playing any media).
Sorting by last used in storage is going to be super helpful to me for deleting old apps I don’t use anymore! What is really love is if they would group them in a folder and give you the option to delete all of them in the folder at once or something that would make deleting a bunch at once easier!
And you know why they don’t, right? Your idea sounds like an older person thought of it. Too sensible. See my other comment: Apple wants you to believe they ‘embrace diversity’ - like in their advertising - when they actually don’t. They see it as government telling them what to do. Ask Google why diverse hiring is good for a company. Obviously Apple doesn’t believe this. If you feel an Apple disconnect - have a creeping feeling their products are starting to not ‘fit’ you - it’s probably because of this.
For someone who films videos-being able to lock white balance(without focus) while recording videos is fantastic. Settings/Camera/Record Video-at the bottom of the screen.
You mentioned hating long app drags when discussing shake to undo. It’s also possible to drag an app from a spotlight search result. Way better than a multi page drag.

All the new features updates but they also removed some of the previous useful features. iOS17 no longer able to select ringtones as notification tones, whereby they have restricted to only notification tones to be selected as notification. The new notification tones are too soft! There are so many apps use the Rebound as default notification tones which users unable to change at all (not by changing text tones at the Settings). It makes me missed so many urgent notifications and I honestly felt this is actually bad for elderly people like me. Hopefully Apple fix this issue as soon as possible.
yes, this is pissing me off! i lost all my custom sms tones! of course i sideloaded them via itunes so i never paid shit to apple! they better fix this lol those stock new ios17 tones are too quiet/lacklustre! i need some funky louder ones

I have a 15 Pro Max running iOS 17.0.2 and mine doesn't have that feature to report calls as junk when I swipe for some reason 🤔 It just gives me the delete option.
Another feature with iPhone's Passcode is that when you want to change it, you can enable the option of using the old one for resetting your new one IN CASE YOU FORGET IT. Personally, I would turn this feature off.

Features are great, but the operational changes are brutal for people who are not technologically flexible. After updating the IPhone to IOS 17 I could see the phone app is consuming the internal storage too high. When I view the contact which has the contact poster and if i view 10 to 11 contacts and then see the storage it increases by 90 to 100 mb.. So I am not making any new call not adding any new contact poster not creating any new contact just view the contact details who has the contact poster are view any other contacts then the storage increases for phone app.. Each time I use phone app the storage increases and on the same issue I have spoken with apple support team and they have suggested me to do the reset of the Iphone and I did that, after resetting my device the issue was coming back again, so apple support person said this could be a bug and this might take longer time to get be resolved and they will be in touch with me. But on my day to day use I will use my phone app extensively and I am afraid this will consume my complete IPhone storage after 2 to 3 weeks. Is the there any one who is facing this issue and any resolution steps if some can share will be helpful.
I''m really enjoying ios 17, but I'm experiencing a few bugs (all of which I've reported). In the clock app when using the timer, when it ends you only have one choice for a sound. You can't choose from any of the other defaults or ones you've bought. Also still with the timer, the pause and cancel commands for siri don't work. Finally, when you get a notification, the sound is extremely quiet and there's no way to change it.

So I had bought some from the iTunes that worked good as text tones, but now with my new iPhone I can’t set those ring tones I bought from iTunes as text tone or any type of notification, and can only set them as ring tone. It’s very frustrating, has anyone else noticed this?

Zoom in until the blur goes away. 17.1 will add an option to reset the photo to the default position without the blur.
Brandon shake to undo that does not work for me. It’s not working for me where I can move the apps around it’s not working.

I go into cellular settings and turn off access to apps that I don’t need to run when not on WiFi. That makes a huge difference to me

These have been driving me insane!! I use timers and alarms all the time and it is really aggravating.
