Lexus GS430 Front Brake Caliper Refurbishment

- The front calipers on my GS430 were a bit sticky and had a cross-threaded mounting bolt, so were overdue some TLC...
So I bought a used set of calipers, refurbished them and then installed them instead. Much quicker and the car didn't have to be laid up.

Seeing as that was a spare set I’d bought to do so the car wasn’t off the road I will be doing the originals at some point…
great job - this is high level stuff you are doing especially the engine work - have you tackled the radiator to prevent the internal oil coller from failing and fluids mixing?
Thanks - I'm getting quite intimately familiar with the 3UZ now - it's currently apart again, but this time not because I broke anything and (hopefully) for the last time too.
(until I supercharge it, which I would never do...)
Ref Cooler - I had a good look at it when I changed the coolant and it seems fine - for now there's bigger fish to catch, kill, gut, cook and eat...
I have 17” I’m going to put some 18” in a few months so those caliper should be good I will change the rotors though

Could you tell me where you got the logo or decals for the calipers
They were bought from eBay - loads of options in there.

@@DJJAW11 the LS430 calipers are the same as the GS430, though - I do know that 😃
@@MikeMacful Oh really Mike,just not radical mount instead ,I guess 😲. (Are they 16" Wheels?).
@@DJJAW11 The Gen 3 GS only had 17” or 18” wheels, not sure about the LS.
What kind of caliper was that and can it fit a lexus gs300 2006 ?
It was a standard GS430 caliper - don’t see why it couldn’t fit a GS300, but you’d need to get discs and pads too and it’s worth checking it wouldn’t foul the Alloys if you’ve got 17” wheels, as the 430s all came with 18”s. Should be ok, though, I’d have thought.
I’m in Jamaica and I need one of those calipers for my Lexus GS300 2006 where can I get a set ?
EBay is probably your best option unless you buy new from a Main Dealer.
I have a problem sometimes my brake creeps I have no fluid leek I’m thinking I have a brake booster problem
If the pedal sinks after you initially apply the brakes that’s usually a booster issue.
I’m going to take down my booster
