Maybe that could be a good idea, the Wanzers are the mass produce standard issue war machines while the Armored Core units are a expensive and elite unit that can be maintained and operated by elite and augmented pilots from PMC forces and special operation units from any factions here especially the Sword of Damocles.

They would have had good multiplayer, but they decided that tiny mechs should carry more than the big machines, what makes it worse about it is that there was never an update to fix that, (Failed by laziness)

We got lucky with the XCOM remake. Jake Solomon was a big fan of the original and did his best to capture that feel. Some hardcore fans did in fact not like the nu-XCOM. But that's what xenonauts was for.
I was expecting the 22nd century to be more "futuristic" but what I see is a 22nd Century that is seemingly stuck in the end of 20th Century-early 21st Century save for the wanzers, laser cannons and space elevator. And LOL at the Humvees.

Caseko CSK The world isn't constantly torn in war though. And it's not that the security was lax. The attack was too sudden and too precise. The security was mobilizing as quickly as possible, and even put up a decent fight for a while, but they were simply outmatched.

The facility is extremely important and the destruction could not only destroy surrounding areas, but also cripple economy and military power of entire country... For that kind of facility, it's not strange to put entire military complex there and security more than those guarding an aircraft carrier (or even more). So just several dozens of wanzers and attack choppers IS lax. And also stupid decisions by incompetent commanders (sending wanzers out when there are clearly hostiles wanzers around and not alerting entire base at once). It's not about the surprised attack or how many enemies...

Amazing gameplay and nice graphics, HORRRRRRRRIBLE everything else. Basically no story, flat cahracters, how can you do front mission like this? A setting where the story and the characters were all amazing and deeply written. The gameplay for evolved is extreemly fun, it's just a shame that's ALL that was good about it.
The art seemed alright, but I wasn't interested in playing a real-time front mission game. Front mission games were great because they fused my love of giant robots with a really well done turn based strategic game. It was also a stones' throw from having a BattleTech title that did things turn based. Front Mission evolved? At first glance, it just felt like it was trying to fill Armored Core's shoes. I tried AC and wasn't a fan. It's too bad we're unlikely to ever see another good turn based FM game after FM5.
Remember how 8 years ago we thought that Evolved is the worst thing that can happen to the series? How young and naive we were. Also at 2:14 people are grinning like mad. They're true wanzer freaks.

It did. They got surprised attacked. Most of their forces went to the city when it was attacked. As for the wanzers and for the rest of their force, they wasn't ready for the attack at their base. Basic it happened so fast that they didn't have time get ready.
@@GhostEchoX17 usually people wouldn't put such facility inside a big city... And when there are unknown hostiles wanzers rampaging so close, you won't commit so many attacking forces while neglecting your own defense... At the very least you will ALERT and ready your entire base.

Funny how ingame you kill those O.C.U mechs in a few shots even though In the intro they blow up the entire city and effortlessly wrecks every single U.C.S wanzer and blow up an entire orbital elevator with big ass lasers and not to mention the orbital elevator was covered in lasers and in the actual game there is no lasers whatsoever and there is no missile launchers that can blow up 10 skyscrapers at once goes to show how bullshit this game is.
Those were particle based laser systems, not a ‘True Laser’ as they had a travel time and weren’t instant. Also power generation on a wanzer is why you don’t see wanzer scale energy weapons, the giant thing in this that damaged the orbital elevator was a railgun I believe.
