Hellish Quart - 38 Kill Survival Streak with Marta

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 28 ส.ค. 2023
- This time I tried survival mode for the first time in 3 months!
I made a video because I was able to break my own record after the first try after a long time👍
I think that no matter how many times I try Survival Mode in Marta in the future, I will not be able to break my record any more😓
Thank you for watching♪
I will continue to make videos of various genres of games on this channel, so please watch again if you like😄

Just passing by to remember that Miyamoto Musashi survived more than 60 real duels against the strongest swordmans of this age and live to tell about it.
Strongest swordsmen in Japan not Europe, China, Mongolia, Middle East JAPAN!!!
_Pretty_ [citation needed] given the amount of outright legend around the guy and the usual embellishments over the centuries. The timeline on Wikipedia lists some 13 and that's _incuding_ the ones where the actual historical existence of the opponent is a matter of some contention like Sasaki Kojirō and Shishido...
Also for the record not all fought with swords, nor were all the duels mortal - the _musha shugyō_ would not have been a terribly viable tradition in general had that been the rule.
He was crafty though. He used to intentionally turn up late so his opponents would be frustrated and tired.
@@2gunzup07 Of course, at the time no swordsman travels the world in a Boeing to prove itself like an Street Fighter franchise. Even the Europeans, Chinese, Mongolian and the middle easterns don´t do that either.
@@mindoftheswarm7 My boss uses the same tactics with me.
I love the realism of one stab wins, instead of health meters.
This and the fact you can finish a fight with a good hit in the hand that holds the sword...
Not exactly realistic. Most people can survive multiple stabs and live to tell the tale.
@@therambler3713in real life once you were stabbed and injured you would be stabbed again
Did you use a controller for this game?
@flygirlsonly in an unorganized fight, yeah, you would get stabbed into oblivion. However, duels had strict codes of conduct, similar to modern Olympic style competitions. Most duels weren't to the death, although many combatants died, even "winners." That's another thing I liked. Even if you win, you're in danger of opponents that are willing to go for double kills.
All I want to say is, her snaps make this so much more enjoyable.
Bro, worth it.
Least enjoyable part for me
It's like she's saying, "I'm done with this chump. Bring in another, Jeeves." LOL!
Snap and head roll!!!lol hilarious!!
Snap and then hair flip
idk why i got recommended this, i've never heard of this game before but this was fun to watch
Maya Habee Thanks for the video😄
Sometimes you come across videos on TH-cam that you don't know why they were recommended to you😓
Still, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
Me neither
Same 😂
I haven’t but I know why it was…
It got recommended because TH-cam knew you’d like it
I was going to say this feels very The Witcher 3 esque, turns out the guy leading the dev team was the senior animator on The Witcher 3
Is not the soundtrack the same as in The Witcher 3?
The scimitar slashes remind me of Hearts of Stone a lot! Nice catch
@@hkruso not the same composers as TW3 but definitely inspired by it
@@athmaidits just from slavic folklore and a lot of Polish regional music. It dosent sound like Witcher. Its simply Polish sounding
Oh wow that actually explains a lot. I remember all the medival combat nerd youtubers were talking about how everyone but Geralt fights super realistically.
It took another Marta to finally break the streak. Love the snap. Her stance alone is intimidating enough to force a mistake in engagement.
You don't practice anything close to hema or weapons combat, stop trying to act tough online
Really shows the truth behind sword duels. Not a long drawn out back and forth but actually a very quick, reflexive and coordinated kill.
Oh they _could_ be quite drawn out if both sides knew what they were doing and played it safe. But if fought without armour they tended to end very quickly once someone scored a telling blow.
I stayed for the *Fingersnaps*
I stayed for the musketeer chick losing an eye every time!
6:08 the best one, she briefly looks to the camera.
I like how Marta's stance and moves are just straight forward yet fluid, she literally looks like a professional
She fights with (and represents) Destreza - the Spanish form of Rapier fencing. It's focused on maintaining an upright, hard to approach posture and making as little swings/lunges as possible, with the idea being that the opponent will basically have to walk into your sword just to get you. When done correctly it's one of the most satisfyingly "effortless" styles out there.
@@iannordin5250 El imperio español y su forma de lucha no han sido aprovechados por el cine y los videojuegos, hay una rica historia de guerra que nada tiene que envidiar a los grandes imperios de la historia.
Me he sentido feliz al ver éste videojuego
Literally? Not figuratively but literally?

The animation in this game is crazy. All the procedural animation when the swords are clashing really makes it look like I’m watching two people fight. This is probably one of the most unique fighting games I’ve ever seen. Also, Marta’s snap is so fierce I love it.
In Japanese swordsmanship, kendo, they have this concept called as direct line alignment, basically means the shortest and fastest to strike is a straight line (direct straight hit).
This character truly demonstrates the concept of direct line alignment and distance control, amazing.
Well, rapier styles in general tended to keep the weapon towards the enemy to make full use of its length and control the engagement distance. The particular variety she uses is the Spanish _La Verdadera Destreza,_ "the true skill/art" so named because its creator wanted to draw a distinction to what he called the "common" or "vulgar" styles being taught at the time, which REALLY leaned hard into that aspect. Also had the interesting quirk that its creator drew heavily on Classical geometry and Humanist learning for philosophy and inspiration and tried to apply a fair bit of mathematics to optimise the stances and movements.
Which was bluntly put a bit of a pretentious affectation only too typical of the era with its raging hard-in for Antiquity but eh, it worked well enough. 🤷
Rapier fencing is alllllll about controlling that direct line
16:06 the AI said: *Ok now its personal.*
really🥶🥶🥶
8:00 That sequence was beautiful
he took multiple stabs that fight
Marta has killer sidestep into thrust attack moves. She clears a lot of distance very fast with her sidesteps, so it's easy to get in the enemy's blindspot and stab them in the armpit/back or depending on the style, an unguarded front, stabbing the chest/belly.
Love that stiff-arm guard. Intimidating.
Fitting, or poetic, that you lost against your doppelganger. Not in a negative way, of course. Awesome run you had.
Just discovered this game. Super fun to watch.
is an Spanish guard, also called as "La verdadera destreza"

Hey, thanks for adding that. I love learning new things, especially foreign terms relating to sword fighting. 👍🤙

The fight at 2:12 looked really good the way the swords interacted.
The legendary fight against the Moor.....It's classical !
The algorithm knew I like Bushido Blade, and this just so happens to turn up in my feed.
I am wanting to know more about this game.
I know enough.
Bushido blade was an amazing game!
Bushido blade 1&2
This game is very similar to Bushido Blade, relying on the physics of the player model and the blade. Basically a spiritual successor of Bushido Blade with a European setting.
I found a Rock Paper Shotgun article of this game where they say the developer outright states they were inspired to make this game by Bushido Blade.
We are happy that so many people have viewed our videos!
I am currently too busy with work to make new videos, but I will update my videos when things settle down, so I hope you will support this channel by subscribin👍
ok. from south korea ❤
Why do you have a stupid usa flag? Lol@@lIlIlllIlllIlIlI
Fight 7 was amazing! Up until then marta had coasted on the reach advantage, but that dude did well to get on the inside using his curved blade. Very close for sure
Gotta love the snap. Started playing this game a couple of days ago and she's my favorite character because of that sass.
Every couple months the algorithm sends me back to this game and I love it.
IN ORDER TO DEFEAT MARTA or ONE MUST BECOME MARTA LMFAOOOO
This game is incredibly stylish and atmospheric
Thank you Magical Chemistry for your comment!
By the way, this game is currently on sale and can be purchased at a discount♪
@@DarNori_Gaming this isn't a vr game?
La verdadera destreza
5:32 She legit killed her opponent as well as took her sword as a trophy. Lmao
2:35 My girl gets her blade past his guard and is a centimeter from his chest, but backs off and goes for a hand strike win. Marta! Stop being such a show off!
**Snaps**
The snaps are like: _another one, just like that!_
That was excellent. Marta has to be the most calm, collected and confident swordsman in the game. Super cool to watch. Subscribed
Thanks for subscribing, T C♪
I just happened to get a good result and I can't play the same way anymore, but I will continue to enjoy Hellish Quart!
TBF _La Verdada Destreza_ made something of a point of dignified posture and bearing. Also had some weird quirks like trying to optimise movements on the basis of Classical geometry and suchlike IIRC but that's the Renaissance and its out of control sexual fetish for Antiquity for ya.
Thanks for that. I'm really surprised they thought they had "A true way" to fence. I didn't think anyone but the Japanese were developing their sword arts that way. And that they used geometry in their movements? Wow. That's why fencing is so badass. Add science, and physics it gets you closer to the truth. You can do it that way, or practice in peasants, Like the Japanese.
@@TC-xh5wp That kind of bragadaccio was actually routine. Pretty much _every_ olden-time fighting treatise I've parsed, the author boldly proclaimed HIS particular take on combat with this-or-that weapon was nothing short of the foundation of all fighting skills or something similar.
It's mostly just the usual warrior chest-beating and more banally _marketing spiel._ Lest we forget these were almost to a man _professional combat instructors_ who made their living teaching their stuff and usually wanted to leave a living tradition behind, as people are wont. They had every possible incentive to oversell their arts in their writings - and this goes for their peers elsewhere too obviously. Many of the claims Miyamoto Musashi makes in his writings need to be taken with due grains of salt for the same reasons for ex.
As an aside the "foundation of all fighting" blather isn't complete BS as such under all the wanton hype. Human biomechanics and basic physics are the universal constants regardless of the weapon, so the same fundamental stances and movements and principles keep reoccurring almost independent of context - if you parse illustrated treatises on say Late Medieval longsword and _kenjutsu_ you're going to see a whole lot of the same foundationals. Lots of overlap between two-handed swords and polearms too for same reasons. (The European civilian pokey-sword tradition had some to my knowledge fairly unique stuff simply because no direct analogues to the rapier and smallsword evolved elsewhere.)
@@broadbandislifeWow, you know your stuff, thank you! It seems to me that if you're teaching, or developing a style that's being used in life or death battles, you should focus your style on how to kill the quickest. Which is interesting, because there were so many styles. Today, for me, fencing is the truth. Kenjutsu looks great in a movie, and can kill, but fencing wastes so little time.
The snaps are everything.
Love the finger snap like , take this chump before he bleeds out on my carpet
Rlly cool to see, im definitely downloading this game now, i remember seeing footage for it a while back and was already very interested
Congratulations, you did really well ! And like other people, I was sat here snapping my fingers each time you killed somebody haha =D
Nice run. Hopefully Kubold will add a couple more rapier style fencers to the game before he's done. Probably won't be with as much sass as Marta though. That finger-snap is on point.
8:53 love this fight. As a new player I'm having trouble with longer ranged enemies. This is a good template to fight other rapier-like enemies.
Wow games really are short if they applied real life logic on it. Seems like a great game! Sadly my weakass pc might not be able to run this. Love your video!
As a beginner fencer, the footwork animations are incredibly accurate!
The combo at 2:57 was sick
first I've heard of this game, but I'm getting some Bushido Blade vibes, and I'm all for it
As someone who's never seen this game, that second kill took me by surprise!
Wow great skills my friend. Great video.
That second kill with the thrust to the eye was brutal 😅
That finger snapping is so epic. What a sassy lady! 😊
Are the opponents all other players, or enemy AI? Ibe heard of this game but never seen it in action, wow what a thrill. So much personal mastery of real tecnique, no crazy powers or abilities, just real movements and strikes im the right spaces at the right moments. Incredible. I may have to try this game. Subbing as thanks! 200k views, you should have earned tens of thousands of subs. YT can be so frustrating lol. GG!
Game is brutal, I mean, this is exactly what can happen in real life, one hit kill
Not really
@@JediMindG In single combat the distinction between "no longer able to fight" and "stone dead" was pretty much in the hands of the victor ya know.
I've never seen this game before! Looks pretty interesting, so thank you poster and TH-cam Algorithm lol
It might be only me but I think that the weight of the swords is not playing a part here, like how easily she blocks and counters heavier swords 😂
I'll be positive and think that she has just enough strength to do so :3
yea pretty unrealistic in that regard
Finally someone noticed.
@@FullRevive7why cause she’s a woman? 🙄
Ever heard deflect or parry? Also you can't block like fighting the force, it's about to use opponent's force into your advantage. And you can't make contact with blade too.
My dumb brain thought when the video started. It was two real people dueling. Then realized, dang graphics in games got so good
It's also MOCAP so that kinda helps.
Who else is waiting for the „noice“ after every snap?
"I used the Maria to destroy the Maria" - Thanos
Oh man, I’ve been wanting a game like this since Bushido Blade! Hope they bring it to console 🤞
I hope to one day see this on the Xbox. Its realism is so fascinating that I watch this and other videos a few times. Love those snaps as well.

Completely forgot about this game. That's snap tho😂

That proud toss of a head.
the fingersnap after each kill is very much earned
As soon I saw mirror match and both of them hitting the tip of the sword multiple times I knew this would be a good one.
The constant finger snapping has me dead :D
