bro this information is top tier, and your thought process is very logical, I find this some of the best information to understand and immediately work into my game. I would say, if you're looking for more youtube views/likes/whatever, I'd say a little more editing on some of the rougher parts, like where you get caught up in practice settings, that would go a long way. But I wouldn't want to over-edit you -- again, the thought process being clearly on display is SUPER HELPFUL and a big part of why I love this video and why I'm writing this comment. Thanks my bud! Great video, big thumbs up!

@@bradwirihana5100 I would have to see your gameplay to know what specifically you need to work on but as a rule of thumb you can never go wrong practicing your fundamentals. Like punishment, movement, matchup knowledge etc. :)
Hey noticed that on some of your example KIN 2 combos you start with 2 afterwards instead of flash(I've seen this mostly on DF2 sometimes the knee too). I've noticed other Yoshi players (eyemusician) will also do this but I fail to understand why because it does less damage, does it have to do with the combo going slightly in a different direction other than straight? Sorry for replying on such an old video.
When you play different characters, do you change your keybinds? Maybe its cause im old or something but man my fingers start to hurt when i play yoshi compared to law lol.
So I wanted to try the combo you did at 7:22 and I can not get the heat attack to hit at all is there something special you did is there a micro dash that I'm not seeing before you press the heat button?
@@The_Geni there is no microdash, but a small sidestep right after the bound and before the b1 will help a lot with consistency on this one. You don’t always have to, and I didn’t in this video, but you can.
So I've been testing this combo on a lot of people and it just doesn't work against some charters I normally do my testing on kazuya and I cant get it to land on him but i can land it on bryan no problem
@@drummaniac30 wah thanks, I learn a lot! This seems pretty hard to do as a beginner, same goes to neutral movement the one with star. Its a bit hard for me to learn too because too many shortform and each character have their name for each movement. I think I started the wrong way by playing Yoshi first and trying to main it. But so far I’m doing great and I beat my friend with very high rank many times haha, he said I’m not predictable 😂 Yoshi is unpredictable, and extra unpredictable because I don’t play like normal people. Like when I play valorant against low rank, I cannot predict their movement because they do things they aren’t suppose to do haha. I think is kinda same like that

Why do people still keep saying it is ws QCB1 for the alternate sweep input? It is just ws b1, the other inputs do however help you stay crouched longer by passing time pressing more buttons, which can help with consistency. I also find it odd saying "optimal" combo when they certainly aren't, but are nice simple combos to learn. Great video regardless, my points are just nitpicking and not a big deal.
@@OtakuOblivion alternative input for samurai cutter is while crouching QCB1 in the move list. It is not WS b1. Try doing df3 into ws b1. It won’t work. You’ll just get ws1, because the command is qcb1 not b1. Just out of curiosity, what combo do you consider an optimal staple from samurai cutter with no heat?
@@Lambkin-_- You can do ws b1 after df3. It is actually the way I do the majority of my sweeps if I do not need to re-align for something such as a tech trap. It just requires timing, as the main mistake you made is thinking that you are buffering the ws QCB 1, which is not true at all. You are just crouching for long enough that the ws b1 comes out at the right time to not give something else. It is easy enough to test in practice mode doing a clean crouch, then b1 with no other inputs, and then progress to doing it from the other setups such as from df3. The comment of the "optimal" was made in reference to 8:45 which is referring to the NSS FC df3 leg sweep where you showcase a 50 and 53 damage combos. There are many alternative combos of course and can always depend on the space you need to travel, or if you want to drop for a setup. If we're sticking with just wall carry potential then a few options are; (54) NSS FC df3, NSS 1+4, d22b, 1, NSS f3+4, d22 (55) NSS FC df3, NSS f3+4, NSS 1+4, b21~1+2, KIN b21 (58) NSS FC df3, NSS f3+4, NSS 1+4, 31, DGF f1+2 There is nothing wrong with doing less damaging combos of course, and some of these may be harder for beginners due to dashes required. Really what is "optimal" could just mean what is most comfortable to you mid match.
