I don't take rank seriously it's waist of time and can make you go crazy over a title that doesn't mean anything offline. Everything people do online will not work outside of tournaments get beat badly.

I always found it how there were so many players with high ranks not matching their skill set, it wasn't like this in Tekken 7 on rank until the very end of the game when everybody started getting tekken gods. Each rank in Tekken 7 was a different experience unlike Tekken 8. I've always been team rematch to a certain extent but you gave one of the best reason of not to rematch, if it not fun why bother.

Look, you talk against other characters, but Law is worse. Law is one of the noobish character of the entire roster, I found many Law that wins attacking randomly, abusing that frame plus. So or we accept the broken characters or we going to play quick match with an account with no ranked matches, so you play always play with low ranking and you can win with easy victory. I am Lili Kishin and for fun I go with Hwoarang that says ganryu rank, and I have so much fun (even if Hwoarang is not very easy as many think). So, you do well to talk about your experience, but I cannot think that a Law player could say this because on rank I got maaaany Law that making hate the game.

Thank you for bringing up the ranks issue because it's objective and proveable but virtually no one's been talking about it, especially TMM is effectively shoving it under the rug, this is a problem because it creates a divide between new and old players, new Tekken 8 players will feel insulted and as if their rank is under attack but the intent isn't to demean people, it's a genuine physical objectifiable change from one game to the next, and this also causes older players to lash out, not to mention because they will effectively be sometimes gaslit, which is inevitably going to cause an emotional response if you are attached to your ranked experience of older t7 games, so it means both old and newer players are fighting their emotions when this subject is brought up. I don't blame TMM for anything but it would be really helpful if he posted that about the difference in amount of ranks and points. Also, you can't even demote from yellow ranks, because the points you do lose are so much less than when you win. I went into yellow ranks myself and tested it, unfortunately I can't remember it exactly, but it was something like you could lose 5 times but you only need to win 3 times and you'll promote, this imbalance is in orange ranks too, which is exactly why red rank, garyu, had the highest amount of players when in t7 green rank had the highest. Garyu is objectively quantifiably the new green rank or maybe even less now players have moved even further to purple and fujin, and it's not new players fault, but you can't exactly pretend it's not important either if you care about Tekken.

so morale is being toxic, is you are mad young angry man, but when growing you start to understand, some people just not learning. about fun, or not fun, for me personally Asia/Europe(maybe timezones)hard to find matches, i just wanna play F game, of course i hate King players, but i'am wanna rematch just for experience atleast, but people just cancel, they think i am garbage, it's like other side coin, not so fair u know. (Maybe it's just bad matchmaking system dunno)

We need to talk about how I spent $6 on the tekken pass but cant complete it because you can only level up online (I cant afford $10 a month for ps plus). Major scam and now I wont get any tekken pass items and also now all of my tekken coins are gone.

People say T8 is balanced but every match I play feels like I’m being trolled😭

Some said that T8 is a very balanced game But i think that goes only for pro scene and even there some characters are considered "unviable" Like you can't tell me that Law and Yun works for the win in the same way as Steve or Paul

I took a two month break from T8 after hitting Tekken King and it was great. Came back and only play QM. Regarding infinite rematches? Qm absolutely! Ranked? Absolutely not that is a awful awful idea.

Arc system works needs a better matchmaking system as well

Ranked playlists are a joke in every game at this point, it was a simpler, less sweaty and toxic time before it became the norm (Xbox Live MW2 excluded but that was part of the charm back then). I still play ranked stuff because it's nice to have a goal but being 30 now, I'm too old to give a shit about someone else's ego.

It's amazing to see neutral go from minimal, to making plays/reads near the end of the set. My Asuka is also emperor, but I'm too reckless in neutral, so I die before I can make a correct read.

Yoshi and Clive are the most carried in my opinion. Never have I seen a character so flooded in + frames until I saw T8 Yoshi.

Dude I dropped Law(Because of ez dss) in tk 8 picked up lee and since sometime my pc broke down and went back to tk 7 and played lee there on my old laptop but damn I tried law once again and finally able to do dss stuff (guess it was keyboard problem from that laptop all along that I always dropped the dss cancel f4) and he is hella fun.

i thank god is not like tekken 7, i hated that system

Theres no perfect rank system. Ranked is still the best way to play against players around the same skill as you.

I feel you. I stopped rank at Tekken Emperor for now just due to the fact that a png of my rank doesnt define my skill. I beat and lost to some the best players known and unknown and regardless if my rank was Tekken Emperor or Vanquisher, I still retain my same skill.

Hey, I understand you perfectly and I have similar feelings about Tekken 8. In January, a refreshed version of Virtua Fighter 5 is coming out and I encourage you to play this game (while waiting for Virtua Fighter 6).

I’m a longtime law main and I also still do manual dss because it literally took me SOOOO long to get good at it in previous tekkens it’s just ingrained in me now. When I found out about them making dss easy for people in tekken 8 I was kinda pissed ngl. It felt like a slap in the face since I dedicated all that time to getting the execution down for them to just make 90% easier to do 😭😭

Although it's your opinion and you're entitled to it and I'm not questioning it, but earlier in the games cycle I could've sworn you had said it was a good change that they changed the input for Law as it brings more accessibility to the character and the boarder of entry shouldn't be the entire character's playstyle. Maybe I'm misremembering and it was a totally different person lol
