Hi Brian they are a rolled natural latex so should biodegrade

I usually leave as they tend to do better outside. Thankfully he’s all recovered now

Your fields are growing so well and so green, while ours are still brown and half frozen. We will be on hay for a while yet.

Hi will, really loving the lambing videos I’ve watched them all ! 😊curious to know if you prep the fields before you turn ewes/ lambs out on them, do you fertilise and chain Harrow ect????
They have had a bit of fert this year to get that grass growth going

Every other day or whatever works for your schedule is always appreciated. Question, do the ewes in head yolks stay there all the time or do they go in and out so they can lay down?
Yes unfortunately or else it doesn’t work.

Yu need an anti inflammatory for pneumonia, it is the swelling of the lung tissue that kills. Pain relief a waste of time. I would bring a ewe with a sick lamb back into the shed for close monitoring and shelter until e lamb recovers. A bulking up pen where the lambs can fill their skins before turn out is a good plan.
Hi Wendy Metacam is an anti inflammatory. I disagree bringing them in as they’re much better off in a clean environment outside.
In terms of a biking up pen. I would do this if the weathers bad but it’s been that good this year that there is no reason to. At the end of the day sheep are bred to live outdoors. So if conditions suit that’s where they are best to be

When you put the ring on and you accidentally put to far up how do you take off again
Yep pull it down if it’s too high
How do you keep track of numbers on the ewes where you left off
Just keep a note in my head where we are upto e.g now I know I’m upto 178
