Early this month (February), I had a old Ewe and her daughter lamb at the same time, literally. I put them in a sheltered pen, together. Both ewes bonded to the lambs. So they are co-parenting! I imagine that the old ewe has been teaching her. "No, not like that." "That dog is ok, but the coyotes are very, very, not OK."
Please film them when you let the mamas out with there lamb a little longer, its so funny when they try to sort out each other. Is this my lamb nu - headbutt….is this my lamb……yes sniffing as drinking milk 😂🎉

Banding the lambs tales don't hurt them. It's like the equivalent of wrapping a rubber band around your finger. It goes numb and then the extra bit of tail eventually just dies and falls off.
Don't worry about videos, we really enjoy them but you need to look after yourself. Hope you got some rest.

In the future consider saving all the filming through the intense lambing and then when finished post 1 a day as if they were fresh. We don't know the difference! And we can be patient to see the good stuff!

It is so great to see the lambing. You show how much you care for your animals. Watching all the lambs and ewes in the fields is fun. Take some time to rest up. We'll watch what you can show us. Hope all goes forward well for you and the crew. ❤️🐑🐏❤️

Love all the videos but self care is extremely important too! If you go down, they all suffer. Finding that balance I am sure is very hard but you do an amazing job!!

I’ve seen that treatment for the flipped eye lid before but what do you inject in there? Thanks for taking the time to make videos but take the time you need for the other priorities. It always amazes me when shepherds are in their busiest time and are also trying to document and edit. It’s appreciated but easy to see it’s sometimes too much.
So I inject it with antibiotics either pen strep or trymox 😊

Just another tip, hold the lamb between your knees to immobilise it, you don’t want to risk stabbing the eye while injecting. Paying attention to detail far more important than vlogging.

You have breed a great flock of sheep but I thought the were supposed to be able to lamb outside like some of cammys
Hi John they can lamb outside but as we lamb in February we choose to go the indoor route
