I purchased this 2019 Civic EX charcoal grey yesterday and absolutely Love it and and the fuel economy! I traded in a 2015 Nissan Titan that was a terrible gas guzzler and they all have transmission slippage from coolant/trans fluid mix because I noticed mine started problems after accident and body shop did piss poor job putting it back together nothing but problems after incident. I drove civic as rental and fell in Love and went str8 to local Honda dealer to get mine!#Honda#Civic❤️
I purchased a 2019 ex sedan 2 weeks ago and gas mileage has not been good. The best so far has been 28. Just normal driving. The mornings have been cold so I have been warming it up and running defroster. Maybe that is affecting the mileage.
Hi, I have a 2018 Civic Ex. Very wonderful performance. But it keeps giving me the 'Emission System Problem' on my dashboard. I've had that cleared for me many times with the diagnosis machine and then it'll come right back after a few days. When the error messages is present, I'm unable to remote start the car. How do I permanently fix that ?
Great question, @sukhchainkahlon. Each domestic 2019 Civic EX is equipped with the same 1.5L Turbo engine. These engines use continuous VTC over the situational VTEC, which helps helps by increasing turbo response at lower rpms and also lowering combustion chamber temperatures.
The smaller displacement 2.0L four-cylinder used in the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Nissan Altima have identically low smog ratings compared to their larger displacement variants (This is due to gearing/RPMs). Larger engines, like Honda’s old 3.2L V6 found in the Accord, have improved smog ratings, but sacrifice fuel savings. This is the trade-off auto manufacturers face!
I don't know what it is, but the people who tend to buy this car are terrible drivers and care more about loud sound and not being safe and courteous to other drivers. And of course their uncles told them to buy it because it's a 'reliable car'...but they all are all nowadays.
It might be because the Civic has the reputation of being a "sporty" car at an affordable price. The drivers will therefore be younger, inexperienced, and will be more likely to want to drive in a 'sporty' style. With that said, the latest Civic is very nice.
Best review I’ve seen thus far, keep it up man!
I really appreciate your feedback @DaniZz

Did you speak to Dr. Viltrago?
chocolatewheelchair I sure did! Great guy.
Anyone know if Honda addressed the issue of oil dilution with the turbo engine Civic?
Yes they have

Would like to see how to set screen to display time without going thru menus each time the car starts.
@LeeDixon Honda is working to resolve those issues! Thanks for the feedback

Is the car covered by a lot of dust....or it is rusted? XDD nice review anyway
Dude you could have washed it for the video LOL, good video though.
Thank you for the feedback! I agree with you lol
Why civic ex 2019 dnt have turbo instead it comes with I-vtec ,
Only the LX and Sport come with the base 2.0 and the Ex and above have the 1.5T
Simmer Pete ok then what is I-vtec engine ??
I think in Canada only touring and si have turbo

HondaPro Alex ok thanks for clearing my doubts
Why is the smog rating so low? 3 out of 10???
