- This is a quick rundown of the features and functions in the 2019 Honda Civic EX. If you have purchased one, or you're considering purchasing one this is nice refresher over what the vehicle has to offer.

You don't worry about the oil dilution problem with the turbo engine?
@@timothylee2772 it's a hit & miss issue I guess, I'm taking my chances because it is a Japanese car.
I heard it only happens in vary rare occassions, particularly in very cold weather temperature or climate. The 2019 Civic also comes with a 6 year warranty is it not?
@@timothylee2772 3 years warranty, and the shitty part is I live in Canada where it's cold almost every month of the year

I got the EX in Charcoal Grey yesterday and absolutely love it! I had a 92’ Acura Integra as a young man and it was the best car I’d ever owned( usually truck guy) and hope this new badass Civic is just a trustworthy!#Honda✨

You can download the Hondalink app and put in your VIN to connect to your vehicle. The rest is done from the app...

When u park your car at night and u forgot to turn off the lights, will it turn off by itself?
The car does offer auto on off lights.

I have a 2009 Honda Civic and it would eat up my tires unevenly, do this new model have that problem? And how’s the road noise in the car while driving??
It runs with four disc brakes. Typically your fronts will go earlier. Based off braking. But if it is has a good alignment and you rotate the tires you should be good.

it is. The LX (base) is the only model that is not.

The 2019-21 Sport Sedan also comes with the 2.0 K20c2 naturally aspirated port injected motor, not just the LX trim. You can also find one with a manual transmission with that motor, but only the 2019-20 Sport trim models, 2021 was CVT only :(
Does this car have Wifi hotspot?
It does not.
How do u do Accessory Mode with this car so I can access infotainment system without having to start the engine?
press the start button without putting you foot on the brake. (key must be in the car).

They must remove the lane watch and go with the blind spot monitoring like they did on the Pilot and make the infotainment like the Pilot 2019. Band make the remote start standard on all trims..

Honda would have knocked it outta the park in my opinion if instead of going with their CVT they should have stuck with their 6 speed automatic gear box....🙄
David James Problems going on with cvt?
@@johnk815 it's not really a "problem" as it's annoying...and not the sound cause it simulates a gear box about as well as expected but when you're driving in town or in slower traffic and all of a sudden you need to accelerate or more power it's like the transmission is asleep and needs the engine to wake it up before you get any power where as at least in my experience a gear box will down shift a lot quicker... you really can tell when you're entering a hwy at a slower speed because of traffic then you need a sudden boost of power to get up to speed...once it gets going tho it does pull but that annoying lag of power gets old...in my opinion... 🤔

The Civic has all the features I want. DRL, great MPG, digital Speedometer, smart key access , and android auto. You would not believe how hard it is to find that combo in a budget friendly car without going to the highest trim levels.
I just wish they wouldn't put such low profile tires on all the Civics. With the exception of the LX they put 40 series tires on all the trims. Honda, I am commuting to work in my Civic not going to the race track. Save them for the SI or type R as they are not rough payment, pothole. or off pavement friendly.😯
The Mazda 3, I believe would be the closest competitor with the features I prefer. It has the advantage of being a non turbo, yet providing roughly the same power and torque.
Furthermore, I would be hesitant to purchase the 1.5 turbo engine from Honda. Small displacement, turbo charged, and direct ignition is never a good combo as far as reliability is concerned. And Honda has already had oil dilution problems with these engines.
Loren Prius sounds like a good car for you, even a 2007 prius has keyless entry, digital speedometer, unbeatable mpg, but no android auto, but Im sure the newer ones have that :)

I wish I could get this car! Always loved Honda Civcs, especially the EX versions. Had my 04 EX Coupe for years until it got totalled when I got T boned. Case is still open after all this time so I haven't gotten my money yet.

I was looking between the 2019 camry se and the 2019 civic ex, I'm not sure which one is better. Anyone have any nice info about each car that might help?
Arekts exactly the same situation for me, seems like the camry is nice and everything but more expensive and lacks some features, although I like the looks more but the civic is nice in everything overall and more features and might be a little cheaper too lol

I see the difference from previous is that now all of them are turbo instead of 2.0L which is a huge letdown unless u try to get a 2018 which all of them are red at this point. I'm not buying turbo neither a red car. I'm glad they have the camera to the right, moonroof and Honda sensing. Very important but then again the turbo is awful what where the Japanese thinking?

My honda 2019 civic doesn’t have coin tray in the center console box!! It is LX trim. LX doesn’t have coin tray??

How can I change the color of dashboard(Not the info screen )But the odometer in my 2019 Honda civic sport?. I was able to do it before just changing the skin color and both will change at the same time ,screen and dashboard. Now only the screen does it.Thank you

In Canada, Civic EX dont even get ivory interior. technically 2019 civic is nothing new compare to 2018 except the volume knob.
What about Honda Sensing being standard in the vehicle?
Wrong, ex now got leather wrapped steering wheel, and power seat as well as all Civics got the grill changed up

brake hold will brake whenever you stop and phisicaly hold the car in place , so it can't roll at all ?
Yes when you come to a stop it will hold the brake and car in place so you can relax. The it will release when you press on the gas pedal.
what different features are implemented in the newer models of the ext trims? im looking to get a coupe ext, but i still dont understand what the differences are between the 2016-2019 models.
might get a 2017 but what am i missing out on that the 2018 model has?
I'm thinking about getting the 2017 honda civic ex too just went to go look at it yesterday, only difference I noticed was some of the climate control and volume knob available in the 2019 but I'm sure there is a little more but I think 2017 is still a good choice and the differences are so small I'd rather save money

In the info section that icon that looks like a saw blade is your turbo boost gauge not anything to do with traction control. Just a simple correction.

Will need to hold the remote start button for 2-3 seconds. The Touring has a powered passenger seat.
Ex has the most uncomfortable seats no leather, no lumbar support... Is it EX-L? thanks
Personally I find the seats to be comfortable. The EXL will offer leather but not lower lumbar support.

How do u open the gas tank door? Cannot find it anywhere on my car
It is connected to the door locks.Unlock and press on the gas door and it will open.
Can this car stop by itself? I know Toyota Corolla has that capability as part of the safety features.
It does have Honda Sensing. It can sense vehicles in front and bring it to a stop if needed.

I think that’s the EX-L trim level, not just the EX. The EX-L trim is where the leather seats are available.

Look out the windshield...LOL. I think you are asking about sensors for the front. This vehicle does not offer anything like that.

Honda does offer Lane Watch a form of blind spot monitoring. EX or Sport is more of a preference for the buyer. not sure what your needs are.

I hate the fact that the new cars don't have a CD player. I love to go to the library and check out books on CD's to listen to on trips. I guess I will have to take out the console and put in an aftermarket CD/ radio.
You can always download them onto a thumb drive and listen to them via the USB. The plus is then you do not have to change out CD's. I know some books can be on 6-7 cd's.

I found a cd player online which links up to the car's sound and computer system via usb port. You can stick it on the dashboard or console. I think I will go that route. I hope car manufacters will realize there are a lot of people in ther 60's who don't want to change with the newest technology and give us the option of having a CD player in the car...just saying...😉😉

Keyless entry? 🤦🏼♂️ I hate that! Can you get it without that feature?
You can not. It does offer some great adds with it though. You can not lock your keys in the car. You can just walk up and touch the door handle and it unlocks. You can touch the ridges on the door when you get out to lock it. Or you can set the auto lock feature where it will lock when youu are ten feet from the door. Just some things to keep in mind.

dude, i agree you know a lot. But, most of the people who checks for car reviews want to see the car, in the first place, before you go into the boot release and other crap buttons on the door.
Hey gang, there are more than one video describing the Civic ... I have a 2019 Civic EX and find it a very good value. Looks sharp and has plenty of updates to make it functional and fun to drive ... I paid $22, 300 for my EX. i also shopped Toyota Corolla & Mazda 3 ... I owned Mazda and Toyota before ... this time the Civic was a better choice for me. And I am averaging 37 MPG !!!
How are the speakers?
On their own, they're fine but nothing more. When compared to the competition, not good. When Mazda, Toyota, and Subaru all brought upgraded Bose, JBL, and Harman Kardon systems respectively, Honda really fell flat with audio in this generation of Civic.

Wow. I'm currently driving a 2019 Civic LX (only temporarily, it's essentially my "rental" car until I buy my own), and I'm astonished at it's lack of features as compared to the EX. I mean, they seem like totally different cars. The infotainment system in particular is so rudimentary on the LX compared to the EX.
I'm so jealous! And the black-tan interior is sharp!
