I got my first civic. This really helped me
I have a 2016 Civic Coupe EXT. I, too, can open the car windows and sunroof using the remote. I love my car. I drove a Miata for 15 years, bought this in 2016. What a great car. Great options: turbo, rear camera, passenger side camera, heated seats, fog lights, Brake Hold (love this feature while waiting at long lights), Apple Play, A/C. Just the right amount of bells and whistles. (The Miata had no bells or whistles)
I recently bought a 2019 Civic Sport and am trying to get to know my car better because I love Hondas and am very proud to own this car. One day my battery died (my own fault) and, because of this video, I knew how to get my school bag out of the trunk with a dead battery, essentially saving me from failing a major assignment that was locked in the trunk! So, thank you for this video 😁

The right side camera is for the blind spot when changing lanes. It comes in handy all the time when I’m on the highway. There isn’t one on the left because it’s much easier to look over your shoulder on that side to see your blind spot… but it’s much harder to see it on the right.
It's actually meant for city driving more so than highway driving for cyclists and other smaller vehicles on the road when turning right. It's useful on the highway but not to the same extent as to the city. It' a civic after all ;)

To put all the windows up you just do exactly what you do to put the windows down except you press the lock button. works on my 2018 Civic.

@@averyave8768 so to roll the windows down you press the unlock button twice and hold the second time…and to roll them up you press the lock button and hold the lock button the second time

I have a 2018 Honda Civic. There were times I accidentally rolled down all the windows and I couldn't figure out how it happened. Now I know! Thanks for the trunk hack and the video✌.🚗
I had a 2000 Civic ran great, had a 2006 Civic (fighter plane split dashboard style) engine block replaced by Honda due to defect at 99k miles, then traded it in at 192k miles. Civics are great practical cars and Honda puts their best foot forward with them. Thanks for making this video.

Well done and thank you! Just tried the window trick on my 2019 Honda Civic Type R and it worked perfectly! How useful especially walking to my car on a hot day. It is also great not having to get in the car to roll up all the windows. Thought this would work on my 2019 Toyota as well but no, this is definitely a Honda Civic thing. I was already impressed by the Civic platform, and I am even more impressed now. Thanks again!

I was also surprised too about not having a camera on the left side mirror, but apparently they dont want you to look on the screen when you turn left. Ie: looking right when you turn left.
Plus you're much closer to the left side mirror

yes! that's why!!!! it's because your blind spot is the opposite side of you, which is the right side.

I was amused when I discovered that with the wipers on delay they will slow their pace down when your car is stopped.
BMW 740i & 740il had these features implemented in their vehicles in 1999-2001. I’ve owned newer cars and missed that feature. I’m glad my Civic has it

Volkswagen has been doing the whole "rolling the Windows down" for a long time. And surprisingly a lot of VW owners have absolutely no idea it even did that. Except with VW you don't do it from the key fob you have to stick the key in the door and hold it. Still a cool feature tho!!! 😎👍

Also, good info on the dead battery trunk release. I have to check now if my car has this kind of back-up.
Same procedure worked on my 1998 ford tarus SHO. So basically that's been out quite some time.

The window thing also works for the basic model. I bought that one, I think it’s the lx, if I’m not mistaken.

On the UK Civic you can close the windows if you press the lock key on your fob and depress (holding it down) until they close like he did when he opened them. We don’t have the kerb camera though which would have been good to have. Ours are also hatchbacks so we don’t have the boot (trunk) release as you can access the area by lowering the rear seats.

My ‘05 Accord rolls down the windows and back up as well. I believe it does it for all Honda’s ‘03 and up

The unlock button for the windows works on almost all Honda’s. My 2008 Honda Accord LX model has the same feature

Rolling down all the windows with the key works also with the sport trim
European Honda Civic X hatchback here - I do not have that mirror camera, but I can close all windows and close mirrors by holding the lock button on the key - no need to insert the key into the car. Weird differences ;d
my 2012 accord has the same window roll down feature. honda’s been doing it for a while

Does the blind sport monitoring only come on the touring or every trim level ? Also would the blind spot monitoring( the camera on the right mirror) be on thr 2021 Honda Civic Ex?

The camera is for your blind spot... you have your mirrors to look at the curb and can adjust your mirrors accordingly... but the camera has one purpose since it’s just there and can’t be moved

Recently bought 2017 civic ex. It doesn't have the side camera but has a system to detect vehicles in the blind spot by flashing an orange symbol in the mirror and if you have the blinker on it also sounds an alarm.
Also you can unlock the drivers door by pulling the handle if you have the key fob with you... I kept locking the door then trying to ee if it was locked by pulling the handle buti kept opening the door 😂. Took me a few goes to finally figure out
That can be life saving being able to open you’re trunk if you’re battery is dead

the double click of the unlock to lower the windows works in my 2005 Accord, and a lot of other cars too, most people don’t know

Hey in the 2020 Lx Sport GCC version, they don't provide a Side mirror camera. It only comes with 1.5 i.e RS or 2.0 i.e. EXi trim.
DX and LX Sport all are 1.6 SOHC and they do not have this side camera feature.

Like the mirror camera. My 2021 civic sport doesn’t do that when I turn the turn signal off. Is there a button to turn that on/off?
The right side camera is also for when you switch lanes not just for the curb

My 2005 Renault scenic had lots of those features
Reason why they don’t the have the camera on left is because in the left is the driver seat which is easy to look from because your sitting there but in right you need to see its a little bit tricky so they have it on right because only the passenger side is comfortable to look from that side
