A sad ending? What a load of crap. He was 88, had a successful career lots of children and grandchildren and a long marriage. Best Sargeant Major ever

I absolutely love this wonderful great man. He stayed at my parents hotel in Snowdonia 1983 hill walking and had a blast with my mum and dad over drinks and next day he invited me to join him for a cooked breakfast, I was 10 and asked him all about his acting and he was so funny with his great stories. Then before he left i joined him in shopping in our village as people came out to wave at him and get autographs it is one of the best memories of my childhood. I’ve still got his autograph with ‘great time with mum and dad your a lovely boy!’ We need more gems like Windsor in the World! 😊❤️✌️

Windsor Davies had a great life and career. He died aged 88. He married in 1957 to the love of his life and they stayed together until her death in 2018, Windsor passed away four months later. They had retired to the South of France. The narrator needs to stick to American stuff as he can't pronounce English words or has any clue who Windsor Davis was.

If you're going to do a documentary/obituary of a British actor for (presumably) a British audience, please check you pronunciation. Windsor's surname is 'Dave-iss' not Dave-ees', as you say it.
Also, Cheltenham, is not pronounced 'Chelten Ham' , more like 'Chelt num'.
I won't bother with correcting the other howling errors of English pronunciation in this piece. Too many to go through.
    Love and peace.

In the early ’90s I saw a copy of Special Beat, an in-house magazine for special constables. Within this particular issue was an article about Windsor Davies. The front cover was a photograph of him in Special Constabulary uniform, wearing the ribbons of the Special Constabulary Faithful Service Medal, and the Cadet Forces Medal.
I can find nothing on line that acknowledges his service either as a special constable or as an instructor in any of the cadet forces, notwithstanding that a minimum of nine year’s service is required for the special constables’ medal, and twelve years for the Cadet Forces Medal! Anyone know anything about this?

Girls would come later.....much later....even had a couple of Sprites, one for racing. We love England, Scotland, Ireland for the brilliant minds they produced greatly enriching what we enjoyed on TV back then. My now ex-wife usually missed many of my jokes, but laughed because others laughed. Always had a dry sense of humor. Feel misplaced at times...played soccer, raced mx(scrambles), Centurion is my favorite tank, always drool over Avro Vulcan pictures....oh yeah, worst of all, I'm addicted to Airfix....the old kits.....can't resist....help....

Nant y Moel is pronounced "Nantymoyl" 'Windsorrr . . . Davees? 'Chelten . . . Haaam?' 'Stafford . . . Shyerrre?' - And, we do not call them 'Day Leks' either! - I would hate think how he pronounces 'Featherstonehaugh' 'Cholmondeley' and 'Howick' - But he might feel more comfortable with the pronunciation of 'Hawarden' - A small town in North Wales - Home also to 'William Glarrrrd . . . Stone!' (Prime Minister 1809-1898). It is actually pronounced locally as 'Hardon!'
. . . But there again, the Former United States of America has a Total Ban on 'Fishing for Whales on Sundays' in Ohio! - Not many in Lake Eerie - They only surface during Weekdays! Incest is still legal in Rhode Island and New Jersey! - And, there are Lighthouses in Nebraska - A totally 'Landlocked State!'
The American Constitution was so 'Perfect' that it had to be amended 27 Times! . . . And, quite surprisingly 1% of the population is in Prison! - Oh the wonder of Privatisation!
How do they manage without a Health Service? - Quite simple, it's all Privately Insured, and if you have NO Insurance and HAVE TO PAY CASH you will become Bankrupt! - Land of the Fee and Home of the Slaves!
As George Carlin said "You have to be asleep to believe the American Dream!"

Precious friend, choose to walk the road of righeousness with Jesus Christ. In Jesus’s Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), the Lord told His listeners, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it” (7 : 13-14).
On our journey through life, we face many choices about which road to travel. Many pathways seem promising and attractive but only ONE is the pathway of life. Jesus calls us to travel the road of discipleship and obedience to God’s Word-to follow Him instead of the crowd. As we ponder the road ahead, may Yahweh (God) give us wisdom and courage to follow His way-the road of life. It will make all the difference for us and those we love!
Dear one, exit the broad road of destruction and sin THIS VERY MOMENT and enter the road of righteousness, which leads directly to Jesus Christ by first acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of our Savior. Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord of your life. Welcome Yeshua (Jesus Christ) into your life. Receive grace by believing in Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross, His death, burial and resurrection for the sins of all mankind. You will then be justified in salvation and blessed abundantly with love. Your life will be forever changed!
Please take comfort in praying the following prayer with me.....Dear Lord Jesus, as we go through this day, give us eyes to see the narrow road that leads to life and the courage to follow it. Be a source of light in our life and allow that light to shine through us and into the lives of others. This we pray in Your Mighty name, Amen! May God bless you in the Glorious name of Jesus Christ our Lord and our Savior.❤️❤️❤️
