I think most main centres have mobile servicing too. Manawatu has anyway. I bumped into the guy at the supermarket and got him to check on something, to easy.

I’ve done over 100,000 miles and the battery health is still at 92%. During winter, it will drain around 3% each night. The only problems I have had is with the software which has been fixed under warranty. I would definitely consider another one when it comes to replacing my current car.
Totally agree regarding the 3 looking much better than the Y. We have had a 2021 Model 3 long range singe new. Great car.
Realistically though, we will probably change to a Y at some point due to the added space for camping and adventures with our young family.

I would just be careful on price, new you can get for under $58k now with referral and rebate, so dont over pay for a used one. They'll go forever.

33000km in 2 years is light.
I own an mg zs ev since 2021 and so far driven 62000km because it pulls double duty. 80km a day, 200km once a week on top and some on the weekend. I still have a second gas car but i only use it for shorter trips when the MG is in use or long trips that one time i drive over 250km in one go.
Important to note battery degradation occurs whether or not it is used (so, drive)! I wouldn't put much weight on what Musk says on Twitter but an engineering metric for battery life is a dot product between cycles AND time (hours/years/etc) since production. Shelf life to 60% SOH improving, now in 3-5 year range(?) but is still a thing. Heat also significantly degrades cells (being the universal catalyst).

The forums can be quite scary, but like all car owner forums most people post only when they have a problem, so it's not representative of the typical user experience. And most are due to collisions, which may may you not want to leave the house or just leave to wrap he car in cotton wool, but it's not the car's fault.. Car's wide though, so curb rash is common but easily fixed
our 2021 SR M3 HV battery had to be replaced after 43K miles...thankfully under warranty!
I purchased a 2018 M3 a month ago it had 31k mi. for $31K. price and mileage matched so I had to get it.

I have a 2021 model 3 which I am still really enjoying. I slow charge from home using Ecotricity and it costs about $10 a week to charge if I do about 400km.
I'm advised that energy prices are going to increase quite a bit in the next few years so I'm going to investigate putting solar and battery and maybe a wind generator as well as we live on a hill in NZ

My 2019 LR with 64k miles (not KMs) still charged at 250kW the last time I charged it at a supercharger.

Tesla mobile cable is $200 USD in the states - So about $350 NZD? I wonder why the type 2 cable is so much?
I haven't seen any loss in charging speed or power in used model 3s... My 2021 LR has 112000 kms on it and it charges happily at 254 KW. That's 1700 km/h
And my front doors both click. Maybe someday I'll replace the little friction fitting thing.
You've got to remember that here in New Zealand, EVERYTHING is very expensive in comparison to the US. It's not just a matter of converting the currency and calling it a day. We have import taxes, high labor costs, and 15% GST slapped on everything.

Charging, 14,000km a year easy on a granny 10amp charger. No need for anything fancy.
Definitely possible, but you wont be able to exploit the cheaper hours of electricity in the same way.
@@sunejepsen $600 for a 10a granny charger or $2-3k for a wallbox fitted , theres quite a gap to make up there with free electricity

Can you do a similar one for the Model S? I know it will be largely the same, but I'm sure there will be some specifics.
Model S is way more complicated. Model year being very important. Each year is different. Plusses and minuses.

Never trust the ad or person selling a vehicle. You have no idea what they did to the thing before selling it. Always check. The supercharging check is pretty useless, I agree. But other than that. He has correct comments on this video.

@@michaelhealy3638 The predicted lifespan of an EV battery is around 10 years. A replacement battery for a Lexus Ux SUV in 2022 was $43,476 plus GST in Australia.

O please, the car is 2 years old and has done 33000km.That is bearly driven car. I do that in less than half of a year. It shouldn't have any degradation anywhere.

Check how much range it loses overnight whilst asleep. It will tell you a lot about battery health.

Watching this video is waste of time, majority of the 2nd hand Tesla are still under warranty. Repost this video in 5-6 years time, when majority of the Tesla will be out of warranty.
Yeah but it's still a hassle going through a warranty process and getting your car repaired. I'd much rather avoid issues on a used car before purchase

Not at all. I've owned many vehicles and I would say most, if not all, were more boring.
Hardly - it might not have the noise and throb of a v8 but it is so easy and relaxing to drive - and I can drive like an idiot if I want to!
