I love how you said " Exercise to feel good!" I've been having trouble adjusting to my new living situation, my new work schedule, and have had A LOT of stressful situations arise; so I haven't been training like I was, or eating like I was. However, I'm trying to keep that reminded mindset of the "feel good high," that a healthy lifestyle leaves you in. One day I will get settled into this new lifestyle and get a good routine going again. Until then I'm not gonna stop the positive self affirmations and coaching self talk, and lots and lots and lots of praying for the will and the spirit!!!
I know you didn’t ask for advice, but just throwing a little unwarranted advice out there. Each time you think to yourself “my base energy level is low lately” or “my tummy doesn’t feel great”, think back to the time you may be comparing that to. And connect that, each time, to how much better, stronger, and healthier you may have felt when you had a “feel good” routine.

Just a friendly note of advice... I have gotten a few female fitness or strength competitor clients over the past couple of years come into my clinic with complaints of anterior hip pain that worsens coming out of the bottom position of their squat. My clinical analysis indicates they all developed an iliopsoas trigger point in the lower part of the muscle where it inserts onto the femur, or this muscle and the pectineus muscle have hypertrophied/shortened enough that they compress on the underlying nerves when in the bottom of the squat position. I, and they, have determined that it is the weighted hip thrust exercise after doing it for a year, two years or longer that can be the main contributor to developing this problem. I would suggest a stretch or two for the lower psoas and pectineus done immediately following this exercise as it should be sufficient enough to prevent this from developing over the long term for those few people who may be prone to get this problem after many months of doing it and perhaps with high intensity. A lifestyle or job that demands prolonged sitting for many hours a day as in an office or driving environment can perhaps make one more susceptible when training this exercise. It is a decent exercise so I am not recommend in avoiding it in any way, but just mitigate the effects of repetitively loading those muscles in front of the hips while training the glutes.
thank you so much for this! i have been doing heavily hip thrusts for a over a year now and i sometimes get such bad pain in my hips that i can't move, definitely going to use this advice :)
It could also be labral tears. I had bilateral labral tears s/p arthroscopic labral tear repair. You’d be surprised how common it is for people to have them and sometimes they only hurt with certain movements.
This is me. I also have a sedentary office job so I try to focus on other glute focused exercises beside hip thrusts. Hip thrusts are a great exercise but using it as a warm up with 25lbs seems to work best for me
3rd tip is sooo key, once you take the goal of wanting to look a certain way and start training for mental clarity...results results results !!! i saw it so much for myself, and it also encourages you to go to the gym more because your going for mental state, and also simple work outs, chefs kiss, this is the best video on gym advice ever.!

I remember the 80s in which American women did everything possible to not have a big butt. I’m glad I’m still here to witness the opposite and I’m all here for it!! Lol btw. These exercises ain’t easy
That was as late as the early 2000s too! It still freaks me out to see videos like these as most women were teased for years for having a bigger butt to the point of tears and now it's a thing. It's kinda sad.
Congratulations on your little bundle of joy, Chelsea! You have a beautiful name btw. I pray for your happiness and for your smooth pregnancy. Please take care, GOD bless! ❤️
Same. I actually didn’t work out or eat right before being pregnant bc I wasn’t buying my own food or living with my bf alone, instead we lived with his family. So working out was embarrassing lol. But now that I’m preggo and moved out, I eat insanely good and work out almost everyday, although it’s just 20-30 min pregnant workout videos and going outside everyday even tho I’m not walking for hours outside
I think this is why I can never stick to doing exercises, I don't ever feel like I'm getting things done. I've really been trying to find something that gives me progress right then and there, like a physical hobby that builds muscle like gardening, landscaping, horse riding, etc.
That’s why a better way of sticking to exercise is to notice the more internal effects of a workout which can be felt immediately. Workout to feel a “pump” or to feel the endorphins or do a form of exercise that helps you FEEL good immediately and pay attention to that afterward so you feel satisfied. Another way is to create a habit tracker checklist or something physical you can check off when you do workout so you can “see” progress immediately in terms of your consistently only in a different way Hope that helps :)
I used to feel like this so I understand but as I get older I am finding that spending the time to work out/weight lift makes it much easier to work on our farm and keeps me from hurting myself.
Also another good benefit to think about with weightlifting is building strong bones. My mom has osteoporosis, if she had done weights she wouldn't be breaking her bones.
I train strictly for the intention of changing my physique lol!!! Its a plus for me to be exerscising for my health and everything, but i been chubby my whole life! I am going hard now to look like you lol im so close to my goal! 😊 thank u for the tips!!

There are so many fitness influencers out there, but you are the best by far. Your body is incredible and I can’t wait to see the success in the future I’m working towards. Thank you! Do you think you can do an update workout routine to build glutes if you don’t have access to a gym or limited? My gym only has machines and no free weights.
First time here on this channel. First thing I noticed is that you don’t yell and talk super fast and intensely. Thank you, goodness! I watch a lot of fitness influencers for educational and entertainment purposes. A lot of them yell.
Hey Sophie. Not a criticism at all but I would highly recommend you listen to an amazing podcast called Body Stuff with Dr Jen Gunter. There’s a whole episode with a nephrologist talking about the myth that we don’t drink enough water. We get water from everything we eat, fruits, veggies, smoothies, etc. so for most people you only need to drink water if you feel thirsty. If you don’t there’s NO need to force yourself to drink more water at all. Just wanted to share. Love your channel!! 😘
Very solid training tips. My training's focused on strength development, and glute training is essential for the big lifts. Plus, strong glutes also ensure a strong lower back, which will prevent back pain and injuries down the line! Think of your posterior chain as a pillar, and the lower back as the column and the glutes as the base. A strong base is key to having the pillar stand upright under load.
Sophie, try drinking water with a bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice!! I always struggled with drinking water, it tastes kinda not good alone, but when I started drinking water with lemon, I only drink water with lemon 🤣 and really much during the day!! 💛
I started doing deadlifts and was excited about the results but it triggered a herniated disc I have so I had to stop. The herniated disc is correctable so working on that. But was excited to see results from weightlifting.
Great workouts as always, which are great motivation for me to start losing some fat. I know that for successful body transformation you must be hard motivated and train really hard, but many people forget that diet is the most important thing. Percentage wise, diet is 70% and training is 30%, that's the rule in my book. My friend made great transformation and lost 25 kg in six months, but she used diet plans from Next Level Diet.
Exactly how I grew my legs. Started with compound (squat) where I train for strength not hypertrophy. Then 12-15 reps on accessories to absolute failure/PAST failure. You think you’re training hard…. I definitely have no problem with putting in the time and energy but at the same time I still know what I’m doing. I have no help at the gym so it’s hard for me to actually use the big weights unfortunately but I work around it and I think my glutes are growing somewhat.
I would love to see a video of what you think about certain supplements! Which ones you recommend and find useful and which ones you don’t think are needed.

Don't know if this helps, but I had the hardest time doing this too. Turns out because I spent most of my life sitting down squashing my glutes, they never got enough blood flow and just couldn't activate. Do you also sit a lot? If so, you might have to focus on "activation" exercises for a while.
You need to connect your glutes to a surgeon for that BBL. Dont tell me you think these girls are building basketball size glutes in a gym lol. If that was the case, every guy who lifts would have these "glites" .
