- Rod knock is an irritating sound that comes from the lower end of the engine due to worn out connecting rod bearings.

Lol as a mechanic u must know tht if tht happens it's obvious oil starvation your oil might be dirty so I clogged into oil gallaries or I closes oil strainer or pickup the tube tht problem it coursed by lack of lubricating and u can fix it without removing the engine buy conrod bearing the come as a set even if u want to replace only 1 you buy them as a set take a fine send paper I think P1000 the finest one put it around the crankshaft jonals try to send it a little bib jus to make it clean n smoother then put your bearing put everything together new oil then u can start the car drive the car then change oil again u will be good to go
Ok
I have the same problem, when the engine is hot, it makes a noise. Is this also the sound of the crankshaft?
R
When the engine becomes hot, the oil becomes thin. This may lead to immature wear of moving parts. Theer are a number of causes for the knocking sound, but the main culprit is the crankshaft. Get the engine serviced and listen again. If the problem persists get a professional to check it for you.
Same noise in park gets louder with acceleration was told timing
Mine has it on the same clyinder 😢
I can solve it for you
Thanks for sharing, good luck man
Can I fix it without taking the cylinder head out?

@@Paul-nh1sf I bought a slim engine in the end.
Is this identical to the 1Nz Fe engine? It says online there practically the same just slightly newer
My mums Toyota Corolla Allex is making this noise but only sometimes
1nz fe is known for such noises but this occurs due to the vvt-i oil strain. But i hope it goes away after a short while
Decided to sell that car
Have a new Nissan with a neo performance engine
Goes like a brand-new car
Will never touch another one of these Toyotas
I spent thousands on it for my mum keeping it going for her
The qg15de series with neo technology are dope. I've had my nissan sunny for three years now with no big issues engine wise
