    Thanks so much for this excellent step by step video. Since I remove the loader only once a year to install a blower I always have trouble remembering which way to move the stick. My 3039R has the full cab and the lower glass is very close to the loader arm tower so I can’t afford to make a mistake. Most helpful tip for me was putting the tractor in neutral when disconnecting loader letting it roll out slowly. Awesome video which I will watch numerous times twice a year. Thanks from John in Eagle River, WI.

    If you have a dust cap that falls off, put a small zip tie around it not really tight just a little pressure. That causes enough resistance to keep it from falling off. That has worked well for me.

    Good pointers here, it took me a half dozen times to get good at doing it. My hose attachment is tougher to get to, I have the factory install Mauser cab. I only rip JD for not doing a better job on that. I'm more than willing to do a video of mine on and off with the Mauser cab if anyone is interested in seeing the difference.

    As usual, your videos are always helpful and informative. I recently bought a used 1025R with loader and from this video I learned two things. 1) I'm not the only one who struggles with the hydraulic connectors. Lol 2) That somehow I have missed that you should have the tractor in NEUTRAL when taking the loader off. That looks like it will make it a lot easier and smoother to remove. Thanks again!

    Poor Rosie! I hope she gets better soon.
    For the "slow learners" (j/k), John Deere has a smart phone APP called "TractorPlus". Once you download it and configure it with what equipment you have, it has step by step instructions that you can go through while sitting on the tractor. The APP has instructions for the bucket, loader, and mid-mount mower for the way that I configured it for my tractor, along with error code look-up, icon glossary, safety info, etc.. In reality, after you go through the process a few times, it becomes easier and easier to do without having to think about it at all. But, the APP is handy to have if you need a refresher lesson if you forget how to get it done.

    I'm impressed with all the garage doors. When you build your house all garage doors at 8 feet high and at least 10 wide. You'll never regret it.

    I was told about another method of bleeding out the pressure ( tractor side ) on the hydraulics. With the engine shut off, turn the key to the first part without starting the engine, then rotate the levers and activate the 3rd if you have it. The pressure is relieved to the point where it is easier to connect the lines.

    I happened to read in the manual that if you never remove the loader (like me), there is a procedure to firm up the operation of the controls. If you pick the front of the tractor a couple of inches off the ground, then loosen the 2 small set screws, this will allow the 2 large pressure screws to be tightened against the back side of the mount arms. Tighten the small set screws, & I assure you the next time it is used, you will swear it is a new loader. This really helped the operation of mine, the only down side, the large screws will need to be loosened before the loader can be removed.......

    • @belindakt
      @belindakt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GoodWorksTractors I failed to mention they want you to raise the front end using the bucket. It appears this takes all the slack out of the latch, then adjusting the large bolt holds it tight against the frame member. Sure made mine easier to use.....

    I still come back to your vid to review how to remove and attach the loader. This time I can't get those two kick-brackets on either side to come up, so I can't remove the loader. And I do have it in neutral. I tried it on grass/gravel and also in a barn with a flat concrete floor...(later): Ah, yes, I missed the step when you rock the bucket forward and lift the front wheels a bit off the ground!

  • @wcnecaise
    @wcnecaise 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great video for this first time operator. Have you ever used a loader dolly, and have you ever detached/attached the loader directly to/from that dolly? Right now, I’m thinking I would use a large furniture dolly for the bucket end and a small furniture dolly for the parking stand. IF you get a chance, I would appreciate seeing a video of you detaching/attaching the loader to such a loader dolly. Keep up the great work!

      No, I haven't don't that before. I'm not sure if it would work smoothly or not to be honest.

    • @wcnecaise
      @wcnecaise 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t have my loader yet so I’m not able to try this. However I’ve seen posts saying the furniture dollies make a good dolly for the loader. I’m hoping that is true as I have limited storage space and can easily see benefits of using a loader dolly. Would you be able to check this out this out and give your thoughts on the loader dolly? Maybe you would find an even better idea for a loader dolly? I know you have limited time and need to focus on highest value added topics, but I wonder if this topic would be of help/interest to multiple subscribers? On a separate but related note, I recently found a “mower deck stand” that looks like it worked well and I wonder if this might be another topic of interest? Thoughts? TY

    Nice vid; for me the most difficult part is plugging those hose back in -- they just pop back out. I'll have to get the dealer to look at this and show me how.

    • @GoodWorksTractors
      @GoodWorksTractors  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Make sure you're relieving the hydraulic pressure. You should be able to push in the nipple on the fitting very easily. Normally this is the problem if they pop back off.

  • @daniel2603
    @daniel2603 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    What keeps the support leg in the standing position after bleeding the pressure? Just the friction with the ground? I can take mine off normally fine… but I’ve been trying to take it off on a dolly like others have done. On a dolly, if I bleed the pressure, the leg wants to fold back in. The legs don’t really “lock” in the standing position like some describe it.

    I’ve got a 3046r and whenever I hook back up there is alway too much hydraulic pressure on some of the hoses. End up having to use a wrench to relieve pressure. I always move the control arm around to relieve pressure before unhooking. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? It’s usually several months between hooking up.
