Sign me up. Took a while to grow on me, it's unusual... But anything that captures your attention like this thing does deserves to be called stunningly beautiful.
He tends to dock points for functional aero pieces like wings and canards. It’s stupid to me because I think those things add to the beauty, but styling is subjective and some people might find those things to look garish and I think that’s his logic behind it, not everyone will agree that it looks amazing because of one or two perceived “flaws” so the score has to reflect that

My car is a 1 : 15 version of the P1. What his car does in 1 second, my car does in 15 seconds.
Easily the best looking road car that McLaren has ever made. I know it’s function > form but that makes it even more impressive. I prefer it looks wise to both the LaFerrari and 918.
The lines are flowing and the styling is so simple yet wild.
The Porsche looks pretty plain and dated and the Ferrari looks like a 3 year old's dream, over styled. The p1 is just timeless.
James Turner yeah the 918 and most Porsches are very muted, but the LaFerrari is over styled, but this is beautiful

"Practicality"
I had a fun run in with one of these P1's back around 2015-16. I was heading east from downtown St Paul on Interstate 94 on a sunny day. Traffic was rolling along well above the speed limit when this gray P1 zoomed past my 1983 Mercedes 300 Coupe Diesel as if we stood still. I then decided to have some fun, knowing he would probably shut it down after a mile or so. I picked up speed to about 90, and found him a number of miles down the road. He then increased speed to around 110, which I matched and rolled with him for a mile or two as we headed toward the Wisconsin border, He then hit it again and was gone. I then dropped back down to around 85 and thought I'd seen the last of him. Wouldn't you know it, we came upon him again doing about 70. We then went through the routine for a second time, and then a third before he turned off 94 in Wisconsin. I was happy to be within site of him as he left the interstate. It was exhilarating fun.

Carbon is super rigid as well. That has a lot to do with feeling everything in the cockpit. For that price, it should have seat dampeners.. IMO. Thanks Doug, looks thrilling.
