Damn! This is way more hyped than the version I have. Im in an area of europe that never got the NES, so im stuck with a PAL famiclone playing NTSCJ games. Its great, but the music tends to be a bit slow. Sometimes you can stumble upon a PAL version though. My version of this however did not have sampled sounds... could this be because its a famiclone, or because its a ripoff game?
I own this game too since 1997 or so. Every version has sample playback, being the only difference, that the european version has no orchestra hits (basically, these are very low pitched sounds, similiar to the Sunsoft bass). The reason why you didn't heard the samples is probably because your Famiclone was a NOAC (Nintendo On a Chip) which generally sucked to produce normal quality PCM playback.
Wait, are the drums samples on the rollercoaster thing? In that case i do... on some levels? But i dont have the base tone thing, is that a FC only channel? (It also lacks in the troll verson)
