Honestly, I love the 1500. I also have the 6 in one, but for my work carry on the day to day, it's the plain Jane for me! Breaks in with time.

How's it holding up? Many people have very high praise for these knives.

A lot of people seem to have reservations about the plastic body on some of these Milwaukee Fastback knives, but it's really tough stuff. It's glass-reinforced, and probably less likely to crack than the die cast metal ones if you drop it from a ladder onto concrete.

I bought both the 1500 and 1502. Returned the 1500 because it wasn’t as smooth flipping out and the 1502, despite being bigger, slides in and out of my pocket easier and allows my wallet to do the same.

Yep, 1502 is superior. Well said, Jack!

I really like my 1500. It has the same flip issues that you highlight, but my other press and flips literally fall open. With a razorblades in the mix, I don't mind having to commit to opening. I love the hood over the blade release. So many utility knives have a blade release that is located within the natural release. This is dangerous because the blade release button/lever should never be part of a gripping surface. My only real concern over time is the pivot and locking strength. We are all hard on our utility knives and with a sacrificial blade, pushing hard enough to chip/break the blade is a fact of life. So the rotational axel and lock must be stronger than the blade integrity. For the price, it's the best on the market IMHO.

Agree, the price makes up for almost all the downfalls. But for me, I prefer the 1501 and 1502. Not much more expensive but the knife is better (metal body and I like the "gut hooks"). Thanks for watching and commenting Doc!

I have no need to use a knife every day. I find my way around needing one. Bought this one just to have something on me. We will see if I use it or keep it in the tool box

I have the 1501 for home owner use. Works great. I gave my married daughter the 1500 compact. The compact fits her hand but it is too small for me and I also noticed the blade doesn’t snap out so easily. If you have normal men’s size hands get the 1501 or other models, 1500 seems too small.

I am still thinking about which Miwaukee knife I should buy. After watching your video with good comparison, I got a much better direction.

plastic body i'm not sure about it for tough jobs, but for the price it's good, this is perfect (in my opinion) for a backup edc knife compact and light, super cool video as always

Thanks Virtual Virtual! I agree, for the price you can't beat this one. But I would personally go with the 1501 or 1502 myself. I like metal body and gut hooks. But I know some people prefer a smaller knife for edc. Milwaukee has a great lineup to choose from.

Not bad for a China knife. Picked one up for $6 at home depot

Completely agree. But overall a little to small for my everyday knife. Thanks for watching KodeKraft! Hit me up with a subscribe if you haven't already.
