    the spacers provide room for wider tires which provides better traction in several circumstances but obviously you can only go so far outward with spacers due to stress factors and road width. i would recommend a better brake setup if you go with wider tires to compensate for the added weight and rotational forces.

      R I P car. The force on those bolts under hard excelleration. will rip the wheel and complete hub/spacer assembly clean off. I had a one inch spacer on the rear of one of my cars that came with high tensile bolts and a warning NOT to go eny wider with the spacers. You could get 1/4" spacers and also 1/2" from the same manufacturer.

      @@michaelwalker1119 Dude.. I have 1" wheel spacers that literally place the wheel exactly where the factory offset was. In my case it's literally no different than running the factory wheels.

    The offset of the wheel keeps the weight inboard instead of hanging off the side. But much more importantly, spacers dramatically change the geometry of the suspension for the worse. So your front wheel rotates around an arc instead pivoting in the center axis of the hub

    Hubcentric is the ONLY way to run spacers or wheels. The hub is supposed to take the force and weight, NOT the lugs. Your wheels will vibrate no matter what without them fitting tight and true to the hub bore.

  • @tomrohlfs5538
    @tomrohlfs5538 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    When you really want that car to sit right, and have a wide stance, look up
    Red Barn Customs . I had some wide wheels made, with a deep offset for my truck. They done great, and only a little more expensive than other wheels online, that wasn’t exactly what I wanted , or offered the stance and offset I needed.

    • @okiedokie3845
      @okiedokie3845 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      BUILT you said you don't know why spacers are bad for the vehicle compared to offset rims.... It's all about where the weight gets transferred to the ground, offset rims still bolts to the factory location, spacers start at factory location but the weight is where the rim bolts to the spacer instead of where it should be.

    Hey man spacers will eventually fail. Normally ending in loss of a wheel. Ask me how I know! The reason for having the wide wheels is because it spreads the weight more evenly and the weight is centred closer to the hub. Wheels are worth the investment especially if your taking your little dude for a spin. Good luck man
