Caught some 2" Mammoth Spacers on sale from American Trucks about a month back. Had good reviews, so I pulled the trigger. Pushed out my factory 20x9 Ram Express wheels about an inch from the wheel well. Been riding about 2k miles, not a problem yet. Proper torque wrenching and thread locker = all systems go.
I've been using some 3 inch titan wheel accessories spacers on my chevy k1500 for about 3000 miles now and they are great. I would recommend them. Cheap too
I got 1.5" bora spacers on my truck as well. I offroad the truck a good amount from mild trails to desert terrains. No issues here. I check and retorque the lugs if needed every tire rotation.
I used Bora spacers 1 1/2” on my truck for 10,000 miles. Zero issues. Now rocking black rhino +12 offsets to clear all my aftermarket suspension you guys sold me!
I run spacers on my truck, with factory wheels. What sucks is that the state safety inspection of Pennsylvania says wheel spacers are deemed unsafe and illegal to use so every time i get my truck inspection done, I have to remove the spacers. I run 1" steel hub centric spacers, and torque to factory specs and recheck after the first 100 miles, then recheck every oil change when we rotate the tires. Using the same spacers for 3yrs now without any problems.
No different than a heavily offset aftermarket wheel. I've always just been told not to use them with aftermarket wheels with large offset and you'll be fine. At that point it's like double stacking.
Went with 2" Boras. No complaints. Ordered them during all the nonsense and pandemic took quite a bit to get here but worth the wait' for a quality product..
Can’t lie I’m running 2 inch non hub centric Amazon spacers on my 2016 2500 Silverado torqued with the ole Milwaukee half inch I put Anti-seize all over the back of the spacer and on every stud haven’t had an issue I also tow around 10k pounds occasionally with it rims are stock steel 17s with 35x12.50r17 tires
Been on Amazon Spacers to run a 17in stock wheel drag setup in my 1,000+hp Vette for about a year. Numerous track visits and 160mph+ roll race hits. I check them at least every other month. No issues thus far (knock on wood)
Shaking hands with danger 😂 just kidding for every couole hundred piles of crap that ship from china there is a few handfull of actual decent stuff. Its just all drowned out by trash
I actually lost a wheel on the interstate and someone managed to get it on dash cam, I posted it on my page. I don't think I'll ever run spacers again.
From the looks of your wheel hub you were running cheap lug centric ebay spacers that sheared off your lug nuts. As this video points out, hub centric spacers are perfectly safe, lug centric ones, like the ones you had, are not. I have over a 100K miles towing 10k on my 2" hub centric spacers with no issues. You not only get what you pay for with these, but it may end up costing you a truck or worse. Glad your OK.
I have no idea what brand my spacers are, and although I have use spacers on all my vehicles until I’m able to buy new wheels with zero incidents so far I’ll follow your advice because I really like my 2018 Rebel rims and I love to have them flush with the fender flares. Therefore, I’ll be getting a set of Bora for my toy. Thanks for the info.
I am running 37" x 12.5" Mickey Thompson Baja's R20's on stock F250 wheels. What size (complete description) spacers would I need to prevent rubbing? Thanks for the help.
Heeeeyyyyy yoouuuuuu guuuuuyyyysss! Any chance I won that curbed Arkon?!?! Haven’t been able to sleep all week in hopes of having that baby hanging on the wall in the shop! 😁
Yall us threadlocker and im a welder haha. If something has alot of torque on it. Habit sets in and i wanna put a small tack on the end haha. But makes it a nightmare to take off. I love my 2011 chevy durmax stock wheels. But i want it to poke 1 inch. So 1.5 inch is what i need. Idk though.
I’ve been using rough country 2 inch spacers and haven’t had any issues in a year, ive heard good quality hub centric spacers melt and mess up, ive heard cheap eBay spacers run for years. It’s a risky game just buy a decent brand and you should be all right
Make sure to go with steel spacers if your towing heavy loads, for"lighter" towing aluminum is greative been running 1.5in aluminum HUB CENTRIC (IMPORTANT AF) and no probs towing 24ft boats and some weight in the bed but with q camper that heavy especialy for long distances... steel
Hey Dustin, are your lights on your LBZ behind you custom or are they off the shelf? Can you provide a link if so? Also, over 100k pulling 10k on Bora 2" hub centrics!
@@CustomOffsetsTV Yes! I did that but now I’ve got new wheels in the way and want to use the same spacers. So I’m gonna use the rings and see if it works
last time I checked Fred Flintstone didn't have spacers and did just fine folks stock is ok 👌 lol I wanna see that bug be a tesla with spacers lol after all Elon is all bout that space.... 😉😜
No they aren't. Normally, Only the 2019+ Silverado 1500's have the (option) to have the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine. The older models dont offer that engine choice.
I have an unrelated question but will a tire and wheel set up of the same size fit on a leveled 2007 Ram 1500 with no rubbing? From this 275/55r20 video th-cam.com/video/uuT0pRjOjDU/w-d-xo.html

I run 2” BORA spacers on the rear of my 2500 Chevy. Tow with it, off road with it. I haven’t had any issues with them.
Running Bora 2" spacers for 15k miles so far on stock Ram 20x8 wheels. Re-torqued them after 8k miles and they were not loose at all.
Did you use loc-tite ?
@@JohnD0129 no, just your regular nut that come with the spacers
@@JohnD0129 Bora will not honor warranty if you use loc-tite.

Did you use thread lock
Spidertrax 1.25 on a Toyota 4runner. 25k+ miles no problems. Dirt, highway, pulling trailers.
I'm running 2 inch spacers now for about 10k miles. No issues, just remember pat once cry once. You get want you pay for.
The only real thing I've heard about at shops is they make the bearings wear out faster because it transfers the weight at an angle.
Yep.

@@braydenmeals9311 15mm and 20mm

Medium strength thread locker and actually use a torque wrench and the lug nuts will never come off and lose a wheel.
Orange thread locker . Close to red and no heat is needed to get bolts off.

I just bought my first truck it’s a 1992 f150 4x4 I was wondering if I could run 2” spacers in front and rear but I’m on a budget any ideas??
You can run them yes and we have financing options on our website.
@@CustomOffsetsTV 👍🏼thanks for the feedback
I bought 2.5” aluminum bora spacers on the first of october, they haven’t arrived yet but I’m excited for them to arrive.
Do hub centric spacers cause any vibration at higher speeds?
Personally I like to only tighten down the lugs half way on my spacers just to add alittle excitement to the ride. But that’s just me
😂😂 bad advice
If you buy good ones and have a good mechanic put them on and torque then to spec you should be good.

Lesson learned the hard way, totaled my last truck due to cheap spacers

Cheap wheel spacers are good for tire racks and thats it!
