Everyone else who has made a review of this weapon has just talked about the perks/stats, said it's great for bosses" and said it can two burst in PvP, and because this it's "a great weapon". The weapon might be "great" on paper, but if you can't see shit while firing it doesent matter! I really wanted to like this weapon, but it's really awkward to use, you can't se half the screen while firing and it's just annoying. In PvP people just vanish from sight because you can't see where they go, and in PvE it's annoying as fuck to shoot at enemies who don't have huge heads where you just have to point in there general direction to get crits. Naah, it could be great, but they have to redesign it and skip the lightning-effect on the muzzle flash to be useful. I'll stick with the Hung Jury SR4 for a while.
Just now realized how appropriate it was for this weapon to be acquired during the Paradox mission... because the weapon itself is a causal loop paradox
On the topic of Pulse Rifles, here's some ideal rolls (based on opinion of course) for some various legendary Pulse Rifles in Year Two that I've tried. I realize that you cannot reroll these guns, but here's some of the best possible perk combinations I've either used or had access to from friends. I think that it's important to try all of the weapons before stating an opinion on them. The chances of getting a Spare Change.25 with Counterbalance and Hand Laid Stock is only 1.8% so you're going to need some serious luck with how rare they drop. The Grasp of Malok can be farmed and the SUROS / Hakke Pulse Rifles can be ordered from the gunsmith.
What is the issue with the sights? They are so clean and unobstructive! (The side plating is a non factor. So many guns have that with no complaints..)

I'm so glad I got this gun. I was out of town when the first firewall went down, and I haven't been able to pull off the black spindle quest, so this was the first time gated gun I got, and I'm totally alright with that. it's fantastic for the raid and pretty much any boss.
Hey do the critical damage shots like melting point and shadow shot apply to no time to explain? As in you use melting point or shadow shot then essentially shoot body shots while the critical damage is applied refunds?
I'm new to Destint so excuse me if i ask a dumb question but at 8:36 those 4 arrows or target markers, how to you get that? I've seen other destiny players use it on pve and pvp and when your target runs you can pretty much see it since those arrows are there so can someone explain that to me without be rude?

I don't know about the mars strikes... probaby still there to give a sense of " The taken are having a rough time with the things on mars "

All of the TTK strikes are SO much better, as in each of the bosses have unique mechanics rather than the Year 1 bosses that you just kill until they die with no intervention.

personally I love the No Time, fantastic weapon for me. especially with the endless rounds and stability ..I think the sights are good, because while they may be a bit bulky, they make it so that you actually have to reload because it increases chances of missing your shot, so that you aren't taking advantage of Rewind Again too much, in my opinion, BUNGIE did a swell job with this pulse rifle. pve and pvp its quite fun to use, and I think I'll use it for a while.
Hmm. So that's what was bothering me when i finally got it last night. I couldn't figure out why i was having a harder time chaining precisions compared to the stranger's rifle. I love the parallax effect on the stranger's rifle's sights, makes it seem really easy to track and chain head shots. Hope they bring it over to the NTTE at some point.
i definitely agree with the sights. the strangers rifle sights had a nice depth to them but the no time to explain sights feel like your trying to look through a glass wall with a sticker pasted over it if that makes sense

I can absolutely destroy with the Strangers Rifle. The sights on that gun are perfect. As soon as I equip No Time to Explain however, I just can't seem to hit my head shots as consistently. It's not the sights so much as it's the sides of the gun that obscure the FoV quite a bit. I honestly think if they altered the sights, this would be one of the best PvP guns in the game.
It's the best PVE pulse rifle. No doubt. Worth having. I find Nirwen's better for PvP. 11 shots before reload, rediculously accurate and stable. 3rd eye. Then pair it with Chaperone for super swift reloads and an extra 3-5 damage per head shot. Not only that, you can use it to get Roadborn, switch to Chappy and have a fan-fire Chappy ready to finish targets #2 and 3. Just my favorite PVP loadout.

I use the No Time To Explain, raid sniper, and raid machine gun on the first half of the raid until Sisters. Pretty good way to always be pumping out some damage to the bosses.

Ive used this gun in pvp and I have had no problems with it On a side note No time to explain and defiance of yasmin is a really good set up for war priest it works wonders for your dps and its better than missing a shot with spindle because even if you miss with either weapon you don't have to reload

There's 3 things they need to do about this gun: 1. Change the sights to be the same as The Stranger's Rifle. 2. Give it the same paint job as The Stranger's Rifle. 3. Give it Arc damage like in the pre-release version. I know Luke "Dumbass" Smith said that primaries weren't going to have elemental damage anymore, but he really needs to re-think that decision...
I'm pretty impressed with my Villainy Pulse Rifle with PvP Strong Target Acquisition + Enhanced Target Acquisition + Radar on while aiming. Landing headshots is easy now -just hold down LT and press RT and the rest comes 'naturally' ;)
I was so excited that this gun is just like the Strangers Rifle. Had no idea that they changed the sites and look of it. It would have been nice to have a high DPS version of my favourite gun. I don't even care that it's an exotic, I'd be so happy if there was a Y2 version of the Stranger Rifle and I could just infuse everything into it. Maybe that'll be my unrealistic wish for Destiny 2.
I've been using the hell outta this gun during trials this weekend. Like its my only gun I can really use for the way trials play. I've been enjoying it. two-three burst across the map is nice
A weapon so central to the lore and the result of a convoluted quest chain plus weeks of waiting needed to be a bit more exceptional. It's OK. And in PVE it can be handy. But there are, as noted, better choices that don't suck up an exotic.
I really like how you worded that. Enhance your load out. trials was so much more enjoyable without thorn involved. Y1 we basically had to use thorn. but I saw so many different types of load outs today and enjoyed it. my suros dis-43 was the work horse. but I didn't see anyone else using it. idk it's a excellent weapon
If the minuscule plating on the scope really affects your aim that much, I think you are paying to much attention to it. I use this weapon and have no problem with it. I also personally do not see how it is "bulky", there is almost no difference besides 2 dots and the plating. I guess it really comes down to personal preference, but I don't see why the sights could be labeled as bad.
The radio in the cutscene where you meet the Stranger sounds like Praedyth's radio which he uses to contact you. Could he be the one who is communicating with the Stranger!? I know that it mentions a ship, so maybe this is just before the Vault of Glass mission with Kabr? All in all, the gun has quickly become one of my favourites for both PvE and PvP. I loved the Stranger's Rifle, and I knew this was going to be one of my favourites when they announced it through Game Informer. I can't wait to use it in King's Fall!

Y2 Exotics have been pretty lackluster so far. I'd rather have a Y2 Mida Multi Tool over this.

A weapon so central to the lore and the result of a convoluted quest chain plus weeks of waiting needed to be a bit more exceptional.
It's OK. And in PVE it can be handy. But there are, as noted, better choices that don't suck up an exotic.
The bullets aren't pulled from the ether they are the fired bullets being returned directly back into the magazine.

The sights aren't really a problem for me, love the gun for both pvp and pve
I really like how you worded that. Enhance your load out. trials was so much more enjoyable without thorn involved. Y1 we basically had to use thorn. but I saw so many different types of load outs today and enjoyed it. my suros dis-43 was the work horse. but I didn't see anyone else using it. idk it's a excellent weapon

If the minuscule plating on the scope really affects your aim that much, I think you are paying to much attention to it. I use this weapon and have no problem with it. I also personally do not see how it is "bulky", there is almost no difference besides 2 dots and the plating. I guess it really comes down to personal preference, but I don't see why the sights could be labeled as bad.

The radio in the cutscene where you meet the Stranger sounds like Praedyth's radio which he uses to contact you. Could he be the one who is communicating with the Stranger!? I know that it mentions a ship, so maybe this is just before the Vault of Glass mission with Kabr? All in all, the gun has quickly become one of my favourites for both PvE and PvP. I loved the Stranger's Rifle, and I knew this was going to be one of my favourites when they announced it through Game Informer. I can't wait to use it in King's Fall!

Personally I like the weapon. It's stable, and being a pulse rifle it's does good damage.
