The volumetric efficiency of the 5.0 just can’t be beat. Adding additional air and fuel is a sure recipe for success! IMO.🤔 I daily drive a TRX, so I’m always fascinated by your type of truck set up. thx!
I think the C8 was using the paddles and starting in 3rd or 4th in the rolls. I had a trx for 3 mo, lost in 0-60 runs to a stock camaro SS 10 spd, We were even off the line and after 40 that SS started pulling away and by 90 the SS was 2 cars ahead. Tuned the trx 800 hp and npw I was ahead at 75-80 but after 95 that better aero and light weight SS pulled on by and got that 2 car lead by 115 this time, the did the stg 2 which was 870 hp or so and then I was able to take out that camaro SS from 0-120. That was a stock Camaro SS btw, a friend just got it a few days earlier, new with 30 miles on it. Sold trx to a buddy who then put it back to stg 1 and enjoys it Our best 0-60 was 3.5 sec with 870 hp on eom factory tires. With oem power our best 0-60 was 4.2 sec All in kool 65° air and low 40% humidity.

They gotta run a 1/4. the higher mph trap speed is who is "faster" or do a top speed run, unlimited, thats which is faster.

That was fun. The 150 can really move out. I'd be curious to see some performance tests with stock wheel tire on the truck (assuming those would be maybe 20-30 lbs lighter?

Why do you think a Silverado or a 5.7 Ram would beat that C8 that had its hands full with the F150. So the F150 would destroy the other pickups you mentioned with the exception of possibly the TRX.

Your f150 is making good mid range power, that's for sure. But Perhaps add some nitrous...
But you need twin turbos !
If you add TTs to a supercharged F150 you need to add a helmet to protect your skull from flying pistons
@@mattbrew11 lmao!!! I was referring to replacing the supercharger with twin turbos from hellion or something! Twin turbos will make more torque, more efficient, and have much greater pull on mid range to top end!!

Back road Driver, dude, the base C8 with full fluids is 3540 lbs, I had one a 1LT base, base C8, your 200+ lbs to low/off. And a F150 awd super crew is 5760 lbs, 2wd is 5590 lbs and adding a supercharger and associated parts adds 140 lbs more plus the F150 looks like full leather, etc ..So its way heavier than 5590 lbs and just asuming its 2wd its still 5730 lbs.w/SC'r and add the leather package upgrades XLT and its closer to 5780 lbs.
Damn that f150 has some tall gears... Once you get past the weight of the truck she can dump some fuel in those big ass cylinders... Great race time for some camping in those GA mountain... We used to live in Duluth GA loved it... All right boys, Banks family out....
That F150 has a 10 speed. The final gear doesnt matter too much

You can buy a F150 and if u get it at a Ford performance dealer they’ll throw on the supercharger and u can finance it all in the truck payment still expensive but cool to have a fully warrantied truck with the blower and finance it with the truck.

This is a coyote platform, no? Did the four-wheel drive train need any upgrade?🤔 I have also heard people speak about hardened oil pump gears. Is that an issue? i’ll look through your other videos if you’ve already addressed those questions, thanks again!
My 2018 truck has billet oil pump gears and crank sprocket. The 2021 and up doesen’t need an upgrade.
What's the exhaust setup on the 150?

What is your launch method on the f150? Looks as if 2wd launch? In sport mode I assume?
4H, rear end locked, in sport mode, and advanced track off.
@@BackroadDriver sweet truck man! On roll races you are just flooring it or holding it in low gear with manual?
I'm putting it in manual mode and downshifting to the best gear (3-4k rpm). As soon as I floor it I hit the manual button to flip it back to auto. It's almost impossible to change gears yourself. The lag between hitting the button and it shifting is ridiculous.
I’m even more impressed by the C8. That blown F150 is quick and the C8 ate it …impressive.
Not sure what video you were watching... A 4 door 4wd truck beat that Vettes ass from roll... Truck should've never had a chance in a roll race... And fools think a C8 will take out a new GT500, 😂😂😂

I actually thought the truck would of taken it from a dig and the Corvette from a roll because Hennessey did that but I guess that's not thiss case here LMFAO that's still 1 sick ass truck that it could pull like that in the top end against a C8 Corvette
I had to feather the pedal in the rolls to make sure I had traction before I took off…
Just think of what it would be like if the Hammer was able to shed 750-1,000 lbs some how.
Ill be interested to see how the lightning does against the supercharger. My guess is gone at launch but similar results > 40
The EV Lightning is not all that quick. Ford trashed the name buy attaching it to an EV.

Depends on how it was advertised, if y’all did a video and planned it for a month or so out and reminded people about a week out I’m sure the turnout would be awesome. Several of my friends watch yalls channel also. I do wish y’all would do some off-road stuff in something, not yalls trucks though😂 took my 2015 fx4 in the woods this morning to hunt and got a little scratch through the clear coat and paint, looking into buying an older jeep or Tacoma to lift and put 33s or 35s on it. wish I had the guts to start a channel

Makes it more of a movie than a blog in my opinion. But I love the work, just wish y’all had some hour long videos that were set up kinda like jailbreak overlander does on his videos with multiple cameras set up on the outside of the car. Oh Jesus , videos like this make many TH-cam viewers that don't own any fast cars and have no real life experience think an f150 is faster then a BASE c8 corvette.
So now im forced to educate the masses. Also to be clear I own a built c7 z06 and a built g4 viper so im not bias to American, love them all
There are 3 trims for most corvette gens ( base , z06, zr1).
Stock C8 Base 1/4 mile time = 11.18
Stock Naturally aspirated C8 Z06 1/4 mile = 10.4
Stock ZR1 1/4 mile - Not available as the car isn't out yet
Stock 2021 5.0 F150 crewcab 1/4 mile = 13.8
Stock 2021 Mustang GT 5.0 10spd 1/4mile = 12.2
Stock 2021 Mustang GT500 10spd 1/4 mile - 10.6
So here you have it , Corvettes mid-level z06 which is also naturally aspirated( meaning all motor, no turbo or supercharger) is faster then Fords highest level of performance GT500 with its huge supercharger. The ZR1 isn't even out yet but that will be a 9 second car guaranteed putting 90% of supercars away .

Did the Whipple tune remove the speed limiter?
I have verified that the speed limiter has been changed to 135 now. Too bad the digital readout on the dash only goes to 120.... I checked it using GPS and an app on my phone.

Still got the e-locker in it for now. It's a 9.75 rear end because I got the heavy duty towing package.
@@BackroadDriver That's the only thing I regret was not getting a better tow package on my 2021 5.0 so I could get the 9.75, I had that on my 2004 FX4 and my 00 Harley F150. I just have the Tow Tech package with the hitch basically. I do have the 3.73 gears though. I'm thinking about this Whipple kit though. Man, I'm going back and forth on it.

Damn F150 is lighter than a TRX by 200 lbs, makes 69 hp more than TRX but ONLY does 4.2 vs TRX 3.5 sec. Hmmmm. Even the f150 Shelby 750 hp does 3.7 sec. Possibly gearing or tall tires.

775 Hp on the F 150 means crank HP on a base Whipple tune on 93 octane with the bigger 3.75” pulley. You do a reg cab 4x4 on an e85 custom tune, and i bet they’re neck and neck. No need to even pulley down
