Hi, I have a procharger on a C8, the STD set up stinks, however went with stage 2, pulled out sent . to WA state for tuning, took off all that piggy back junk from stage 1, and the car is a different car, runs better, picked up 100 more RWHP, transmission shifts and works way better, very happy now, sounds great, highly recommended, I think he might be off some in his pricing on procharger, it’s not as much as he thinks and I had it professionally installed by a pro charger dealer in NC, and would 100% do it again. Biggest reason I went with a procharger was, they were 1St to have it ready, although I really wasn’t ready until they could tune the ecm, which was 100% better .
Not sure what you mean Wongs? Sounds like a smart ass remark. It was HP Tuners thru ProCharger. The shop took out ECM , and overnighted it to them and returned the same way.
@@vivid_racing, I might have done a Magna charger, if it would have been available sooner, I have had experience with Magna on GM trucks and been happy with those, know what I know now, I think I would still stick with ProCharger, very happy with the stage 2 set up. 620 rwhp, I am no racer, just a 66yo guy that likes the sound and extra acceleration it gives, would 💯 do it again!
I have a centrifugal supercharger in my C6. Centrifugal results in boost pressure NOT being linear with RPM, boost pressure is non linear with increasing rpm. With my C6, below 2000 rpm, boost from the supercharger is pretty minimal......the car drives like a base engine C6. Not a problem since below 2000 rpm, my C6 will still outperform 90% of the cars (econo-boxes) on the street. Also, family members are safe to drive the car. Boost pressure starts to be noticeable at 2500 rpm and by 3000 rpm you are really experiencing the elevated acceleration. Boost pressure increases continually...alll the way up to red line. There's no plateauing. I get 580 rwhp at 6500 rpm. I also have a C8. I plan on getting a supercharger for it. I don't know yet if I'll go for a centrifugal or scrolling roots type blower yet. I wish it were that easy. My 2LT ‘22 C8 was $98k ($5k above MSRP). A Z06 built out the way I want is like $50k more before the markup. I put a deposit on a TT kit from Boost District. Even after an upgraded clutch and axle I’ll be looking at around +$35k. Yea, warranty will be voided, but it will be a ton of fun. I’d assume the centrifugal supercharger would be the best set up as the E-Ray already has more than enough low end torque with the AWD to get out on the Z06 & just beat it to the 1/8th mile so that high end power should in theory help the E-Ray maintain its lead on the Z06 to the 1/4 mile
