I don't know if you even keep up with your channel anymore. I have a beautiful Elgin automatic self winding watch that I received from my son in-law a very long time ago and I was never able to wear it because the 'seconds' hand kept getting stuck on the big hand, so for about 15yrs it sat in a drawer...until today. I got a Miyota movement similar to that at 11:35, but where you're pressing it, there is no little hole to press on mine. I can't find anywhere else to press! Does that mean I need to take off the plate with the 2 screws holding it down with Miyota labeled on it? This is driving me nuts!

It's crazy how small the mechanisms are now in these watches. Most of the watches are filled up with plastic support rings. Thought I had been ripped off when I opened the back of mine to find the same lol

Hi, i have a blancpain villeret 40mm watch in stainless steel 2 years old (2020) watch and i noticed that it is stiff when i try to wind it. It has 72 hours power reserve.
Example: When i wind it, it is tight..
I have to pull out the crown then i have to push it back in, in order for it to be buttery smooth when i wind it. It keeps excellent time BUT it is just stiff/tight if i wind it without pulling out the crown and pushing it back in first.. feels like resistance..
Any idea on what could it be? I dont have warranty.
My jlc reverso is so smooth , i dont have to pull out crown and push back in for it to be smooth wind.
Which type of silicone/oil for the crown gasket do you recommend?
