I had to tear down this movement recently. I am grateful that you had done this video. It took me a long time with many attempts to just get the gears to align properly with that top plate, and get those two screws in. Thanks for doing this. It inspired me to persevere.
At 1:00 when you removed the plastic part you missed a wonderfull opportunity to show the underside of that piece with all the circuit on it. I think this is where all the subdividing magic happens and this circuit then passes 1 pulse per second to the stepper motor.that drives the train of wheels.
Awesome video. Helped me put together the one that fell apart when I was trying to replace the battery. Now when I get the back plate back on it quits running. Any suggestions?
Pretty amazing little movements and they last for decades with almost no maintenance. They can produce these for a few $$ dollars U.S. or maybe not even that much.
I remember when quartz movements cost more than mechanical or automatic movements, now with mass production they are much cheaper to produce. Yes, they are pretty amazing.
You show great skill, dexterity. I would suggest you take the time to de-rust your tools for a better presentation. Thanks for covering the very movement I have. Great.
Awesome 😊... I like steel components in watch... I don't know why I have the plastic ones! I want to replace it with this kinda machine... Hope I'll find a good machine one day!
I have this movement in a Fishbone watch. It's losing about 30 seconds a day at the moment, but the watch is also over 18 years old and has been in the closet with a dead battery for the last 10 or 12 years. But this will be the first movement I will disassemble and clean. Are the small pins of the gears, which are in the upper plate, actually lubricated with some oil or is the part assembled completely dry? Definitely a great video and you are a real pro. Greetings from Germany.

how do I take out the wheel to change the time out of the motor. you conected it at the end but mine needs to pass through a whole on my watch and then connect it to the motor and now I cant take it out
That was an amazing job! Is it worth it, though? I know these movements are worth a couple USD, and i'm sure the cost of a job like this would cost a lot more than a new movement.
Wow, you pulled out it’s little guts and devotedly put them all back inside !! That’s true watchmaking that has nothing to do with brands or value, but the fact that a 3 dollar movement is what a watch should be a “ keeper of time” most watchmakers just throw it away and install a new one, never knowing if all it just needed was a little TLC. Thanks again 👍
I really appreciate your efforts! Just a quick off-topic question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (air carpet target dish off jeans toilet sweet piano spoil fruit essay). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
could you, please, show me where to get the technical drawings and specifications of the *7T35* caliber ?! I am very curious about this caliber, is this caliber really original from Miyota ?!
Are there any tricks on how to properly align the second hand with the dial indices other than trial and error? I must have set the second hand 20 times just trying to align the indices on the dial.
Thumbs up for the no talking and the mellow music. But, the rusty movement holder and the fibers all over your tweezers look positively dreadful and need remedied asap. Easy to do for anyone capable of this great work. You need to know it makes a BIG difference.
The very first step you show is removing a plate. I am unable to change the battery without removing this plate. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong?
It looks like you have to remove the plate. That's the mistake I made. After removing the plate various parts start coming apart.... This video helped me put it back together. If you watch towards the end when he puts the battery back in you can see that the top plate can be pressed out of the way to remove the battery. There's a little clasp that you can just push back and then pry the battery out.
