I know things are changing in my personal life, but I ask you not to take sides or make rash judgments. Before commenting on my new situation, ask yourself how it would feel if someone did it to you. After all, we're all just real humans (surprise surprise, I am too!). ❤ I really hope that Odyssey can rejoin us from the next video! Let's see if she arrives in Mexico whole and unharmed 😉
Joseph Campbell: "If what you are following, however, is your own true adventure, if it is something appropriate to your deep spiritual need or readiness, then magical guides will appear to help you…. If you are ready for it, then doors will open where there were no doors before, and where there would not be doors for anyone else. And you must have courage. It’s the call to adventure, which means there is no security, no rules."
You are so brave both physically and emotionally. I just ended a 6 month relationship with a woman I thought I could marry and the emotional toll it is exacting on me if far worse than any physical hardship I've endured. Stay strong, girl. A wise woman once said "The world is for the brave!"
I’m currently cycling around the world 🌍. And I can’t wait to sleep on the beach as well. Currently I’m in Poland at the Baltic Sea, it is beautiful here, but too cold to sleep outside. You are an inspiration Eva!
Hello Eva! Welcome to Mexico! I am sure you will love this beautiful country. We live in the Northeast of Mexico, if your tour includes these sites, and we can help you, you can let me know. Regarding safety, only pay attention to the comments of local people wherever you go and do not expose yourself to situations that feel dangerous. You'll be fine.
Thank you for being honest about your fear. So many content creators just pretend like everything is great and easy because ~adventure~ but it really does a disservice to the actual experience. Your honesty about your feelings is super appreciated and validating.
Inspiring as always! Love your spirit, your hair, and your adventurousness. May your travels heal your heart and may you have only the best experiences in beautiful Mexico!
Darling Eva, I do not presume to know your truths, but after a beautiful life of 59 years so far, the most potent truth I have learned is that it’s not where you are, but who you’re with. Be blessed. 🥰
Even in your weak moments you seem so strong. You're inspiring. After all I believe that's what you're channel really is about. Not about traveling but living your life to the fullest - whatever that means for you. Thanks Eva
scary of the negative write-ups about Mexico, esp. watching you walking around the beach and sleeping outside alone, but so amazed of your bravery and your guts, but leave not or inform you family your whereabouts just incase. But i luv watching all your videos, so full of surprises and entertaining...just luv what you're doing...hmmmm maybe except this, alone by yourself at night in this country.. Wish you good luck and enjoy your adventures ! 🤗
It is funny that all travel bloggers say the same terrible stuff and fears about visiting Mexico, and all of them end up falling in love with the country, its people, food, culture and places…. Mexico is just amazing and so much underrated! Looking forward to seeing you enjoy and fall in love with Mexico!!!
This episode reminded me of the nights I slept on the beaches of Odessa, Albania and Bulgaria. Listening to the sound of the waves. Thank you, thank you a lot Eva.
We love you Eva!! I think it’s also important to trust our intuition and not make decisions by fear of possible worse scenario. As a single woman I’ve trail blazed remote and inner city places on my own. Ive exercised this since I was a child trailblazing deep in the mountains. When I reflect on some of my adventures it actually is a bit scary BUT in those moments I felt alive and peace, trusted my instincts and left when I didn’t feel safe. I know you always do your research and I know you will always forge ahead with courage, spirit and instinct!
I loved the billion stars hotel. When I was younger, a group of friends would always go camping on the May 24th weekend in a secluded spot; the only thing there was fresh cold water and an old dam. Our first trip there, after walking through an apple orchard and through the woods for about 2 Kms, was so exciting for me because I grew up in the bush, literally. All my friends were nervous, but soon calmed down after I reassured them we were safe. We went to pitch our tent, but the friend who gave it to us played a trick on us and gave us a tarp! We soon settled down though, using the tarp as ground cover. We put our beer (best drink ever when you're underage) into the cold stream. We lit a fire and sat around, getting to know each other better by sharing our dreams and aspirations and our fears. It was the best "camping" trip ever. We'd repeat it each year on the May 24th weekend, and never brought a tent. We were so lucky that we never had bad weather; the scariest thing that happened was a friend falling against the old dam and cutting his head open. We weren't aware then that a cut on the scalp bleeds a lot, and we were ready to make the trip back into town to take our friend to the hospital. Long story short; we stayed and that weekend was the best one I've ever had with my group of friends. I often look back on that time in my life and wish I could go back in time to experience it again. My family eventually moved away and I fell into a deep depression because I knew I couldn't sustain the same friendship as I was too far away. Eventually the friendships changed as we grew apart, got married and had children. 50 years later, I still miss those friends a lot. Sleeping out in the open was something I continued to do and my Son now does the same. Whew, I already wrote a story and forgot the plot 😂
I'm 67. A single fringe woman. I've live in Santa Aria Haultulco in the state of Oaxaca. I'm on the coast. I walk at night alone, through town alone..I've never felt unsafe. Its glorious here and the people amazing. You do you ! .
Thank you Eva I love watching you on your travels . I'm 50 this year and going through a complicated break up . Any relationship changes Is really challenging. I am similar to you that challenging oneself and remembering what makes you unique is so important. I found Mexico in Feb for only 11 days but I'm returning in 2 months to continue my adventures.. I'm a nurse and have to conform to rules but anyone can take themselves out of their comfort zone with a bit of bravery and self belief .. safe travels 🙏
The more I watch your videos the more I fall in love with you. You are just so inspiring and pure! I have been following many travel bloggers, but without even second guess yours is THE BEST. Thanks for motivating us to come out of our comfort zone and be raw! Kudos to you.
💜For what it’s worth it’s important to care for a heart that is broken like what you did. Wishing that you find your true love someday, hopefully sooner than later in this ultra fast paced chaotic world-a strong and gentle love that always finds you and remains forever.
Good for you Eva, I take my hat off to you for sleeping out on the beach in a foreign country. It looks so natural & peaceful so it makes sense that you'd want to see what it feels like to sleep under the stars beside the ocean. I think your awesome for giving it a go in Mexico, well done you rock girl :)
My family used to always sleep outside on camping trips when my sister and I were small. Daddy showed us how to make our bed rolls all layered cozy just right with a cotton blanket for soft, wool for warmth and cozy, and everything folded just so that your feet would stay in. Daddy said it was all about stars and a tent would ruin it! I’ve felt too vulnerable to do that as an adult, but your video brought it all back. We had a tiny fire near our feet for the down light that let predating things know this was our space. I like your fairy lights touch. Stars below, and stars above! No wonder you slept nine hours!
Eva with the greatest respect I hope people dont glean from your video that its safe to sleep alone on Mexican beaches. I say this as a longtime traveller in Asia and South/Latin America. Is Mexico safe for a solo female? Yes, relatively. But is it safe for a solo female to camp on beaches? No. Not everyone trying it will get robbed/raped/beaten but a fair number inevitably will. I'd hate to be the person who encouraged them to try.
@luc124 she's a fabulous personality is Eva, and brave as a lion, only this video may be a bit unwise, if it encourages other people to follow her example. Mexico's a brilliant place full of tremendous people but there are some proper villains, maybe the best in the world!
I completely agree. This video is so irresponsible. Whether she likes it or not, she is a role model. You can get seriously hurt in Mexico. And need some common sense.
I agree. We all wish the world were a safer place. We all wish we could just take night walks, sleep on a beach (in a warm climate lol) and go anywhere we wish by ourselves. But sadly, that's not the reality. Proving that you're one of the lucky few who can get away with something rash and risky is sort of a hollow victory, especially if someone else tries it because you did it, and then gets hurt. Perhaps Eva hasn't yet attained sufficient social consciousness and deeper maturity to recognize this. It takes time. I truly wish her well. I do get where she's coming from. It sucks that bad people ruin things for the rest of us, that selfish, vicious criminals thwart our plans and ruin our enjoyment of our beautiful world. Honestly though, the best way to combat this is to get involved, take constructive action and really work to change the world for the better, any way you can.
I'm quite a social person and love meeting people but there's something so freeing about running away and doing something seemingly "crazy" like this all by yourself. Just you and the universe. Also I have to mention that 9:45 is an absolutely stunning shot 👌🏽 Great cinematography!
Mexico is amazing! Of course you need to be careful of spending time alone at night and not be surrounded by the wrong people … just as any country in the world! You will be ok ❤️
I loved you little point about leaving the beach cleaner than when you arrived! I loved that you gave us an example to follow. I for one will take an old plastic bag with me next time I go the beach to collect principally trashed plastic, but I will also rescue bottle tops too!
as a woman who has lived in Mexico for her entire life…eva you inspire me so much. lately, being a woman in this country has been getting more difficult, each day we live in fear of doing the things we love, we live in fear of not returning home. seeing you camping outside, enjoying nature and standing strong with all these little challenges is so inspiring and made me think that life is way too short to live in fear…so thank you for this. It's empowering to see you travel and do the things you love. I hope you stay safe and i will send good energy your way, i hope your heart heals and that you keep being happy
Adrenaline junkie always tempting fate aka death...Having travelled to mexico for thirty years , I agree with the comments below . Dont set yourself up for problems in Mexico by putting yourself in isolated situations without a backup plan...I think you can get your needs met in less unsafe ways .
I have been there as many times and have been pickpocketed and had bags stolen more than once,so I know there are bad guys out there hiding in the darkness.
I’ve slept on a beach without a tent only once many years ago, in Cadiz, Spain, but not alone. Slept in a tent with my other half of hundreds of nights hitchhiking around the world, but again, never alone. You’re so very brave 😊💛and it must have felt amazing. Looking forward to seeing you in your defender again! You’re going to have so many amazing adventures 😊
This is one of the reasons why I love watching your videos.you remind people to live life.in live beyond what we feel.it always reminds me to get out in live life.in life you get so caught up with everything you forget to live in not live the wrong why.like always eva love your videos.in thank you for sharing the beautiful mexico beach.i miss mexico beach
This was in beautiful Todos Santos in Baja California. What a place! Spent 2 beautiful weeks catching up on life / work and enjoying the ocean every day. 🙌
@@evazubeck It looks absolutely gorgeous and peaceful down there! Its so important to experience a place firsthand rather than going by other people’s opinions. I’m glad that you didn’t listen to the naysayers and followed your own gut instinct!
Todos Santos is a super safe place, there’s a lot of the so called “expats” living there. I think Mexico is beautiful, but I need to be honest in some places is not secure at all. Fortunately Eva has experience travelling and I really trust that she’ll not do something that would really put herself into a dangerous situation . There are some states in Mexico where I would not camp even if someone pay me a million dollars. I just want to make very clear a point, Mexico has a violence problem and specific with feminicides and I wouldn’t like that this problem is not acknowledged just as an attempt to probe that Mexico is safe. For sure this problem is more latent in some places and almost null in others. So, definitely there’s ways of making safe tourism in Mexico, but in the attempt of doing that don’t dismiss the voices of protest against violence that have been rising in Mexico during the last years.
I have to say I would go crazy without someone to talk too. Your very brave and you always go out of your comfort space. That would be very hard for me. That's why I love watching your videos. Because your doing it all for me. Keep the great videos!!! By the way... the end part of your video. Your very cute!!!
Amazing video! I'm sorry about the breakup but I'm glad it was drama free. You're truly brave and noteworthy and I'm glad I watch you. My family lives in Mexico and I look forward to my next visit. I also look forward to your next adventure. Cheers Eva.
tl;dw: She plays stupid to show that She 'brave'. Sorry Eva, but this can be very dangerous what you do on this video. Fo example at 1:50 the viewer can think that the whole Mexico is safe, there are tourist on the beaches, solo female traveler like you this can be very dangerous. I'm living in Supe Puerto in Peru, but my whole family is from Mexico (mostly from Oaxaca), and I do not recommend any tourist to visit Mexico without doing research about safety! There are many tourist and safe areas and many 'normal' areas. But if you turn the wrong way, it can be seriously dangerous. And to ignore this danger shows only naive and stupidity. I like you Eva and I like your videos, but show the world how it is, not your 'romantic' perspective, because it can cost a lives of people, who watched your videos and believed it all and with this perspective they can try to visit whole Mexico and lost their lives!
But on the other hand, If you really want to show that your are brave and the Mexico as a country is safe, let me know. I will recommend you some areas where you can sleep alone and show you brave side, if you'll survive of course.
Alina MacLeod posted on her YT channel a video a few months ago how she almost got robbed and shot at in Santa Marta, Colombia. It was a deserted stretch in the town, as deserted as the Mexican beach Eva zu Beck found herself on. I’m not saying every situation is dangerous for a single woman traveler but you never know and if your hunch tells you its unsafe, then leave! Better that than face a tragedy. And the other point is in Latin America, there are certain places a woman must go with a man for protection. That’s simply the way the culture is there. As a rule, I tend to dislike deserted places. I feel safer around crowds. Now in the small town where I live, being alone doesn’t bother me that much, I know what’s its like In a place I’ve lived for a few years, I can afford to take a measured, reasonable risk. I wouldn’t do that in a country I don’t know and where I can’t be sure how things are from one minute to the next. If I was a world nomad, I would put safety always at the top of my list. I’m not judging Eva or telling her how to live her life, just to remember the world in which we live is far from predictable and we should always be aware of our surroundings.
Thanks for sharing this beautiful experience Eva. I believe traveling is about being aware of our surroundings. It is also about being respectful of the country we are visiting. There is danger “everywhere” but if we practice caution, we do some planning, and precaution then we will be ok.
Love that you’re showing us what it’s like to travel as a solo female in Mexico. I feel like there is always such a negative view brought to it. Looks amazingly beautiful! I’m traveling with my pup in my suv around the U.S.. Even here people love to try to scare you and point out the danger in traveling alone as a female. Just have to take precautions and be aware but it’s a beautiful thing sometimes to travel alone!
It’s negative for a reason. She doesn’t even live here, it’s so arrogant and naive to think she knows better than people who literally live here everyday. And femicide is a real thing in Mexico, to be dismissive of that is so privileged. And it’s not just a female thing either, men are killed all the time no one should travel alone man or woman.
@@grayonthewater I agree. It my be possible to wild camp safely in Mexico, (or elsewhere) but the message the video sends is misleading. You can't just arrive as a foreigner, scope out a place on a short run and decide to camp out on the basis on some guy on the beach. For the first time in a new area, with other campers, with just a sleeping bag and just enjoying the night without falling asleep alone, would be better advice. Creating a video is often an abstraction from reality -- you do things just to get YT views. I do follow other wild camper YTers and they have gotten robbed and reported cases of even being killed -- in Europe.
@@grayonthewater Exactly. I love eva's videos, but hearing everything she said in the first half of the video was just heartbreaking. 'Trying to prove it wrong'.. its just dismissive of the issues. I had 5 family members murdered in their home this past year, and small rural towns in my state are being deserted. She could have brought awareness to the issues in mexico and acknowledged them instead of challenging them and almost romanticizing them. I honestly hope eva has a wonderful time in mexico and stays safe. It is so natural and cultural. But it doesn't disprove or prove anything about mexico.
Sorry to hear about your break up. You are such a strong and beautiful woman, you encourage a lot of people to try new things in life , exited to go through your journey together! Come to Minnesota the most beautiful state in the turtle island, God bless and safe travels! : )
You know Eva, I am fascinated by your life's journey. I recently found your channel. (Ukraine > Poland > Warsaw > Eva) I am going through your earlier videos because I have a question that I want to answer about what you are doing . The question is this: Are you running to, or running from? It is my hope that you are running to, but after watching this one I realized that there is also an element of running from. And I know all of the usual talk about it not being the destination but it's the journey. But I take a different tack. I think it's both. It's where we are going AND how we get there. But again, I have become quite curious as to what exactly (to the degree possible to know someone through videos and without Instagram) you are doing. And I am rooting for you to get there...
I first found your channel after odyssey was in American. Then this specific video was in my feed and I have to say I have a new respect for you Eva. Thank you for sharing your perspective.
You are gonna have a great time in Mexico. I hope you can visit the north, and south, these are like different countries in just one. Just be careful and follow your intuition, you're a strong wise soul ❣️
You've inspired me in so many ways. Traveling solo as a female, getting out of comfort zones, breaking barriers, taking challenges every single moment, and making most of it, the list goes on. More power to you Eva!💐💐
Glad you are doing this adventure. Showing that probability is not certainty, that if fear stop us, rather than encourage us to do things, we are already at a loss. Of course one must be careful but also bold. Wishing you the best on this Journey you are taking over this stunning country that México is.
As many people seem interested, I would like to open a few points about the beach safety (sleeping). First, it is not intrinsically dangerous. If the night is dark and a bad actor has to canvass a large area... they will not. I would say move camp once it is almost dark, so any spotter of late beach goers will not see you as an easy target. Do not spread the news in any shop or bar. Darkness early (no fire or similar) is a great idea. Move out of the direct sight from the shore, if possible. put your phone and small stuff in a bag and bury it before sleeping. I hope it sounds like basic common sense, because it is...
I haven't camped on the beach with no tent but I have camped on the side of a mountain in the Pacific Northwest with no tent. Actually I did bring a tent on my hiking trip, but our group got to the lake we planned to camp by so late at night that I just didn't feel like setting my tent up. It was a really warm night and I fell asleep to a great view of the stars. About half of us in the group sleep outside together.
Big Caution sleeping on some of the beaches in Mexico! The little No Seeums are called Sand Fleas, and their bite are worse than a flee. We had a family reunion a while back and one of the couples decided to have a romantic time on the beach. Next day they were covered head to toe with itchy and painful welts.
So sorry about the split up. I was certain that you will end up with each other as you both are fearless, have the same passion and love for wild adventure. Too bad! But still I admire your being so strong and brave. Hope your being in a place where you are now could give you peace and healing. Be safe and more power!
@@mariasalinas3248 I really feel bad since I’m an avid follower of them. And yes can’t think of any reason too. Hopefully soon they’d come into terms again😊.
I have always found the people of Mexico to be the kindest, and most generous hosts, and the country is beautiful. Like any country, it has it's problems, and areas to avoid, but over all, I adore it. Just do as you always do, and you should be able to safely enjoy yourself.
Very good, Eva! Yes, I always remove every single piece of plastic, tin, paper, whatever I find in the nature… let us put it in the trash! Otherwise it will end up in our food!
Sorry to hear about the split. In my late teens and early 20s I slept a few times like this on Greek sandy beaches during the summer and it does indeed get very cold; esp. around 04:00 I couldn't wait for the sun to rise and warm me up :-)
This video is only 14 seconds in and I am already cheering and applauding in my mind. So happy that Odyssey is finally almost finished making it across the ocean! I cannot wait for this series, and am looking forward to it so much! Only wish I did not have to wait another week or so to see more! lol You are so brave to sleep outside on the ocean like that! What a raw (like you said) and simple yet beautiful experience. And you are right - that is how it used to be, and in my mind how it should be in a perfect world. I honestly cannot wait to see Odyssey and you together again! Your videos of other people are beautiful, but the ones of you exploring, challenging yourself, and having your own adventures are my personal favorites. Will be looking forward to this immensely! Thank you for sharing Eva. :)
I slept on the beach without a tent a couple years ago in gallicia (northern spain) and it was incredible! There were falling stars and I woke up to the sunset with dolphins jumping in the distance! I would reccomend doing this atleast once to anyone! But be smart and bring enough lagers. When I was getting dressed for bed I realised I'd forgotten to pack some of my layers and I can tell you I was so cold, but it was still worth it haha
Beaming love to your good heart Eva, from NE Washington. No judgement. We're all growing and evolving together as one big human family on this Earth. May your spirit rise above all adversity and soar. God bless you sweet lady. 🥦☕
The oceans sings, I listen to it often and discovered I have a relationship with it. The space is important to realize not everywhere do they just let you sleep on the beach, be in the water and go where you want. Here in the US it’s like that, even if they tell you it isn’t.
I have been going to Mexico my whole life of 50+ years. I have never had problems. We used to camp on a beach and leave our generators, cars, and other valuables behind as we went fishing for hours. Not once did anyone steal our belongings. Where can you say the same here in the States? If you go down looking for trouble, you will find it. If you go down and be respectful of the culture and people, you will have a fantastic time.
Haha tell that to some of my family members that never came back home after two decades of being kidnapped...I I I I, great YOU were fine, the rest of us who know mexico well know better. You being lucky doesn't mean the rest are. Tell me how my missing family members are just exaggerating and they'll be just fine. They are dead and we can't even bury them. They had been to mexico before as well I live in a border town and they were from there. Their luck ran out. Thankfully YOU still have yours so you can speak like this...
I love how you said you are sleeping in a billion-star hotel as this is literally what you did. So much better than a 5 star one. Thank you for sharing this.
Hat's off to you ☺️, You're so brave that u are sleeping alone on the beaches, snowy mountains, forests and many more.... Amazing yrr... Love 😍💓 from Kishanganj,Bihar,India 🇮🇳🇮🇳
The thought of your relationship with Mike did came to mind at the start of this video. Talk about timely. Not being able to be together is tough. I hope the right one would be just around the horizon for you. At the mean time, continue to be yourself and enjoy every moment of it. :)
It’s kind of sad how everyone discourages going to Mexico because of some of the dangerous things that happen in certain places. Some places are very dangerous. You just have to do your research before hand and know what places are not safe to go. There’s so many amazing, caring, and loving people in Mexico. More so than a lot of other countries.
It's yet another example of how powerful the media is and how weak the mind can be. Everyone in the comments acts like being in Mexico = instant death. Do research on the area you're staying in and everything will be fine. Countless people are in Mexico alone and just fine. If they can do it an experienced traveler like Eva can too.
@@zeusv9804 very true when people talk like this about how certain things are so dangerous I like to compare it to driving a car. Driving is one of the most dangerous things we do. We fly down a freeway at 80 miles an hour everyday with thousands of people surrounding us doing the same thing. One wrong move and you are dead. We don’t here people say “stop driving it’s to dangerous”. It’s pretty ridiculous and honestly scary how the media can control us.
Thank you for all the work you put into your videos. It's brought out emotions I haven't felt in years. Your smile and laughter bring joy. sincerely thank you
Camping on a beach is really awesome without a tent. I really wonder that this is possible in India. So you finished your adventure on a Mexican beach. Congrats.❤️❣️
Eva, thank you for sharing. Sleeping next to the ocean is special and should be done often. Risk as you know is often just a change of pace. Enjoy young lady.
I recognized exactly where you are here. I lived right there, around the corner from that airbnb in LT for 16 months last year and walked to that beach all the time. I'd say it's about the safest place in the world there. Poco Loco on the corner has the best fish and chips 20p. I now live in Cabo San Lucas - also totally safe.
Eva I’m so jealous right now. I grew up sleeping on beaches and fishing all night. Oh how I miss the good old days. Thanks for another great vid. Enjoy the rest of your adventures. Best Tim
Hi!! I lived in Mexico for several years and go back often. It is a wonderful place. As I have seen others mention and what I mention to people and suggest to friends who ask about doing adventures in Mexico, talk to locals and people who know the areas to where you go, trust your gut, be mindful of your things and don't leave valuables in places that would be welcome for the taking, and be mindful of your surroundings and people. Finally, just be careful. In all honesty, I wouldn't suggest camping alone on a beach or if you do do it with other people and a safety measure in place. It is putting oneself at risk for not just problems with a human, a run in with a stray dog and in some areas the mosquitoes carry dengue. Also, it might not be legal in some places. Meanwhile, I am from Chicago and some of this advice is the same I would suggest. I would not sleep on a beach here!! Enjoy and be safe!!!
LOL...I was reading your post and I swear I thought to myself, "so basically, act like you're in Chicago"! Then I got to the sentence where you said you are actually from Chicago and now I'm cracking up. To this day, Chicago's the most dangerous place I've ever visited in the US, so it all makes sense.
As always you are such an inspiration, not just because you do all these incredible adventures, but I just love how honest and raw you are, you are just a beautiful soul Eva! Sorry to hear about the split and for you to share it with us must of been very vulnerable, I kinda of new something was up because I watch you all the time but your community loves you! I love your spirit and how you are processing all your raw emotions ..... you are just a lovely lovely human and I hope to meet you one day! I know your in Cali, I am in Costa Mesa, if you come this way you have a place to stay and I am a sound bath facilitator so I would love for you to receive a private sound bath! Safe travels Eva!
I love that you’re showing us your experience ✨💓and opening up🙏 I think that everything is about perspective. One day at a time. Can’t wait to see Oddesy 💓✨🙌🏽😘
It is like russian roulette: not every chamber contains a bullet, so the risk to die increases only over time and with repetitions. And for that, there is still an incredible risk in doing what you did, @Eva zu Beck. You just were lucky this time (and maybe a few more times in the future)... Most major crimes in the world happens out of opportunity. This time, nobody was there to find it a benefit when he/she/it would take advantage from you. In the big field of psychoanalysis your actions would probably be considered as a subconscious "deathwish"...
@@Justagirlwhotravels I just saw your video about Mexico from last year: You surely know the risks there (btw.: sorry to hear about something like that).
@@YeowooBBCVIP : I am pretty sure, this is quite a question of "where and how" you live in your home and "where and how" you wander in the nature.. So, statistically it seems to be more dangerous to wander in Mexico than staying at home in New York, Poland or Denmark. On the other side would it approximately be more dangerous at home in the Ukraine right now, than wandering through Nature in Mexico ;) And more abstract: Approx. 70% of all Deaths happens at home and nearly 90% of these Deaths happens a few hours after the Person has drink or eat something. This is the Consequence of many effects. One of them are related to the circumstances, that dying people often are sick or weak before dying and therefore are staying at home. And it should not be strange, that they are eating and drinking at all. Another one is called a "spurious correlation". Means, that sometimes things happens around the same time, but doesn't relate to each other. So,- Correlations aren't equal to causalities and both are very strong contextual related. This means, in the end - taking all these statistical/mathematical reflections into account - will it be much more dangerous in Mexico than in other Cities in the north, if you decide to camp outside alone (and especially as a woman).
Hi Eva!!! Mexico is a beautiful place and has a lot of culture but like any country it also has its danger. I don't recommend going out alone at night though and it helps to let someone know of your whereabouts because you just never know these days. Recently a young woman was killed in northern Mexico and it has become a major headline. Stay safe! Saludos Eva, que tengas un hermoso viaje! Cuidate mucho! ❤
While every country has its dangers, some are worse than others for solo travellers, especially solo women who are targeted more often. It is a bit silly to say you can 'prove them wrong' you might get away with it, but be careful you don't get someone else killed who sees this kind of video and thinks that there isn't a problem after all.
@Jen Duncan... What an idiotic thing to say! 🙄😂 If you get mugged on a beach or in a busy shopping mall... you don't blame it on a video you once watched on TH-cam! It is actually safer to sleep alone at night on a deserted Mexican beach than in a hotel room in Tijuana...
You're inspirational. You've chose to live life and not just exist. I'm glad to have found my way to your channel. I pass it on to others who are looking for the inspiration to just go out and live life. Far to many people will never experience the simple pleasure of just camping on the beach or the feeling adventuring. It's wonderful 🤙
Eva from a fellow adventurer to another, thank you for sharing your life with us. I traveled to PK recently and enjoyed your own videos of your trip. I stayed on the beach on Padre Island last year and did it remotely. There is nothing like sleeping with the ocean waves, constant wind, and the unique salt/organic smell. Your childlike openness to your experiences are very refreshing, and bless me. 💖
Thanks for making this Video! Love traveling to Mexico. I was shocked at how many people don’t leave their resorts and its sad the fear is holding them back from exploring more of the beauty Mexico has to offer! Videos like this will hopefully help some of those people move past the fear and adventure further! You are inspirational just found your channel you got a new subscriber! telling my friends too 💜
I've traveled to many countries alone, also through almost all of Mexico, Central and South America. Not once did I feel threatened or in danger - quite the opposite, people were lovely and so welcoming. Just like with any country, don't flash wealth and keep stuff safe. But South America and the likes have felt much safer than my current home in London can feel sometimes. It's a shame, people always reduce countries to something they've heard and it may prevent people from experiencing them just because of some fear mongering. Hopefully more people will go and see places for themselves rather than relying on those few instances of where a bad incident happened. Enjoy your trip, I love this part of the world and can't wait to go back at some point and follow along what youll experience :)
This whole video made me nervous. Anything can happen to a woman while she is sleeping out in the open alone in a secluded location (crime of opportunity).
Thank you for the message about picking up trash. I packed someone else’s propane cylinder out of the Sierra’s. Never understood why people think they can just leave their trash behind.

It's a pleasure to have you in mexico, don't listen to others we are not all bad actually most of us are very friendly and would help out a complete stranger in need... Please travel to chihuahua if you can
Always watching your new blog😍😍😍 all the way from Philippines .. Your smile make me smile too🥰😍❤️i love the way you smile 😍 Take care always Ms. Eva❤️❤️❤️God Bless
Lovely video. Sorry about your breakup. You are discovering who you are, and someone will find the new you. Looking forward to more of your adventures!
I know things are changing in my personal life, but I ask you not to take sides or make rash judgments. Before commenting on my new situation, ask yourself how it would feel if someone did it to you. After all, we're all just real humans (surprise surprise, I am too!). ❤
I really hope that Odyssey can rejoin us from the next video! Let's see if she arrives in Mexico whole and unharmed 😉

Ahhh I'm excited for you! That sounds like such a cool adventure!

Exactly. Listen the advice of the locals and enjoy Mexico 😍
I'm sorry too hear that, it really sucks for both of you, no matter how brave you are. Glad to see you haven't lost your wit or drive.
Thank you so much!
Darling Eva,
I do not presume to know your truths, but after a beautiful life of 59 years so far, the most potent truth I have learned is that it’s not where you are, but who you’re with. Be blessed.
Actually a friend of mine went missing in Mexico 8 years ago and is still missing.
I have always dreamed about traveling, but because of you, am everywhere.
Thank you for sharing!!
What a beautiful story, would've liked to hear more of it.

It looks so natural & peaceful so it makes sense that you'd want to see what it feels like to
sleep under the stars beside the ocean. I think your awesome for giving it a go in Mexico,
well done you rock girl :)
Camping on a sandy beach would be fun and amazing experience. You did it under a starry sky and braved the elements. Hats off.
Agree
@luc124 she's a fabulous personality is Eva, and brave as a lion, only this video may be a bit unwise, if it encourages other people to follow her example. Mexico's a brilliant place full of tremendous people but there are some proper villains, maybe the best in the world!
I completely agree. This video is so irresponsible. Whether she likes it or not, she is a role model. You can get seriously hurt in Mexico. And need some common sense.
i have to agree. MX isn't what it used to be. Unless you are wealthy you can get into situations that will be difficult to escape from... good luck
Couldn't agree more!
@ManInAmerica no its not
Exacly, as any other country.
@ManInAmerica like Detroit, Saint Lous or New Orleans...
I loved you little point about leaving the beach cleaner than when you arrived! I loved that you gave us an example to follow. I for one will take an old plastic bag with me next time I go the beach to collect principally trashed plastic, but I will also rescue bottle tops too!
I’m sorry to hear about you and Mike, you guys made such an amazing couple. You’ll be okay though. I wish you all the best!
as a woman who has lived in Mexico for her entire life…eva you inspire me so much.
lately, being a woman in this country has been getting more difficult, each day we live in fear of doing the things we love, we live in fear of not returning home.
seeing you camping outside, enjoying nature and standing strong with all these little challenges is so inspiring and made me think that life is way too short to live in fear…so thank you for this.
Lol I just don’t see the point of going to sleep on the beach when you have an AirBnB and a bed. What exactly are you trying to prove here, Ewa Zubek?
I have been there as many times and have been pickpocketed
and had bags stolen more than once,so I know there are bad guys out there
hiding in the darkness.

I guess all the families living in Mexico are adrenaline junkies.
I’ve slept on a beach without a tent only once many years ago, in Cadiz, Spain, but not alone. Slept in a tent with my other half of hundreds of nights hitchhiking around the world, but again, never alone. You’re so very brave 😊💛and it must have felt amazing. Thank you for showing us around BEAUTIFUL Mexico! It’s great to see options for solo female travelers! I can’t wait to get down there! ☀️☀️☀️
Solo female traveler and longevity don*t fit together in the same sentence. That*s why God gave us heaters.
Cheers Eva.
Stay safe Eva. Love your string lights. Don't worry about what others say or think. This is your adventure. Just take care of yourself.
This looks incredible! Thank you for taking us along with you!
You are loved a lot more for each of these videos, No other videos I am looking up to other than yours, what crazy thing Eva is upto next.
Love you.
tl;dw: She plays stupid to show that She 'brave'.
I’m not judging Eva or telling her how to live her life, just to remember the world in which we live is far from predictable and we should always be aware of our surroundings.
anything for attention
I couldn't agree more! Taking precautions is always a must, but I love that you don't let others' projected fear affect your decisions ☺
@@evazubeck totally, fear shouldn’t control us
It’s negative for a reason.
You are living my dream life Eva, I want to say that always be thankful for what you have. You are one of the luckiest people ...
Ave Nue Saco, my thoughts exactly! They seemed so perfect for each other...can't think of or assume any reason why it ended...sigh

Eva, i'm glad to see your bravery. I think you open the eyes of a lot of people. Follow your HEART!!
In my late teens and early 20s I slept a few times like this on Greek sandy beaches during the summer and it does indeed get very cold; esp. around 04:00 I couldn't wait for the sun to rise and warm me up :-)
I did the same when we missed the last ferry.
This video is only 14 seconds in and I am already cheering and applauding in my mind. So happy that Odyssey is finally almost finished making it across the ocean! I cannot wait for this series, and am looking forward to it so much! Only wish I did not have to wait another week or so to see more! lol
You are so brave to sleep outside on the ocean like that!
I don't think that's how humans lived in the past, we always had to have some sort of protection from the outside world, predators and the elements.
Just what I was thinking. Caves, woods, we always made shelter of some sort...
"We" vs "I" - dont encourage irresponsibility in the name of adventure...
You would be very unwise to do that these days!

The thought of your relationship with Mike did came to mind at the start of this video. Talk about timely. Not being able to be together is tough. I hope the right one would be just around the horizon for you. At the mean time, continue to be yourself and enjoy every moment of it. :)
You are a very brave person. You've experienced life even in ways that even I would balk at. You are strong and courageous.
Always good to se the video is out , because then we know that you are alright!
It’s kind of sad how everyone discourages going to Mexico because of some of the dangerous things that happen in certain places. Some places are very dangerous. You just have to do your research before hand and know what places are not safe to go. There’s so many amazing, caring, and loving people in Mexico. More so than a lot of other countries.
most are here in the states now..............lol
@@scubaguy5389 yes.. many nice Mexicans living in the US.. but 125 Million very nice and warm people living in Mexico.. just fyi..
Everywhere is dangerous in Mexico, that's the problem!
Are you comming to Greece in your plans?
I recognized exactly where you are here. I lived right there, around the corner from that airbnb in LT for 16 months last year and walked to that beach all the time. I'd say it's about the safest place in the world there. Poco Loco on the corner has the best fish and chips 20p. I now live in Cabo San Lucas - also totally safe.
Sad to know about u and mike😥
Power on eva!
Eva
I’m so jealous right now.
I grew up sleeping on beaches and fishing all night. Oh how I miss the good old days.
Thanks for another great vid.
Enjoy the rest of your adventures.
Best
Tim
I love that you’re showing us your experience ✨💓and opening up🙏
I think that everything is about perspective. One day at a time. Can’t wait to see Oddesy 💓✨🙌🏽😘
We are here for the universe to experience itself through our eyes. I am so happy that you are living life the way it should be.
I cannot agree more, perfectly put
@@Justagirlwhotravels I just saw your video about Mexico from last year: You surely know the risks there (btw.: sorry to hear about something like that).
You actually have more risks of dying in your own home than in wandering in nature to the hand of a criminal. Just a different perspective.
@@YeowooBBCVIP : I am pretty sure, this is quite a question of "where and how" you live in your home and "where and how" you wander in the nature..
So, statistically it seems to be more dangerous to wander in Mexico than staying at home in New York, Poland or Denmark. On the other side would it approximately be more dangerous at home in the Ukraine right now, than wandering through Nature in Mexico ;)
And more abstract: Approx.
I couldn't sleep on the playa comfortably by myself even with my trusty.38.
@@Globetrotter-1 You'd be wrong about that, maybe dead wrong, try it sometime.
@@rick-be you need to get out more! 😂 I've slept wild in 💯 different countries. I don't listen to wimps. 😉
@@Globetrotter-1 I've done it too,but I'm not a little woman alone.
Just came from Mexico. What an amazing country! Hope to cross your soul somewhere in the world, Eva
Crazy. I fly there on Monday!
You are soooo on point! Happy adventuring ❤️
I’m happy you are safe from the snow storms from the south. Enjoy Mexico!!
Eva you now look like a french, sound like a british, but true to your heart you are wild as a free spirit...
Ahah love it! Thanks x
God Bless you Eva, stay safe and sorry to hear about your breakup 💔
This whole video made me nervous. Anything can happen to a woman while she is sleeping out in the open alone in a secluded location (crime of opportunity).
Thank you for the message about picking up trash. I packed someone else’s propane cylinder out of the Sierra’s. Never understood why people think they can just leave their trash behind.
-- Joseph Campbell: "If what you are following, however, is your own true adventure, if it is something appropriate to your deep spiritual need or readiness, then magical guides will appear to help you…. If you are ready for it, then doors will open where there were no doors before, and where there would not be doors for anyone else. And you must have courage. It’s the call to adventure, which means there is no security, no rules."
Love Campbell ❤️ Thank you for sharing!
So what was more difficult - sleeping on a beach in Mexico without a tent or in stormy cold Antarctica with a tent? 😅
Or on the island of rats 🐀! 😮
Great question 🤔
Your Videos are really comfortable to watch with all the camerawork, music and your narration. Amazing!
