Great results and good method of application. I finally put a air purifier in my hobby room and that has helped with the dust in the air and I always wet down paper towels and put into my spray booth before spraying

Very nice video! I like your recording studio look. I very much appreciated your sharing of the dust mishap and I’d surely would like to see a video on using CA glue to close seam lines.
Great video as always. I did buy my 2k varnish from the auto part store, then i got a liter of the stuff for about 50euros. Thats much cheeper than the small hobby jars
Yes, most 2Ks are urethane, but it's not the paint that can be the issue, it usually whatever solvent it's suspended in that can be the problem. Just stressing to be careful is all. 😁
I use tamiya surface primer for my gundam kit. However, the primed surface is kinda grainy, no matter what I do, the gloss black base coat I applied on the primed surface are not very glossy. Any advice guys?
Hey, I'm sorry to hear that. Try sanding the primer down a bit with 1000 or higher sand paper. Test it on a spoon first to see if that works. If not, you might need to thin it way down and build up the layers. Best of luck! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Hey Jamil! Great question! If you use a metallic paint instead of a silver/chrome base and clear coat. You end up with a metallic paint rather than a candy paint. I'm actually working on a video like this right now, so check back on the first Friday of the new year! 😁
Hey, great question. It's already pre thinned and have bottles have PSI recommendations too! 😁 Thank you so much for watching and comment and I wish you the best of luck!
Hey, great question! I haven't had any experience with them, but from what I've heard, I think so! The 2K gloss CAN be polished so I think it'll work, but as always, test it on a spoon or something before going for it on a kit! 😁
Damn, didn't expect that 2K can be thinned with lacquer. Thanks, I gained new knowledge. By the way, I saw you switching between lacquer, water-based chrome, and 2K. Do you find it difficult to clean? And is acetone the solution?
Hey thank you so much! The SMS 2K can be thinned with lacquer thinner because it's a lacquer paint. I believe the Splash is as well, but it definitely doesn't need it. As far as cleaning goes. It really wasn't a problem since it was a full day between coats, so I took the time to deep clean it. Since everything was lacquer, I just soaked my airbrush in lacquer thinner. Don't forget to remove all the rubber O-rings first!
Hey there. These are lacquers which comparatively are stronger than acrylics like Vallejo and Tamiya. Now they won't stop someone with a hobby knife and determination, but will definitely survive a fall onto some hard flooring. Hope this answers your question. I wasn't entire sure what you were asking. 😆
Dude the Colors are Bad Ass on Megamon X I love it. Also gotcha keep dust & debris off while paints drying 👍👍. Yo may wanna invest in class cases cause trust me no matter how much you dust the place it just settles back down again 🙁. Anyways have you heard of Kamen Rider? Kind Regards AuraKnight
Hey, thank you so much! I do have a glass case for my finished projects. Some projects are on my shelf, but most of them are nice and enclosed. 😁 I have heard of Kamen rider, but just haven't found a kit I wanted to do yet.

A constructive criticism: tone down the hand gestures as it gets a bit distracting. Excited to see you grow as one of the best gunola TH-camrs!
Hey Ronald, thank you so much for checking out my channel. I will try to be more aware of my hands in the future. I just get really animated when I'm excited. 😆

Nailed it!
I appreciate it dude. 😁
What PSI do you spray at for the black gloss coat? I always struggle with getting a perfectly smooth coat

That's awesome. Just be careful with automotive paints. Some can still be considered too strong for plastic.

question if i use a metallic paint instead of that alclad paint for last step after the ultra clear coat will it still be candy finish ?

Epic bro, yea, what super glue did you use?
Hey, thanks dude! This was the MadWorks glue that they had at MiniQ! 😁
Question: would using Tamiya's polishing compounds make the surface even more reflective, on top of this method?
Hey, great question! I haven't had any experience with them, but from what I've heard, I think so! The 2K gloss CAN be polished so I think it'll work, but as always, test it on a spoon or something before going for it on a kit! 😁
