First video I saw that shows how to use the airbrush trigger! Way to go, man! Also, you nail the way to a good airbrush job: practice, practice, practice. And do not be afraid of making mistakes. It’s the best way to improve. Ciao!
Ok, I only have the GSI Gundam Marker Airbrush System, but this is still incredibly informative! I haven't used it yet, but I think this video has inspired me to practice with some spoons! Thank you for sharing!
I bought a cheap kit and airbrush it for the first time. i definitely over sprayed it. Thankfully the paint was a little forgiving. This video will definitely help me, thank you.
Hey, thank you so much! I hope it makes airbrushing seen less daunting. It's probably some of the most fun I have in the hobby. 😁 If you need any more help or have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
I guess my question would be is doing the tacky coat for all paints prime and base or just spray normally for a primer and then tacky and wet coat the base colors?
Hey dude! Great question! I find better adhesion when I do tacky then a wet, but you can go straight to wet layers if you're not planning on touching and moving too much. Less paint overall. 😁
Hey there! Great question! That usually depends on a number of things like temperature and humidity. I say longer is always better and my safe recommendation is overnight or about 8 hours. It's possible to start sooner, but test it out first Before trying to push the cure times on a kit. 😁
Did you thin your alclad chrome or any of your paints before airbrushing? I'm looking for a video about types of paints, thinning ratio, types of thinners, airbrush psi for different types of paints. Thanks
Hey dude. Great question. For the Alclads, no thinner needed and PSI recommendations are on the bottles! 😁 If you pick up the Gpaint V2 (which I highly recommend for starters) that doesn't require thinner OR primer and goes on well at around 25 PSI. Hope this helps. You can order these paints from The Gundam Place Store! 😁
Hey there. Great question! A tacky coat is not a replacement for priming. The tacky coat helps the paint to adhere to the primer better and can help prevent reactivation of the primer from spraying too wet too quickly. Also if you go straight into wet coats, you have a small chance that the paint will just sit on top and not really grab onto the primer. Think of it as like a binding layer between the primer coat and base paint coat. Hope this helps and best of luck! 😁

Thank you airbrush senpai!

Have u used Tamiya's liquid primer for airbrushing? If so, tips/tricks/thinner used and ratio/feedback please.
Thanks for posting!
No problem! Let me know if you have any questions or need any help. 😁

@@PlamoTherapist for both prime and base?
I recommend for both, but skipping the tacky for your paint layer can be done and is more forgiving than skipping it on the primer.
Great video. How long do you wait between coats?

first I've ever heard of a "tacky" coat. Is this an alternative to priming?

4-5 inches?
But it looks like 4-5cm on video.
