    Purchased my very first Tesla 3 2024 model today. CANNOT wait for delivery. Car makers have had 20 years to develop their technology to this level, but have all been in cahoots releasing trickle upgrades, and have failed. Now they are in full panic mode to catch up to Tesla. No sympathy, whatsoever. GO ELON!

    Wired charging efficiency is about 95%. Wireless charging efficiency is about 80%. So each time you fill up a cybertruck wirelessly with 100 kwh of electricity, poof there goes an extra 15 kwh of electricity compared to wired charging. Over the course of 1,000 battery cycles. That’s 15,000 kwh wasted. At my local electricity rate, that is $3,150 then add in an extra $2,000 for wireless charging hardware and you’ve wasted $5,000. Is it worth $5,000 to be able to wireless charge at home? Not for me.

    • @ascherlafayette8572

      @Wol747 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Exactly. The 15 seconds it takes to plug/unplug at home isn’t any issue. Public chargers are vulnerable to vandalism and copper thieves so inground wireless inductors make sense so long as they don’t have to mechanically raise up to get close to the receiver which would introduce all sorts of grit and corrosion problems.

    • @EnriqueThiele
      @EnriqueThiele หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yes. They work by geofencing. It needs an area to be photogrphed and update it continuosly. Had a lot of code, and a lot of sensors, and very long computer code. Code will not work as it needs and "if" quations for all driving posibities. Tesla abandomed 300,000 lines of code. Waymo with a lot more sensors will require even a larger code. The car will stop to a halt not knowing what to do if the road changes. The Tesla softwarer 12.X.X works everywhere and it is based on AI. Tesla was limited on computer power to do all the visual training. yesterday Tesla anounced it was no more computer constrained. It will not take more than a few months more for the permit apploications to be filled.

    What is the use-case for auto-park? It seems like a very narrow one and more of a gimmick than something most drivers are anything about. The same for wireless charging, but perhaps to a lesser extent. For home charging I do not see wireless charging being a thing, unless you are into making your energy footprint larger (vis-à-vis the inefficiencies of wireless charging and the relatively large magnitude of EV charging as a percentage of home energy needs)

    My MS with FSD will park accurately but so glacially and with much wheel juggling and long pauses that it’s effectively useless in anything but a deserted parking lot with no other vehicles to stir into road rage. Given the speed of computational I can’t see what is the issue making the system so poor.

      You do understand that the 20k premium on the truck is a means of controlling demand while they dial in the production and reach a degree of scale? You’re not obliged to buy one at the introductory price. You’re welcome to wait until they’re pumping them out at speed and pay a lower price. This is how this works! Without price adjustments they’d be committed to selling at least a
      million from day one and would take five years to produce them. Who wants to wait years (on top of the initial wait we’ve already had for production to starts)?

      If you expected the Cybertruck to be the same price as announced in 2019 now after 4 1/2 years later and the high inflation of the last 2 years then you are seriously delusional. Can you name anything that is the same price now as in 2019?

    Absolutely 0 confidence in the POS Elon/Tesla has turned the cars into with "Vision". Wipers now starts when AP are activated if theres just a small amount of clouds. Var breaks for SO many things not needed, accelerating intermittent 10 Mph above speed limit on CC alone where it should never be able to change speed above selected. CC/AP still cant keep speed after Tesla ruined the car by disabling the radar in my property meaning below 500 Yards visibility on an empty straight road the car intermittent shows "Reduced speed due to limited visibility" and with 300 yards visibility it will do a max. of 4 (Four!) Mph. All as it should be according to Tesla.
    Tragic sad joke and i know SO many here in Scandinavia that are just waiting for their loss of value reduces and then they will never ever even consider becoming a beta-tester for a mad guy again.

    Too many promises from Tesla too soon, build quality in terms of body panels is still poor, having do dealership means you are reliant on a Tesla Customer Service agent, I have 2 Tesla's only because its tax efficient for my corporation, personally I would not recommend or buy a Tesla.

      Not the case at all here in Australia- Teslas made in China are excellent quality, we have Tesla Service centres nearby, and Tesla support and mobile mechanics are great 👍

      False. I've owned a 2019 and now a 2023 M3 and the build quality now is excellent. Service is impeccable.

    Tesla will be sorry they waited so long to release the Juniper Y with its real improvements. The other so-called improvements are just "fluff"...like putting lipstick on a pig(same crappy suspension, same road noise, same sticky non-ventilated seats) Look at the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5. I was going to wait for the Juniper Model Y (who knows when that will be a reality in the US), but may end up ordering the Ioniq this fall

      This waiting game is never-ending with Tesla. They're constantly changing their new cars, so there will always be something to wait for.

      Be aware of all the problems Hyundai/kKa have with their batteries, and have to go to the dealewr. Also in Canada dealers have been refusing to applyb the battery pack warrantee.
