    Ryan, I see this video is over 4 months old, so not sure if you’ll see this comment, but just in case you do, I have a comment about something you mention in this video. You spoke about how hard adjusting the climate controls is. Well, I just finished watching another channel where the guy gave 18 voice commands to control your Tesla. One of them was using voice control to not only open the climate control screen, but also to control turning on the AC/Heat, aiming the vents, fan speed, turning on/off AC for the passenger… that channel showed how so much that owners do by going to the screen can actually be accomplished through voice control.

    • @aaronosheaarchery
      @aaronosheaarchery 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I second this. I always use voice command for climate control and it works really well.

    After 9 months I found I could turn on side cameras in reverse by putting the Tesla in reverse and sliding up in the dark area below the reverse camera. It is saved in the profiles.

  • @TheDannyHamilton

    No need to hit SAVE multiple times when setting up your profile. Just set your seat, other preferences, and then mirrors and steering wheel. Then hit SAVE just once after all of it is set up. It'll save all the settings at once.

    I think a lot of people don’t know about the customizable control of long pressing the left scroll wheel on the steering wheel. There are many things people are like “ugh I wish there was a button for…” but there is, you just have to pick what that button controls (cameras, wipers, climate, fan speed, driver mode settings, etc.) it’s really well thought out. I only like teslas more after diving into all its details.

    Another great feature of the power lift gate is you can manually push the hatch fully so you don't hit your head in instances when clearance permits. The next time you open the hatch, it will remember your pre-set height so it doesn't hit anything when you're back home.

    The reason you also have to add the phone in the bluetooth settings, is the phone that's connected is the Tesla app. Bluetooth is for connecting to the phone itself for bluetooth audio and other features. They are separate things.

    For things like safety (for example, forward collision), I would recommend your viewers to start off with the more aggressive option first and then adjust it later on. Since the more aggressive options are arguably the safer options, it’s better they remain on them if they do not impede on their normal driving habits.

    09:20 What are off peak hours? We have here Day Ahead hourly spot market prices. Lowest prices are usual at midday on a sunny day in summer or in the night at a windy day in winter.
    09:28 at 9 pm are usual the highest prices of a day.
    14:55 Can I set speed limit mode and have still maximum acceleration? Manual states only reduced acceleration.
    The reason is, I could use winter tires limited to 210 km/h without a 210 km/h sticker on the dashboard.
    17:12 Is there no temperature choice for overheat protection?
    17:38 I see at wheel configuration 18". Is this a standard option in the US? I ask, because not available in Austria and 235/55 R18 winter tires are much cheaper than 255/45 R19

    Thanks Ryan, another great video. On the speed limit offset: a percentage is not "necessary." People will go around you, just stay in the slow lane. I like not having to think at all about radar and speed traps, not to mention the efficiency of driving at the speed limit rather than over.

    • @MrBrander
      @MrBrander 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Those are good points. Other side of the coin is that when you're following the flow of traffic it is nicer for everyone and causes less frustration for others when you are not consciously trying to make the smooth flow of traffic less smooth. Also even as simple as meter error might require you to adjust that so your actual real world speed matches the speedlimit instead of just your speedometer matching the speedlimit.
      Here in Finland, I personally prefer driving with the flow of traffic instead of consciously trying to slow everyone down and cause a traffic jam that way.

    Easy entry is an excellent option but unfortunately, a passenger behind the driver will find it to be a tight fit when the feature is active. I have that passenger wait until the driver’s seat moves to my saved position, before they get in. Same procedure on exiting. Get out before easy entry activates. But does everyone already know this? 😀
    Another option for estimating range is to pull up the energy screen and look at the right side of the display. There you will find the number of estimated remaining miles (I believe) based on your current driving conditions. Don’t know how accurate it is since I have yet to do a trial run, but I have noticed it seldom agrees with the % charge/miles remaining readout. YMMV

    There needs to be a two position memory for the passenger. Huge difference from my son to my wife in seat settings. I have a serious problem with my tesla. Originally the car couldn't see anything on the road except lines.
    They fixed this and said it was a firmware issue. But now it seems laggy and makes decisions slowly. For example if I'm driving down the road it won't see people or cars unless I slow way down.
    Tesla has been a pain to work with and I feel like they dont want to fix the problems.
    What do I do? I spent 93000 on a Y performance and got it 3 weeks ago.

    Do you have to change the settings for the phone each time you upgrade. My car I have to mess with it for the Bluetooth for the phone to play music each time I get a new phone. Wouldn't be good to be unable to access or drive because you just got a new phone.

    Good morning Steve,
    A technical question. Yesterday, I installed the Spigen screen protector. I followed the preparation & installation exactly. Following my restarting the screen, the icons for the phone, rear camera, etc., located at the bottom of the screen appear frozen. Everything else operate without any concern. Any recommendations to resolve this issue?
