Hi there , I got married and brought my wife to the Uk, after Six months when she arrived I became British citizen, that she still have to go through the 5 years route or 3 years?
Hi @asiamahyeboahfelix6687, Assuming your wife was granted the partner visa on the 5 year route to ILR (which is standard), ILR cannot be applied for after 3 years in the UK despite you recently becoming a British citizen. I hope the above helps. Best regards, The Migrate.org.uk team.
Hi @lerissarodrigues4929, Those with pre-settled status who are from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein who started living in the UK before 1 January 2021 can sponsor their partner's UK partner visa application under what is known as "Appendix FM".
