I felt like leaning across the desk and saying "listen mate, why would we want to live in Canada when we are lucky enough to live in Australia?". The guy let us in but then when we finished the cruise, we ended up with the same guy when heading back to the USA. He couldn't work out why his signature was in our passports! It wasn't hard - he signed them when we came in from the USA! Had to go through the whole rigmarole of where we'd been, what we'd done etc, because the cruise was an Alaskan cruise. He eventually figured it out.

When I was studying in the UK in the 90s, I asked for a certification/documentation from the university stating that I am a enrolled as a full time student before traveling overseas. I am glad that I did because the immigration did ask for that when I returned. Of course if you are a bogus student enrolled in a fake university (or a real college but you are a fake student) you will not get such documents.

People from my country and countries like mine do so many things to scam the systems of so many countries that our passports might as well be made of low quality toilet paper.

Australia detected over 600 fraud cases from Hariyana and Punjab in 2022. Agencies in New Delhi were arrested. Even very recently, some universities have resorted to impose blanket bans on indian students. Some have shut down english language programs for indian students and have placed restrictions based on age/marital status.
700 indian students were found with fake offer letter in canada only last year.
In USA, an Indian student spectacularly forged transcripts, testimonials and even own father’s death certificate (who was very much alive) to get a full ride in an uni.
The rampent fraud done by the community when it comes to h1b, LMIA, IELTS etc is now known worldwide. Even some of the comments point it out how forged credentials are used by the people of that particular nation very often.
The facts speak for itself. Let’s not act holier than thou when you have your own house to clean.
