It really shows your attention to detail and learning your new plane....Even doing a voice over instead of trying to talk to the camera while learning your new plane. Looking great!
Nose heavy ain’t she? I use 2 swipes of trim wheel nose up on short final. May have to push slightly nose forward initially but makes the flare with 1 hand easier. Also 100# in the rear baggage area helps. Love the Dynon panel.
Trust me it will take more than the 10 hrs that the insurance company requires to get comfortable in the plane. Not only do things happen faster and you need to learn to think that much further ahead of the airplane, you now have two of everything and you went from fixed pitch propellers to constant speed propellers and turbo charged engines. Don't forget you are flying downwind faster than most of the single engine piston aircraft trainers cruise at I'm sure you will do fine just make sure you are comfortable before putting yourself in challenging conditions.
In the pattern, concentrating, you are a pilot in the zone. Multi is a notch up in the taking care of business attitude and you got it Kay. Well done! Thanks for sharing. Cheers...
Thanks for bringing us along on your initial familiarization flights. You are to be commended tor that! Most would say that they needed to become familiar first, and then start filming later, which leaves out an important part of the story. You are brave enough to show the familiarization process which makes the resulting information more complete and accurate. Nobody starts off being an expert but that is where the more timid start their story. Congratulations on being more accurate in your depiction!!! Thanks for your high level of integrity!! You go girl! Do not let anybody shame you for your integrity!!!
Hey Kay I always wanted to be a pilot I’m 60 years old and I never got to accomplish the dream but watching you inspired me as well as others and I love your channel and God bless you and keep making more videos because you just made those dreams come true. again God bless you and take care and learn a plain girl.
Excellent! You have a history of superior ADM and you are always ahead of your airplane. You and your Seneca will be like old friends before you know it and we look forward to your adventures and videos!
I loved the video and watching you on your latest adventure in your Seneca III, Piper plane... The last time I was in a Seneca III was when my husband and I flew down to Florida from Pennsylvania with John Piper to help with their horses... Have fun Kay... Mellanie Boone
Congratulations Kay. You take flying seriously based on your knowledge and attention to detail. You parents raised you right, and should be very proud of your accomplishments.
I think I told you already. My brother in law owned this model. I sat right seat many times. Awesome aircraft. He leased it back to the airport and never had to make one payment on it. Once it was paid off he donated it to a South American mission and then bought a Bellanca.
First thing I noticed was the Instructor with his hands on the controls on takeoff. Then he messed with the mixture and prop right after takeoff. Then he had his hands on the controls on landing. I am a retired Delta Captain and a CFI. I was also a Line Check Airman that flew with new Captains and First Officers. I always had my hands close to the controls but never ON the controls. The pilot flying can feel you there. No professional crew member will put up with that.
I’m amazed how well and careful you proceed with your new plane. I’m don’t know you but I’m actually feeling proud! Well done; I hope you will experience lots of safe and satisfying hours in this one. 👍👍
Nicely done Kay! Yes, please take is slow and steady and learn everything you can about your new airplane. I never want to see you as one of those statistics after having moved on to a bigger and faster plane. 😍
Train well, practice emergency procedures, know your airplane, and have fun! Learn the lessons of recent multi enine accidents. If you lose an engine, sometimes it's best to pull the other one back and land. And understand Vmca/stall speeds for the twin. Did I mention have fun?!
I suspect 50-60 hours will be required to get comfortable, especially because you’re combining a much faster airplane with a whole new panel. I really like the voice-over. Too many TH-camrs try to do too many things at once, which really compromises safety.
Good job editing a clear day takeoff (2:01) into your overcast day takeoff lol. I thought the landing was pretty smooth. Lots of wind to deal with....working that yoke hard. Very happy for you that you are able to do this move up. You are a very accomplished young woman.

kay thats a very nice piper seneca twin and i did not know you had your multi rating. very nice and enjoy your twin seneca and that panel looks great. i miss flying alot well i lost my medical being a diabetic but i have a few hr,s in your airplane and again congradulations and you go girl. mark
Wow Kay, Well done. You did training of your new airplane so well. I like your first training in your new airplane. You can drive any airplane very successfully Kay
Great video. That was a lot of work. You were constantly inputting on the steering to get the plane to stop doing what it wanted to do. A very responsive plane. I wonder if there is some wear in the aerliron cables or servos that actuate the aerlirons. Just a gap that introduces a sway moment in the plane. Could have just been a fast plane on a windy day as well. I have always liked this model plane. Just looks like a sky Corvette. Nice job flying and thanks for the tag along.
Back in the olden days, ones of the first maneuvers we learned even in a twin was a full break stall. This has been changed to an audible warning or the start of a buffet hasn't it? What types of stalls were you required to demonstrate? I love your new plane. You made an excellent choice.
Next time you are at EDC let me know. I live about 10 minutes away and am currently a student at one of the schools there. Congratulations on the new plane too!!
I so regret not getting a pilot license, after 20 years active Air Force. By passed a great opportunity. Sadly stuck with flight computer flight sims. Take it when and where you can.
I have to tell you are very excited about your new plane and I really enjoyed your first training flight. I love the way you explain what you’re doing and that you take us along with you. I’ve been watching you so lone I feel like you’re a really good pilot and I would fly with you Anywhere. I love your channel so don’t change please❤
Great attention and explaination of the details. lPre and post wheels up audio was an issue I am sure you will correct on the next installment based on past single engine vids. New plane == new dynamics.
So you were pilot flying and Eric was pilot monitoring? With a new aircraft like this I would imagine your CRM is at a much higher workload not just for twin engine but for learning what to filter and what not to. Thanks for the video!
Nice ride enjoy! That twin is a great plane to fly! You are going to love the AC. From the looks of the panel I am sure the seller did not get all the $ back. That is the way to purchase an aircraft.
@@johnnunn8688 I meant that you should establish a proper set of procedures on final before attempting to land. Glide path/Glide slope, GUMPS, flaps as needed. A proper approach should include all of the above and not have undone items to do on a pre-landing checklist.
I worry about you in an upgraded airplane. So many pilots get a new airplane. It’s more than they can handle and they crash. Please get lots of training on the new airplane. Don’t assume everything‘s gonna be OK without training. I do appreciate your videos and you , be safe
Nice airplanes..we own 7 of those, non Turbos tho, Seneca I’s. Gotta keep up with the maintenance tho..got 2 hungry puppies out there! $$ good luck!! 🙂 Enjoy that bird..God Bless..
I love the first video with your new aircraft and it was awesome. Really looking forward for other great videos in your twin S3. Keep up the great job of flying and video content.
Thanks!
THANK YOU!!! That covers quite a few of gallons in my new airplane!!🥰 I appreciate it!
@@leighbroschat1270 I should have said, three to five degrees of bank into the good engine. My bad!
It really shows your attention to detail and learning your new plane....Even doing a voice over instead of trying to talk to the camera while learning your new plane. Looking great!
I wondered why there was a change in format 😂.
I have a feeling she could of done it all live vs a voice over but I still loved watching Kay

Great idea with voiceover giving your full attention to the flying and instruction
@RetreadPhoto she mentioned weeks ago that she would not be filming everything
@RetreadPhotoerm, he was recorded, did you not see him?
Again...I love how methodical and proper you are in following the process. Anyone should feel safe flying with you. Congrats on the new bird!

aircraft.

Pilot Debrief spoke highly of you and I agree, you are a good pilot and a good instructor.
Kudos to you and congrats on the new twin. Thank you.
Strap a 10 lb weight in the baggage section with only 1 or 2 people and it makes it much easier on the amount of back pressure in the flare
Good job ms Kay on first training in new bird, as time goes you will get better of course :-)-Kenny

I may be wrong but I don’t think stalls are allowed on light twins. 🤷♂️
I'm training for the MEL private and we only take twin engine stalls to the stall horn.
