In 1966 I went to Minden for flight training at AG Aviation Academy. Earned my Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor Certificate. There I met a cute girl (like Haley) who was also trained at AG Academy in 1966. She earned her Commercial, CFI, Multi-engine and Instrument ratings during our six months of joyful flying in the clear Nevada skies and beautiful scenery such as Lake Tahoe. In September we flew off together pursuing our flying careers in upstate New York. 58 years later we have had great careers, powerful experiences, 3 children, 9 greats and a great-great 14 month old boy. Greatful we are!
Let me just say thank you for being smart and having the first "upgrade" you want as shoulder harnesses... Way too many people ignore that and waste their money on interiors, paint, speed mods, and fancy glass panels. If only more pilots could realize this
A plane that’s as old as I am. Years ago I lived in Gardnerville, adjacent to Miden. That area has exploded with homes. Beautiful area and you can’t go wrong with flying over Lake Tahoe. Nice video! What beautiful day you had to do it.
That was lovely Hayley. I enjoyed the whole trip, including the preflight and might I add well done on a superb edit. That is a nice Airplane you have got yourself, looking forward to more trips with Debbie...
Beautiful scenery and a relaxing flight. Thanks for taking us along with you for the ride! I always enjoy your music choices for your videos. Greetings from Houston. 🛩💙
Just a note the volume on my left speaker was good but right side not so much. Except when you were playing music. Blue on blue sky. With some snow in them hills nice background. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Weekend of flight.
That was a beautiful flight. Thank you. You might consider mounting an "under-tail" camera, also, to get that wonderful scenery captured while viewing the underside of your aircraft. Stay safe.
Just found your channel. Nice plane I love to fly but I am not a pilot. This was some of the most beautiful views great place to fly. Thanks for sharing stay safe and happy flying
I enjoy very much your videos. As a safety instructor for many years I recognize someone that attends to details. “Big Things” are simply several small things amalgamated. The attention to the smaller details, generally, keeps one away from the “big problems” later.
Done the "Minden Dive" several times flying over from KCPU for breakfast or lunch at The Taildragger Cafe. Then circled over the valley to gain altitude to cross the Sierras west bound. Beautiful plane!
New sub here, I follow Mark at Skywagon University and Mark did a video on the Debonair. It is quite a desirable plane. Mark is impressed with the handling and smoothness and also the one he tested had the 550 engine which was fast. Thanks Hayley, I really enjoy aviation videos. Ted in Sebastian, Fl.
so awesome!! I got to fly over Tahoe with my dad in his RV-4. Such a great experience!!!! Awesome video!!!!! He passed last month, so i was watching this through tears. ♥
I wonder why they don’t have a coarse screen over oil fill. Saw a bull dozer rebuild that was caused by someone putting gravel in the oil refill opening. A piece of plastic would likewise be bad.
Nice video. You sure have a lot of flight hours for flying for four years. I love Beechcraft airplanes, they are so pretty. Lake Tahoe is so special. You live in a nice area where there is so much to do. Glad you moved there. I live in Joseph, Oregon….come and see us sometime. Thanks for sharing.
Nice flight in a nice airplane. Good call on the shoulder harness, beats smacking the coconut on the panel. I know of a couple of instances where had the pilot been wearing a shoulder harness although survived alright would have sustained little or no corporal damage. Truly enjoy your videos and looking forward to the next, take care.
I live near Homewood. Your pics while circling the lake are AMAZING!! Thank you so much for posting this video. Words simply cannot convey the beauty of this place. Thank you again, and please keep the videos coming!!
Me, too! You're pretty cool, Hayley... I have a Beechcraft Sierra... love it! Working on my commercial & flight instructor... hope to have both finished by end of year.
Thanks! That brought back memories of PPL training with Decathlon N4060J Aerobatic & Flight Training Co. at Stead, where Dad had his (shortened to get crews to Korea) 5-day survival school in 1953. 54 years later, I flew around Lake Tahoe from the north end with the owner in back protecting his asset (and mine). Fun to hear the callsign recognized, with a "Hey, Tim. We're on downwind, want to stop for breakfast." Great opportunity to fly a spin recovery practice, lose 2000' in a hurry, join the downwind, land, taxi to the cafe and join them for breakfast. Great way to spend some vacation time in January... (Lake Tahoe is the water source for Reno, and one of my instructors was in charge of the water quality section of Nevada DNR, so we shared the same difficulties with EPA over surface water sources in my small Alaska city.) As a fishery biologist, it was interesting to see the locales of Pyramid Lake and Lahontan cutthroat.
Great to see you fly Debbie on her debut over beautiful Lake Tahoe with beautiful blue skies. Do you have time in sailplanes? I know Minden is great soaring center. If you have a glider ticket would be great to see you fly a sailplane. Safe travels.
Congratz on the new plane , she's a very pretty bird and hope your blessed with many hours of great adventures. May your skies be blue and winds calm keep the blue side up :D
Awesome flight! Would definitely love to see a video landing at KTVL and going to explore some of the area. I love SLT, it has been too many years since I've been there :)
Well, that was fun. I was just riding my bicycle over by the airport. I live just north of the airport. I fly a Powered Parachute but not in the Minden Valley. Fun to see it from the air. I may look into flying from the glider area again over on runway 30. We usually fly around Washoe Lake or the Stagecoach dry lake bed. Look forward to more flights around the valley.
I just subscribed because you have a way cool, laid back but very logical way of running your flights. Plus, I love the way your airplane just sorta jumped into the air at rotation! It was like the plane was going "LET ME UP THERE, I GOTTA FLY!" Really cool stuff.
Beautiful plane and scenery. Watching you flying is so relaxing. Small audio suggestion: could you balance the voice sound level between left and right channel. That would sounds better for headphone users, thanks.
Thank you Hayley for taking me along on Debi’s debut flight, she’s a beauty! And Mother Nature has truly blessed us with this wonderful lake 🤗 “Bonanzas are heavy!” So are Debonairs! Love the aviation community 💕
Thanks for the Tahoe tour! This brings back many memories for me. I used to fly gliders out of Truckee, CA so I've made multiple flights over Tahoe usually returning from a cross-country flight from south of Tahoe. I used to leave Freel Peak at about 16K ft and that would give me plenty of altitude to glide back to Truckee. I also love your Bonanza! It would be a dream plane for me to own. Do you give instruction in it? Thanks and fly safe. Ray
You will never forget your first real flight in your first owned aircraft. My first was in a Piper 90 back in 1954. I still remember it as if it was yesterday. I now fly a Daher TBM 960. I will be following your adventures. In your planned upgrades... After the shoulder harnesses to you plan on upgrading to glass instruments?
Nice plane Good pilot. Couple of hints do not change fuel tanks over bad terrain or water. Just in case you have an issue. Better to have fuel and a safe place to land if you need to. Also in a retractable never touch or retract flaps until you clear the runway and better if you are stopped just in case you move the wrong lever. Enjoy your plane.
Hayley I forgot to say, you have a beautiful smile, I like it when you are happy on the plane, you are calm, come and travel around Latin America like the people in motorhomes do, I will follow you and indicate Your channel because you are brave, beautiful and very intelligent

Dream life 😅
Made me Homesick, I grew up in Reno and Incline Village. Lake Tahoe really is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world.
How! What a nice bird. I'm a former Debbi owner based at Camarillo, CA. Your video brings back nice memories. Thanks, blue skies to ya.
Let me just say thank you for being smart and having the first "upgrade" you want as shoulder harnesses... Way too many people ignore that and waste their money on interiors, paint, speed mods, and fancy glass panels. If only more pilots could realize this
Love to watch your local flights. I get to see our beautiful valley from your awesome new plane. Keep those videos coming. Be safe
Wow. Thanks for this. Gorgeous blue sky and mountain view! The wing cam view is amazing.
Beautiful Plane,scenery and Pilot 👍
Your aircraft is very nice. You are a great Pilot. Enjoy your flights with Debi.
Nice flight. Thanks for sharing. Love your aircraft.
Wonderful debut flight! Thank you for taking us along on such a gorgeous day. The Sierra Nevada are so picturesque. So happy for you.
I live vicarously through you Haley. Beautiful person, plane, and scenery!!

Hey! I'm an instructor in Reno and loved seeing Debi in the air! Great job showing off Tahoe. We need more Debonairs in the air
Brilliant video, perfect choices of music that add a beautiful vibe.
Just a note the volume on my left speaker was good but right side not so much. Except when you were playing music. Blue on blue sky. With some snow in them hills nice background.
Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful Weekend of flight.
Love the Tahoe area. I have done a lot of skiing, hiking, backpacking and camping in the area.
Debi is stunning. Super clean. Thanks for taking us along 🤙
Love my Sentry. Won't fly without it. Congrat's on the gorgeous Debonair. Beautiful airplane.
great flight ! thanks Hayley i'll be watching for more....
Wow my congratulations Hayley and happy to see you flying over River Tahoe by your wonderful plane. Hayley you proved that you are a successful pilot.
That was a beautiful flight. Thank you. You might consider mounting an "under-tail" camera, also, to get that wonderful scenery captured while viewing the underside of your aircraft. Stay safe.
Thank you for sharing with us your first time!!! Love your video 📹 my friend!! Nice job!! Take care!!
Love watching your flight videos 😊
Thanks for showing us your new plane. It is a beautiful thing. Yes we can see you love it and the best part it is yours
Just found your channel. Nice plane I love to fly but I am not a pilot. This was some of the most beautiful views great place to fly. Thanks for sharing stay safe and happy flying

great music, fantastic views. Thanks
Love seeing debit fly!! Such a beautiful plane! Thanks for taking us along! So cool, especially the wing top shots!👍
Done the "Minden Dive" several times flying over from KCPU for breakfast or lunch at The Taildragger Cafe. Then circled over the valley to gain altitude to cross the Sierras west bound. Beautiful plane!
Thanks for taking us along on this wonderful flight Hayley.
Shoulder harnesses are a GREAT addition.

Thanks for the flight very impressive. You are awesome!!!
Nice area to fly nice aircraft and nice company, thank you for bringing us along.
Good morning from Minnesota!! Great episode!! Excited to see your upcoming adventures in Debbie!!
Great looking footage over the lake. One lake i would like to fly over is Crater lake i heard its quite beautiful. Debi looks stunning. cheers
Thank you for taking me along on your flight Haley that was an awesome flight over Lake Tahoe
Good luck with Debi and thanks for the beautiful aerial views of the lake! Shoulder harness is a good investment.
Beautiful plane, great flying, enjoyed the video. Thanks.
Oh, love the music as well, very serene!!
I love to see Debi up in the air 🥹 so proud of you! ❤
What an awesome privilege to have a beautiful plane at such a young age. Enjoy Debbie.
so awesome!! I got to fly over Tahoe with my dad in his RV-4. Such a great experience!!!! Awesome video!!!!!
He passed last month, so i was watching this through tears. ♥
really nice plane . minden is such a kool town. basque restarant is real good too.
pilot and plane are superb!
Checking all the boxes for safety. So glad. Always leave an out. Words to live by. Stay safe.
Good preflight! When adding oil, always make sure the little plastic ring is off the quart of oil. You never want one to fall in the oil filler neck!
I wonder why they don’t have a coarse screen over oil fill. Saw a bull dozer rebuild that was caused by someone putting gravel in the oil refill opening. A piece of plastic would likewise be bad.

What an absolutely gorgeous day for flying!
Thank you for the flight. subscribed now. Look forward to more of your videos.
That was a fun flight with an amazing pilot!
Thank you for the ride-a-long!!!
Thank you for taking us along!
Congratulations on your first airplane! Bonanza’s were on my list of planes I wanted to buy. Maybe someday.
Beautiful bird!
Great video! I miss south lake, state line, and the desolation wilderness. Been a few years since I’ve been there
Great flight!
Thanks for sharing cheers

Hello Hayley. Get the book Flying the Beech Bonanza by John Eckalbar. Tons of information there. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
What a beautiful aircraft and I've flown from Tahoe. It really is amazing !
I subscribed as soon as I saw you pull your plane out of the hangar by yourself. Without a motor tug. Awesome !! lol
Me, too! You're pretty cool, Hayley... I have a Beechcraft Sierra... love it! Working on my commercial & flight instructor... hope to have both finished by end of year.

Congratulations! Hope to own one someday also!
How cool. I just started working at there airport there in Minden, Nevada. Hope to run into you some day. I am an A&P IA and a student pilot.

Appreciate it! Debi has some go that's for sure. It's one of my favorite things too!
Very well done. Thank you.

Glad you did your check list. Many accidents are potentiated by failure to make sure all is well.
BEAUTIFUL 🤩
Wow "Debi" is clean AF!
Lovely.
Beautiful bird! Enjoy! ✈️

Thankyou!! No I do not instruct in it- I teach out of a flight club and use their aircraft :)
Tahoe is such a beautiful area.

Flew part 135 from Merced To KRNO direct Columbia, direct Spook Intersection, to Minden to KRNO … great flights in a Turbo Lance 2
Great editing, as a new aviation content creator you are inspiring me. +1 sub, keep up the great work.
Nice plane Good pilot. Couple of hints do not change fuel tanks over bad terrain or water. Just in case you have an issue. Better to have fuel and a safe place to land if you need to. Congrats!!
Looks like a good pilot with a nice plane.
VERY NICE...
That’s awesome
Thank-you, that was beautiful!
Beautiful flight! I live in Truckee, would love to learn to fly sometime.
You need to arrange a meet up with N5129C :) Would be a fun video opportunity
I love your channel! FYI Your Flying audio is only coming across on the left channel Until you added music then on both channels.
A Colab with Stevie Triesenberg would be so cool since you are both in the general area! great video with Debi!
Hayley I forgot to say, you have a beautiful smile, I like it when you are happy on the plane, you are calm, come and travel around Latin America like the people in motorhomes do, I will follow you and indicate Your channel because you are brave, beautiful and very intelligent
