Your trainer was increadably professional and dedicated. He did not try to over instruct like some nervous instructors do. That's how instructing should be. Glad to hear you have completed certification Kay, and a fantastic airplane. Regards from South Africa
Remember, every flight is a training flight, even when the instructor isn't along for the ride. The added comfort of a second engine in IFR conditions is nice to have although in order to take advantage of it on departure you need to understand you climb gradient (or lack of), just flew back from PSM and at 900ft I was in the clouds, month prior it was 400ft and heavy rain. Take it easy for a bit as you are still learning the aircraft, yes it is a big Cherokee but as you noted it is a lot heavier and it is quite a bit faster. Please be safe, and maybe I'll see you and Pops again at OSH this year.
And by god- do NOT fall prey to the devil’s lure of flying far on only one engine. Lose one and it’s time to look down for a strip asap. SSSSOOOOOO many folks burn-in because they thought they could fly home on one engine. I know you’ve heard this a million times. I guess I’m just jealously mansplaining 😂😂😂🎉 take me for a ride?! ❤❤
I'm happy for you, proud of you, and nervous for you all at the same time. Please continue to be careful. And take another lesson or two if needed. Cheers!
Congrats on completing your training in your beautiful plane. How exciting it is to be able to fly alone or with a friend and in complete control. Looking forward to your upcoming videos and all the new adventures you are going to be going on faster and farther.
Thanks for the ride! AC is ready and available? Have a great weekend! Added note before you get your Oxygen system get an Oxygen sensor and see what you need at any given altitude and to develop your needs. Even Pops may be dependent lower or higher just because.
I have a ton of research to do when it comes to getting an oxygen system installed but I think it’s going to be AWESOME flying this airplane at 18,000 feet someday😊

I agree the Mountain High Oxygen system is the BEST. I have used it for 18 years. It really does save. The typical bottle charged to 1800 psi will last (two people using) 10 tip 20 hours depending on your altitude flown.
_Good_ flight and an OK3 landing! It seems search engines do not know what an OK3 landing is. It is a naval aviation term meaning you had a good approach and caught the preferred number three arrestor wire. It is the high grade.
