    • @kubotajordan9502
      @kubotajordan9502 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I run heavy equipment big skids steers with davco mowers on them you better be watching your temp gauges. On any tractor with constant hyd flow it will raise your temps. If you are running a rotary mower on the back of your tractor at the same time to cut up the limbs it really raises your temps when it hot outside. I have a 44" front mounted mower attachment that goes on the side of my bucket for trimming lims up to 2" it works good. Its only works in vertical position its not as nice as this one I really like this one how you can change it from horizontal to vertical easily. y'all have a good product there yall should make one beefy enough for a skid steer the davco only works horizontal postion is a 1000 lbs of bad ass .The blades run about 1200 bucks . What does one of these run?

    i like the unit with the 3 or 4 saw blade for cutting limbs off trees on fence lines and roads, you can cut as deep into the tree as you want with no deck to puch the limbs out of the way.. with the deck you can only take a little at a time, and on the flat the saw blade mow rge bruxh down like corn stocks, then you scoop them all up in a crapple and pile and burn

  • @geraldskaggs3903

    Daniel, put a bush hog on the 3 pt hitch and use it for grass/bushes actually in your trail and the Lane Shark for the overhanging limbs, etc. Then you would have all the bases covered.

  • @larrymixer144

    Well Daniel, I just got my interest peaked. Just may have to see what all you can get one of those configured in. I have a loader on my Farmall 706 and you could put one on each side of the bucket. That would be great if it come in a bigger configuration. The way it is now everyone knows when I start with the mowing in the pastures and CRP ground because I end up with one arm all scratched up from the brush and trees. Our pond I mow it with the brush mower on the back of the tractor and lowering it down till my back gets wet.lol. The county has a couple of mower set ups in a bigger version of what that mower is. They keep the trees and brush from crowding the gravel roads. They can move it at angles so that they can mow both sides of drainage ditches along the roads with it.
    Well I hope you have a great time working with that new attachment for your tractor. Just remember to be safe. And I'll see you next vlog.

    Around here they use a similar but much bigger rig to trim the roadsides -- grass, trees, brush, it hogs it;s way through just about anything. They mount it to an articulated arm, and reach into tight places and way down the sides of the steep hills around here. The first time I saw what it did as it passed through -- I could not for the life of me figure out what could do what it did.

    I'm so jealous. We don't have space for a tractor, so we just bought a walk behind version of this (DR brand). But of course, you can't lift it up and trim trees, and you have to man handle it. Though it is at least self propelled, and still better than hand tools!
