I got one of the last TrailBlazers from a dealer near my Kubota Dealer in the next town over. Frankly, the mechanics at our Kubota dealer thought the TB was a better setup than Lane Shark with the independent power pack. We just mow with it straight out front rather than offset. There is a spot on each side of the TBin the back where it looks like you could put on caster wheels in order to adjust to the ground. We may try that in the future. We may try to run a front hydraulic auger since we have a power pack that gives you a continuous flow of around 12 gpm.
I’ve had my LS2 for 8 months and run it on an MX5400. I’ve probably put 75 hours on the unit since buying it. If I would’ve had to pay someone to cut/clear all I’ve done so far, it would probably be more than double what I paid for LS to begin with. Not to mention that I’m on my time and not someone else’s. This is by far one of my favorite implements and I highly recommend it to anyone who owns or manages more than 40 acres.
I enjoy my TB1 with the power pack attached to my CK2610. I have cut 3" material (cedar) . It is not a shredder but more of a cutter. It is very handy. I'm glad I got it while still available.
Lane Shark deck has always impressed me. Very well constructed. Exposed blades are the way to go. Maybe LS should put an optional (removable) high scoop on the top center and right side to keep material from collecting on the deck. Keep left side open visibly. I do think there are going to be some folks that run a bush hog at the same time (also adding to Neil's lack of tire ballast lol). I really liked that power pack ideas, for the customer that are concerned about their tractors hydraulic. Less installation for the DIY. Just run hoses. Glad M is selling a loader mower again.
Just bought a dealer installed LS3, the smaller and lighter unit, on a Kubota L2501. I am happy to report the unit is well matched and suited for the L series manual transmission. I have used the LS3 for three hours now in a creek bottom environment without an issue. ( 2023-9-12 )
That is a terrible idea. I work for a road department and we use boom mounted shoulder mowers to maintain the shoulders and backslopes of the roads. These things throw debris like crazy. Our tractors are fully enclosed and the cab windows on the mower side of the tractor have been replaced with shatterproof windows to protect us. Selling these to anyone with an open cab or a ROPS tractor is asking for trouble. Even on skid steers they recommend an enclosed cab for mowing. We use New Holland tractors for our boom mowers, I believe they are the 5580, and they are big tractors. Even though we sit much higher than the mower deck we take hits to our cabs all the time.
Had to add on this one, I work at the biggest kuboda dealer in Georgia. Customers can destroy these things and their loaders in no time. The product is great but customers need to be very educated on how it works. Stumps and other things can easily get in the way that you can't see.
As someone who has followed these front mounted mowers for while now, one fact omitted from the video is that Messick's previously sold the lane shark several years ago. They then started selling the Trailblazer mower, and for a short time, actually sold both mowers simultaneously. Because of the competing companies they were forced to stop selling one, and made the decision to stop selling Lane Shark and sell only the Trailblazer mower. Now that Trailblazer went belly up, it looks like they've decided to start selling Lane Shark again. I'm sure that was an awkward conversation when Messicks/Lane Shark reapproached each other after being kicked out years earlier.

Messick's was selling products being offered on the open market, even in direct competition. Having a diverse product line is a plus for retailers and consumers, as competition keeps prices in-check. With the apparent loss in the courts, the Trailblazer product is no longer an option, which is a blow to consumers, who previously had the choice of two competing companies. Now, if you want a product that can perform these tasks, you will need to pay the price that Lane Shark Demands, as they have no competition in the market. Regardless, Messick's will be more than happy to sell you a Lane Shark product, and Lane Shark will be more than happy to ship as many units to them for sale as possible. The loss here is to the customer, because not only did we lose the ability to choose options that fitted our needs and budget, but we're now going to be completely at the mercy of Lane Shark's marketing department with regard to pricing, features and availability. This was an anti-capitalist decision that only harms small-time farmers like me.........................

I wish a loader mounted mower was available for a BX. My father has put countless dents and scratches in our 2 year old BX23s by plunging it through the forest cutting brush with a bush hog. It's an effective method, but way too brutal on the tractor.
Seems like the torque of the weight of the thing off to the side wouldn't be great for the loader, which is not built for a side load like this. Maybe I'm just sensitive having bonked one side of a new loader into a tree, and it hasn't been totally straight since...
Yeah I tend to think if a loader has a heavy weight on one side for a while, it will cause stress on the loader it is not designed for. If the mower weighs just say 400kg you’d probably want to have a loader rated at twice or three times that weight to operate it.
Its attached to your loader, so if your not intelligent about how you use it its very possible to throw debris at the operator. Like any mower you need to turn it on\off while its low to the ground, etc. 800-222-3373 opt 1 for sales assistance.
That 3rd line is a stupid way to do that. There is a valve assembly I think it is called an overrun circuit that can go between the 2 hoses allowing fluid to flow in one direction only. It works like a PTO overrun clutch. the way they are doing it looks like the pump is trying to suck fluid thru a closed line. With the valve the fluid just goes from the outlet port to the inlet port keeping the motor full of oil.
Your missing the problem. Once you stop flowing oil though the 3rd function all the hoses are blocked off. The motor is still spinning and needs to dump that oil at a time all the valves are closed.
I think he’s talking about a crossover valve, and I believe it would work in this situation. It allows the fluid from the hydraulic motor to flow in a closed loop at a set pressure, to eliminate the shock of stopping a motor suddenly.
There are two different Titan's. Titan Attachments is awful China warehouse junk. Titan Implement made this, and recently changed their name to IronCraft because their reputation was getting smeared by Titan Attachments.

I wish a loader mounted mower was available for a BX. My father has put countless dents and scratches in our 2 year old BX23s by plunging it through the forest cutting brush with a bush hog. It's an effective method, but way too brutal on the tractor.
Better than brush hog?
Seems like the torque of the weight of the thing off to the side wouldn't be great for the loader, which is not built for a side load like this. Maybe I'm just sensitive having bonked one side of a new loader into a tree, and it hasn't been totally straight since...
Yeah I tend to think if a loader has a heavy weight on one side for a while, it will cause stress on the loader it is not designed for. If the mower weighs just say 400kg you’d probably want to have a loader rated at twice or three times that weight to operate it.
I think that a counter balance weight added to the opposite would be a good thing.
I am interested is it safe? is their danger of debris hitting the operator and causing injury or causing damage to the tractor?
Its attached to your loader, so if your not intelligent about how you use it its very possible to throw debris at the operator. Like any mower you need to turn it on\off while its low to the ground, etc. 800-222-3373 opt 1 for sales assistance.
I still like the TB with POWER PACK
Man if I could get my hands on one of those I could make a killing here in my area
We ship.
@Messick's Equipment lol unfortunately I don't have that in my budget right now
Has anyone ever developed a loader brush cutter that runs off a mid pto??
@@lisamstraub Not sure on the reason, but the factory says they have tried that valve and it does not work.
would that work on a bx23s?
No, too small. A sickle bar is the best alternative for a BX.
Good luck getting through to anybody at Titan or having them get back to you... I'm not too impressed with Titan...
There are two different Titan's. Titan Attachments is awful China warehouse junk. Titan Implement made this, and recently changed their name to IronCraft because their reputation was getting smeared by Titan Attachments.
@@MessicksEquip good to know thank you
I would definitely be wearing a safety helmet and face shield.
maybe put a link to what you are tryna sell
Here it is, sorry!

Flat tires
I was looking for that before I commented. It seems like there would be a lot of sharp stubbles just waiting to tale out a tire.
@@lynnmor2101 Exactly.
That mower seems like it is to much liability to operate.
