Women CAN'T Do That Here!

  • We join Kimberly and TJ in the aftermath of their big fight. TJ has gone running off downstairs to complain to his family about Kimberly. "I loved her" he says... past tense. It's clear his family's perception of her is being heavily influenced, and just as she feared, Kimberly IS all alone. But, bizarrely, the next morning, TJ wants to act like everything is okay. He wonders upstairs acting like the blow up from last night never happened.
When Kimberly refuses to sweep it under the rug, she tries to explain her point of view but TJ isn't listening. Kimberly feels unheard. And now, as tensions start to build, he starts firing back at her.
TJ calls Kimberly out for her "disrespectful" language and rages at her for claiming there's a cultural gender bias in India. And * surprise surprise * that just sets Kimberly off again!
Oh boy. Have we actually seen TJ and Kimberly smile yet? How on earth are they meant to be getting married in a week?
👇 What are your thoughts? Let's continue the conversation down in the comments below.

But since she will bea housewive she will feel bored very soon because she cant go anywhere and it will take long until indian wives except her. They will be nice, but backbiting a lot. Problem is the home is small and her yelling I am sure could be heard all over the neighborhood.
He shouldn’t have went and talked to them about it but if she had not been acting like a spoiled, mean, child it wouldn’t have even happened. India is not America and Kimberly lived there for a year before yet never bothered to acclimate into society, it shows by her expecting the apartment to look like an American apartment. He didn’t get a builder like we think of (a company) he had to get a person that does each specific job so things often don’t match up or work like you think they should. Also there people consider others lives like the guy that was doing the windows (I think windows) was ill and TJ didn’t want to insist on him doing the work as soon as possible. People there all live together which she is not going to like and her attitude is going to make everyone miserable. Expecting people in Their countries to accommodate you and change because that’s how it was in the US is wrong, if you can’t live like they do then don’t go.
He took out a loan to build the apartment which isn’t a norm there.
Just like the person doing this video thinks things should be there like it is here and if it isn’t it’s wrong, no what is wrong is expecting complete change simply because you decided to go to their country and live.
Would I want to live that way? No but I wouldn’t move there expecting a change for me.
What does Kimberly think she is going to do all the time there, spend her time talking with her “spirit guides”? He should have told her what would be expected of her, but once again she lives there a year and if she was an intelligent adult she would have seen exactly how his family and much of India lives.
She keeps saying no one listens but does she listen? No she continues to tell him her language is fine even though she said she cussed from an early age, that’s not ok.
Screaming at someone is not going to get you what you want. No matter how much they had talked about the apartment it is not going to ever be a American apartment.
I seriously doubt his mom was planning on sitting down and doing nothing but I have a feeling Kimberly planned on spending her time in her apartment and avoiding his family, that’s not going to work.

it's funny because my husbands mom didn't like me when we first started dating and even when we got married but when we fight he will ask his mom for advice and she will take my side when she can see her son was wrong. so parents need to learn to be Impartial until you hear the FULL story before painting someone as the bad guy, I will never coddle my kids that way either, there is no way they are always in the right and they need to learn that more likely they BOTH are wrong

Ignorant by choice. My partner comes from a completely different culture, religion, continent etc. Theres no excuse to not inform yourself of the dos and don'ts, typical gender expectations and roles within the home and community...then, take the info you learned to your partner and discuss. If you can't discuss stuff like that upfront then he or she ain't for you. Dating someone from a vastly different culture from you is hard work and it takes a high level of openness, compromise, self exploration and extremely uncomfortable discussions, often done in a language that at least one partner doesn't speak as a mother language. It's not easy and you have to really want everything about it to work. This, what she did and said, is so insanely disrespectful. My partner is more grateful when I make him a cup of coffee in the morning than when this guy built her a whole home. Just go home and date an American, this life and type of relationship isn't for you. There is no space for ego or always being right 🙄

According to TJ, their mom had a fight with their dad 20 years ago and he’s been sleeping on the living room floor ever since. That’s probably why he never says anything, and the one time he tried to speak to tell Yash to stop antagonizing TJ and Kim, the mom shut him down. But that’s no reason for the grown sons to sleep in mommy’s bed, especially with both a single bed and double bed in the bedroom. That whole arrangement is creepy asfk. I think the dad is sick of their sh*t and would’ve left his toxic wife long ago if divorce was an acceptable option for him.

Clearly he hasn't shown the work he's done before for her to see the place, and he hasn't informed her what the expectations of a wife he wants. While Kimberly is a bit delusional to think they're going get married without understanding what kinda culture he's from.
