The problems with the apartment aren't little fixes. The door to the bathroom opens into the shower. The toilet is visible from a big window, no wall. And the sink is outside the bathroom completely. Whoever built this really messed up. I can see why Kimberly is upset. But her reaction was way too over the top.
Plenty of custom built homes in the US have the sink outside the bathroom so that it can still be accessed when the toilet is in use. Sink outside the bathroom isn't some major building issue. It's all minor inconveniences, especially when you keep in mind the quality of the homes in the area that we've seen and also the fact that India doesn't have the same building codes/standards as the US.
I feel so bad for TJ. He has done so much for her, much more than the other two Indian men on 90-day Fiance did, and she can't be grateful at all. I spent 3-1/2 months in India, and I think this apartment is really nice. I also wonder, like you mentioned, was the structure already there, or did they build it from scratch just 2 months ago? She and TJ might be a good couple, but if she can't adapt to Indian culture, how will they survive together?

As a woman that grew up in Scandinavia, I cannot imagine giving up my personal freedom to be reduced to being a maid for a whole family. Okay I am Indian woman and I live currently in Canada. I have had quite a lot of experience with Indian men both in India and outside India - all I can say is DON'T be with Indian men if you aren't okay with bare minimum. They aren't expected by our society to do much, WOMEN? You are expected to work right after a surgery. Men do SOME more if they love you crazy amounts which I can see here. Though don't expect them to change their patriarchal ways. Don't expect to them be a partner. They haven't even seen their fathers do much. Don't expect them to educate themselves on your issues.
Honestly, considering the area they're in, that apartment looks great. Might look a little rough around the edges, but that's because Americans are used to seeing a house literally ready to move in(might even already be furnished). Yes I agree but Deavans situation with Jihoon was honestly terrible. Instead of working and preparing for her and their child to live in Korea, he had some sort of gambling addiction debt? and refused to work full time. Deavans frustrations made sense but before having a child, starting a marriage, losing respect for their partner and yelling at them daily, I think these women need to take some reponsibility. They made a poor decision and kept moving forward with it. The truth is no Korean woman would marry Jihoon the way he was irresponsible. It's a really long, rough flight. THAT is how she ended up melting down within hours. The problems with the apartment aren't little fixes. The door to the bathroom opens into the shower. The toilet is visible from a big window, no wall. And the sink is outside the bathroom completely. Whoever built this really messed up. I can see why Kimberly is upset. But her reaction was way too over the top.

Plenty of custom built homes in the US have the sink outside the bathroom so that it can still be accessed when the toilet is in use. Sink outside the bathroom isn't some major building issue. It's all minor inconveniences, especially when you keep in mind the quality of the homes in the area that we've seen and also the fact that India doesn't have the same building codes/standards as the US.
This apartment looks actually really nice for India from my experience there. This is new construction. Her expectations were way too high

I feel so bad for TJ. He has done so much for her, much more than the other two Indian men on 90-day Fiance did, and she can't be grateful at all. I spent 3-1/2 months in India, and I think this apartment is really nice. I also wonder, like you mentioned, was the structure already there, or did they build it from scratch just 2 months ago? She and TJ might be a good couple, but if she can't adapt to Indian culture, how will they survive together?

However, when you're in a relationship, you never run to your family when you have a spat. It creates an unfair dynamic in the marriage and makes the other person's family. Hostile towards your partner. And even when you make up, your family will still hate your partner. Because you have fed them your feelings in a moment that you were very upset.

I dont get why these women are not aware about the other culture they’re getting themselves into. As a woman that grew up in Scandinavia, I cannot imagine giving up my personal freedom to be reduced to being a maid for a whole family. I know this is normal in their culture but I just can’t begin to wrap my head around it and I’m comfortable with the freedom that I have. I’ll do basic household chores - but being expected to do as much as you have to like in the Indian culture would be such a huge change and a huge shock. If I were to marry a man of vastly different culture- I’d have to make sure he’s also in the same page as me that we’ll both share household responsibilities especially since I wouldn’t give up my job to be a stay at home wife.

Okay I am Indian woman and I live currently in Canada. I have had quite a lot of experience with Indian men both in India and outside India - all I can say is DON'T be with Indian men if you aren't okay with bare minimum. They aren't expected by our society to do much, WOMEN? You are expected to work right after a surgery. Men do SOME more if they love you crazy amounts which I can see here. Though don't expect them to change their patriarchal ways. Don't expect to them be a partner. They haven't even seen their fathers do much. Don't expect them to educate themselves on your issues.

Honestly, considering the area they're in, that apartment looks great. Might look a little rough around the edges, but that's because Americans are used to seeing a house literally ready to move in(might even already be furnished). Americans aren't used to seeing a place JUST finished or about to be finished. That apartment is basically almost done, and it's very clear he bought high quality materials compared to everyone else in that same area/neighborhood. She needs to be grateful and I think that's why there's so much conflict here. She doesn't understand how hard and expensive it must've been to get this all done with local villager workers(even though he tried telling her about it). She completely ignored everything he was saying and again started talking about herself and her feelings. This whole relationship is doomed and it's not because of him, SHE is the issue
Americans are use to wooden houses that can break down easily. They are beautiful because its wood and gypsum. In other countries they make concrete houses which are harder to make seamless but last throughout generations.

It's a really long, rough flight. THAT is how she ended up melting down within hours. Plus, dealing with wedding stress, and add to it having to deal with construction in a third world country--I am surprised she was as calm as she was!

I understand both sides when it comes to the apartment. I am someone who likes to be in charge and know what is going on at all times. I feel TJ should have been transparent with her in that regard, but I also understand that he wanted to do something on his own without her micromanaging everything. However, that's what happens when you have two people wanting to take the reins. Honestly, I hated Kimberly's reaction (anyone else think she looks like Amanda Bynes???) because she didn't take into consideration how much effort he was putting to make her feel comfortable. Walking into that apartment really felt like an American style home with the decorations there. I don't know if it was her designs or his choice of how to decorate, but it looks like her own little Anerican home as opposed to TJ's parents' place. Looking at the marble washbasin broke my heart, because it's efforts like that that really shows someone's effort and to see her look at everything like a dead rat was abhorrent.
