I’m Indian and this not an uncommon practice. You would find people who follow these customs in more traditional/suburban communities in many parts of north India. They revere cows and will literally bathe in urine if they could because they think it cures all. I can’t believe TJ never told Kim about all this. I am an Indian and yes cow and all it's by products are considered holy and they are used in any religious ceremony, they must have been used in their marriage too. But what I see here is an extreme orthodox behaviour not just in the name of religion but in the name of culture with no open mind or grace for a person coming from a completely opposite culture to accept it all (that will obviously be a shocker for them) .what about giving someone some time and space as to whether they want to incorporate those things in their life and equating everything to insulting the culture and religion . And they live in some city area only, even in villages these things dont happen .. I am being an Indian resident saying this just by looking at the guy only I would have said no to marry this guy, he drips of delusion and immaturity and nonsense and lies. And I can also say for a bug chunk of of Indian women too who would never willingly want marry this person or his family . He has a visa to come to the US soon for business meetings in California and New York. He’s wealthy enough to buy 2-3 new pairs of prescription glasses a month, because he said he keeps accidentally breaking them.
      From a Reddit user:
“According to Tejaswi’s LinkedIn profile, he’s currently based out of Gurugram, Haryana, and not in Jaipur. In his profile, Tejaswi says that he works as a Senior Associate CGT (Americas Public Equity) at GLG full-time. Tejaswi’s job requires him to host events and contribute to content strategy by building a pipeline of programmable events, identify and research market trends and company updates, and execute user-focused event strategy, and ensure all content meets high quality and compliance standards in the workplace. Tejaswi is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) candidate for the year 2023.”

As an Indian I would like to confirm people in India are madly obsessed with cow urine it is sprinkled around the house on a mensurating woman on her fifth day to make her ‘pure’ cow urine is sold in stores that sell prayer goods other Indians saying this is not are just trying to defend themselves this is a standard Brahmin practice most Brahmins do this in their homes except the ones that live metropolitan cities like mumbai or Delhi in rural and urban rural cities this is very common. People who beg to differ are just being ignorant like they always are defending their backward practices traditions also people here se cow as pure and sprinkle it for purification and expect people from other to respect their culture accept it and not judge while don’t hesitate even a bit criticising other people’s cultures and beliefs hygiene is big problem in India. (Now fellow Indians will tell me to go Pakistan)

Why do man marry one woman then ex9ect her to change into someone different like a ring is amagic genie. Why marry a modern American whyt girl then expect her to be the perfect traditional rural Indian wife. If they are still together I would be shocked!

8:31 so she’s a new daughter-in-law and it’s her first kitchen ceremony. She’s going to be cooking for the first time for the family.. that is why they’re doing this ritual and it’s only done when she cooks for the first time.. as it’s an respectful thing for Indians because they cooked with this cow manure many years ago on a mud stove it’s like native Indians eat turkeys on Thanksgiving and Americans still eat turkey on that day but they’re not eating it. They’re just doing a ritual by burning it if she ask them maybe they will explain it to her.

We are a brahman hindu family too and we do it almost every second day in mumbai. I don't know what kind of hindus you guys are. Sprinkling cow urine is actually healthy and clean. It keeps the bugs away too. And it's also good luck for wealth too (lakshmi)
