I've read research articles that say the opposite though. That less than 7 hours of sleep exponentially increases your chances of heart attack. Regardless though, we can only really sleep when we are tired and I do agree with that.

My brother sleeps wvery two days. He is wake for like 40 hours than sleeps for 9 hours. Works for him. He works 2 jobs and is earning good money. I will try to do something similar.

My goal isn't about business or money. I'm almost 18 and I function my best on 8 hours sleep a night. BUT...i am a very light sleeper. My mom recently got some laying chickens and placed the coop right next to my room. They make the loudest squawking every morning when they're laying. First it was at about 7:30 but not they start at 6:15. It just keeps getting earlier. Everyone can sleep through the noise but me. I even use white noise to drain out the sounds but they still wake me up. That's why I'm currently going to try and force myself to follow this routine. Trying to have hope in this annoying time in my life.

😔For many years I worked / functioned on auto pilot and getting very little sleep every day and eventually I collapsed. I’m not sure if I was even getting deep quality sleep during the few hours I did sleep (I probably wasn’t). The stress of it all was too much. Looking back, I’m not too sure of how effective I was & I accomplished a lot but a lot of it is just a blur. Now, I find that my body naturally wants 7-8 hours no matter what time I go to sleep I will naturally wake up 7-8 hours later. Of course if I have a need to be up at a certain time (catch a flight, a meeting, get to the office by a specific time etc) I get up and do what I have to do but I try to let my body naturally fall asleep and naturally wake up. 😁
Got a pup started sleeping in two episodes. 4 hours, wake up, take him outside then back down for a few hours. As the weeks went by that second episode gotshorter. Down to less than 2 hours. Then they merged. Its been 5 weeks that ive had my little guy and this last few days ive been slwwping about 5 or so hours. Had one bout of drowsiness but im a driver its not odd. If none of that works and you've not figured it out, I recommend what I call a miracle medication called Modafinil (Provigil). It's similar to Adderall but is not an amphetamine, it's used for the same thing Adderall is used for but with also does more, and it's a very VERY low risk for dependence. It helps A LOT with insomnia, shift work, sleepiness, sleep regulation, and is fantastic for focus.
Try 7.5 or 6 h.5 hours you might be just waking up while in a different phase of sleep, did u try sleeping with no alarm for a week and see what time your body wants, diet plays a big role too, don't eat before bed once you body in rhythm you'll need less sleep.

you don't release cortisol in the morning. Your cortisol levels are the highest a couple of hours before you wake up.
